The prevalence of obesity continues to increase and has become one of the significant risk factors for insulin resistance. This condition contributes to the rising prevalence of diabetes mellitus and various metabolic disorders. This study aimed to investigate the association between risk factors andblood glucose levels in individuals with obesity. The respondents were individuals with obesity who had existing medical records and subsequently registered at the outpatient clinic of IHC Lavalette Hospital, Malang. This research employed an observational study design with a cross-sectional method. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria, resulting in 121 respondents. Data were collected through interviews and medical records and analysed using Fisher exact test. The results showed that certain risk factors were significantly associated with the occurrence of hyperglycemia, including male (OR = 8.376; 95% CI: 1.619–83.695), age 51–75 years (OR = 10.283; 95% CI: 1.979– 102.917), and not taking OADs (OR = 8.426; 95% CI: 1.855–52.901). No significant associations were observed for employment status, marital status, family history of diabetes mellitus, sleep habits, or class I and II obesity. Results related to comorbidity and several odds ratio estimates had wide confidence intervals, reflecting uncertainty due to the small number of cases. Further studies with larger sample sizes are warranted

The increase in bankruptcy and The Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) cases in Indonesia occurs due to the failure to pay by the company, such as non-payment of debts to creditors or non-payment of workers' rights due to the company's declining financial situation. In addition, the increase in bankruptcy and The Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations cases is also supported by the requirements for filing bankruptcy applications which are very easy to fulfill. In the event that the debtor is a company, the applications for bankruptcy declaration can also be filed by workers because workers can be referred to as preferred creditors because wages and rights that have not been received by workers are debts that take precedence in payment. However, in relation to the failure to make payments by employers for wages or workers' rights, the applications for bankruptcy declaration by workers should be used as an ultimum remedium(the last resort), namely as a last resort for resolving the problem because if there is an industrial relations dispute between workers and company related to non-payment of wages or workers' rights, the state has provided legal remedies through the mechanism of Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement (PPHI). Based on this, the purpose of this paper is to find out whether the failure or inability of the company to make payments of wages or workers' rights can be resolved through the bankruptcy or The Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations instrument whereas as we know that rights disputes in labor disputes should be resolved through the Industrial Relations Dispute Resolution mechanism as stipulated in Law Number 2 of 2004 concerning Industrial Relations Dispute Resolution

Unraveling The Nephroprotective Potential of Curcuma zedoaria Against Chronic Kidney Disease: A Network Pharmacology Approach

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) remains a major global health concern with limited treatment options. Curcuma zedoaria , a traditional medicinal plant, has shown potential in managing inflammatory and oxidative stress-related conditions. This study aimed to explore its nephroprotective mechanisms through a network pharmacology approach. A total of 12 bioactive compounds were identified from C. zedoaria and screened for drug-likeness. SwissTargetPrediction revealed multiple molecular targets, with curdione, dehydrocurdione, and curcumin showing the highest connectivity. Integration with CKD-associated genes from GeneCards and GSE66494 datasets yielded 241 common targets. Using Cytoscape, a compound–target–disease network was constructed, highlighting key biological processes such as inflammation, apoptosis, and fibrosis. PPI analysis identified top hub proteins including HSP90AA1, STAT3, SRC, AKT1, MAPK1, and MAPK3. Functional enrichment via GO and KEGG pathways revealed significant involvement of EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance and HIF-1 signaling pathways. These findings suggest that C. zedoaria exerts protective effects through a multitarget mechanism modulating critical pathways in CKD progression. This study provides a theoretical basis for further experimental validation and supports the potential use of C. zedoaria as a complementary therapy in CKD management.   Submitted: 21-05-2025, Revised: 15-06-2025, Accepted: 17-06-2025, Published regularly: June 202
