Coronavirus in Pregnant Women: Literature Review
The coronavirus viruses cause infectious conditions that evolve with greater severity in patients with reduced immunity, a fact that can be observed in pregnant women. In these, anatomical and physiological changes occur that can compromise immunity, which can lead to complications. Faced with the pandemic by COVID-19, the present study aimed to discuss the possible risk of the pregnant woman and the fetus facing infection with this virus, which initially presents respiratory symptoms and with lower gastrointestinal prevalence. . Based on the data collected, it was observed that, in many cases, pregnant women develop respiratory, renal and cardiovascular complications, requiring ICU admission and mechanical ventilation. This can lead to fetal distress, placental detachment, spontaneous abortion, reduced fetal growth and risk of maternal-fetal death. Thus, attention must be redoubled in health surveillance and education for this group, as well as the availability of the health care system and clinical, epidemiological and laboratory diagnosis is required, since most patients tend to evolve with clinical complications
Personalized Learning in Education
Personalized learning has been from the time past as learning which focuses on aptitudes, interests, and needs of a learner. Owing to its importance in the teaching and learning world, it has availed manifold popularity. Ten years ago, many nations such as the United Kingdom, USA, New Zealand as well as Australia have integrated this mode of training. It is seen and promoted as the major learning technique for preparing the youths towards the 21st-century pre-requisites as well as the expectations of the society from them, [1]. According to some scholars, it is very understandable in the aspect of vocational learning [2]. Personalized learning customizes learning as per a specific student’s needs, skills, strengths as well as interests in these techniques. Each scholar is given an erudition scheme which is as per his/her best process of learning as well as knowledge. However, personalized learning cannot replace other strategies like a 504 plan, IEP or an intervention program. New Perspectives for NoSQL Database Design: A Systematic Review
The use of NoSQL databases has increasingly become a trend in software development, mainly due to the expansion of Web 2.0 systems. However, there is not yet a standard to be used for the design of this type of database even with the growing number of studies related to this subject. This paper presents a systematic review looking for new trends regarding strategies used in this context. The result of this process demonstrates that there are still few methodologies for the NoSQL database design and there are no design methodologies capable of working with polyglot persistence
Software Interface for Calculation of Gear Parameters
Designing of helical involute gears involve several parameters to be considered. It includes the calculation of the gear parameters, the use of several commercial packages such as Autodesk drafting package, solid work package, Ansys package … etc. The commercial packages are usually work on standard gears. Their libraries store gears that can be used by inserting the standard parameters not the modified parameters. When dealing with modified gears the profile is digitized and fed as discrete points to the package. As the modifications involve profile modification, gear undercutting, tip relief, inserting of gear backlash which result in varying all gear parameters, so a need to computerize this process and present a file that is read by the majority of the commercial packages. This paper gives a software interface capable of calculating all the parameters of involute helical gears including their modifications and saves them in Formatted files that can be read directly by the other gear packages
Correlation between Ultrasonographic Grading of Fatty Liver and Lipid Profile
Fatty liver disease can easily cause detrimental changes when it slolwly progressess towards the aggressive stages of liver fibrosis leading to cirrhosis, and it can also cause collateral damages in the form of cardiovascular diseases and atherosclerotic disease. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between the grading of fatty liver disease provided by the ultrasound with lipid profile work of the affected patient. A comparative analytical study was conducted on 138 patients affected with fatty liver disease,the patients were chosen by convenient sampling technique. Study was conducted at Radiology Department of General Hospital Lahore and Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahimyar khan during July 2019 to October 2019. Total 138 patients data were analyzed. Out of 138 males were 65 (47.1%) males and females were 73 (52.9%) w.The study indicated that the total number of patients having grade 1 fatty liver was 84 (60.9%), patients having grade 2 fatty liver was 52 (37.7%) and patients having grade 3 fatty liver was 2 (1.4%). Out of 138 patients there were total 67 (48.6%)cases of patients with fatty liver disease and out of 138 patients, 71 (51.4%) were considered normal .Female patients were allegedly found to be more effected with fatty liver than males and majority of patients fell into the category of grade1 fatty liver. Since the majority of the patient fell into the category of grade 1 of fatty liver disese and there lipid profile test also indicated towards normal values so the risk of developing any cardiovascular disease among the patients was mininal
Physical (Morphometric) and Electrocardiographic Parameters in Balkan Donkey in Serbia
Balkan donkey is a native donkey breed that lives in Balkan peninsula and traditionally is reared in Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro. Since the population has declined severely and only less than 200 males and females are actively breeding the breed status is endangered and it is included in AnGR preservation/conservation program in Serbia. The organized breeding and development of the breed description has started at the beginning of the 21 century and the breed is not fully described yet. This is the first time that that clinical procedures- ECG, have been evaluated in concern with frame and size of Balkan donkey. Our results show that there is a need to expand our investigation to fulfill gap in understanding Balkan donkey physiology and diagnostics. The evaluation of morphometric and electrocardiographic parameters in endangered Balkan donkey breed in Serbia was performed and individual data important for clinical evaluation and breeding were estimated in aim to provide initial morphometric and electrocardiographic data for the endangered Balkan donkey breed in Serbia and to assess the ECG procedure in relation to specific anatomy and body proportions of the breed
Genetic Algorithm applied to the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem: an analysis of the influence of different encoding schemes on the population behavior
Genetic Algorithm (GA) is an optimization method that has been widely used in the solution of NP-Hard (Non-deterministic Polynomial-time) problems, among which is the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), widely known in the literature due to its applications in the logistics and supply sectors, and which is considered in this work. However, finding solution for any optimization problem using GA presupposes the adoption of a solution encoding scheme that, according to the literature, impacts its performance. However, there is a lack of works in the literature exploring this theme. In this work we carry out an analysis of the main encoding schemes (binary and integer) employed in the GA for the solution of the capacitated VRP (CVRP), in order to evaluate the influence of each of them on the behavior of the GA population and, consequently, on the algorithm performance. To this end, we developed a computational tool that allows visualizing the GA individuals (solutions) mapped to a two-dimensional space. Based on the experiments conducted, we observed that, in general, integer vectors provide better conditions for GA individuals to explore the solution space, leading to better results. The results found, besides corroborating some assumptions in the literature, may justify the preference for integer encoding schemes to solve CVRP in recent literature works. In addition, this study can contribute to the choice and/or proposition of heuristics that allow GA to search for better quality solutions for the VRP with less computational effort
The 2019 M 3.4 Yangon Earthquake in Ayeyarwady Delta Basin
An earthquake of M 3.4 occurred in Yangon with epicenter at Dalah, 6 km SSE of Yangon at 15:24:18 pm (UTC) on 12th November, 2019. Its epicenter was situated at 16.751°N, 96.18°E and at depth 10 km (6.2 miles) (USGS, NEIC). It was a slight earthquake and vibration was severe and people felt strong shaking in almost every townships of the Yangon Region but no severe damages. The event was preceded by a loud sound and heavy shaking last 8 seconds. Ground deformation by this event is slanting of the high-rise buildings in some townships, liquefaction features like water seepage from underground to the surface and slight cracks on the wall of the buildings. The causative fault for the earthquake is believed to be a reverse fault with strike-slip component of the NNW-SSE trending Yangon fault. This is due to basin inversion in Ayeyawady Delta Basin. On 13th January 2013 an earthquake with the same magnitude occurred at 10 km depth. It was a slight earthquake and vibration was felt in several townships of Yangon. In 17 December, 1927, an earthquake with magnitude 7.0 hit Yangon and caused certain amount of damages. It was felt15,000 sq.km from Kyangin to Dedaye along the western slope of Bago Yoma. In Yangon, the shock was much severer causing widespread alarm and damage to concrete buildings. Focal mechanism solution of the 1927 event was a strike-slip faulting (USGS). In July, 1930 Bago earthquake with M=7.3 effected Yangon, vibration spread caused damage to the buildings and 500 persons in Bago and 50 persons were killed in Yangon respectively. The last record of significant earthquakes that struck Yangon is on 30th September,1978 with M 5.7 at 10 km depth
Sustainability Assessment: Offsetting Carbon Emissions from Energy Use at the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC)
Mitigation of climate change and development of ecological practices is an important goal in religious organizations. Current work aims in the investigation of the possibility of offsetting the net carbon emissions due to energy use in the Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC), Greece. Energy generated by fossil fuels and renewable energy sources is currently used in the premises of the Academy. The total annual energy consumption and the energy sources currently used in the religious organization are initially estimated. Various future scenarios are investigated regarding energy consumption in the Academy, energy sources used and their carbon emissions, as well as the possibility of carbon emissions sequestration with various tree plantations. The annual energy consumption in the Academy has been estimated at 264,257 KWh while its energy consumption per covered area is 31.31 KWh/m2. Among various energy sources used, electricity has the highest share at 95.76%, while 32.47% of the overall energy consumption is currently generated by a solar-PV system installed on-site. It is indicated that the combined use of energy-saving techniques and technologies, the higher use of various renewable energy sources and the sequestration of any remaining carbon emissions with tree plantations could eliminate all carbon emissions due to energy use in the Academy. The most appropriate sustainable energy technologies are solar-thermal, solar-PV and high efficiency heat pumps which are currently mature, reliable and cost-effective. Additionally olive tree orchards, carob tree orchards and Eucalyptus tree plantations could be created for carbon emissions sequestration. It has been concluded that with the reduction of the current energy consumption by 20%, the installation of a solar-PV system at 50 KWp, and the creation of an olive tree orchard at 14 ha, the net annual carbon emissions due to energy use in the Academy could be eliminated. The results indicate the way that the Orthodox Academy of Crete could zero its impacts on climate change due to energy use in its premises
Dynamical Behavior of Brusselator System Driven by Non-Gaussian Noise
The non-Gaussian noise induced the mean first passage time (MFPT) in Brusselator system are examined. In this paper, the path integral method is used to approximate non-Gaussian noise to Gaussian color noise. The FPT of the 50000 response tracks is obtained by solving the system equation through the fourth-order stochastic Runge-Kutta algorithm. Then we get the MFPT. The influences of the noise intensity, correlation time and non-Gaussian parameter of non-Gaussian noise on the MFPT are characterized. We also found the noise enhanced stability (NES) phenomenon in the system
