Harbor-house design with recycled insulation materials for sustainable development

    No full text
The building information modeling (BIM) methodology used in the construction, architecture, and engineering sectors may be a vital way to optimize building efficiency and decrease the sectors' ecological effects. Given the request for more energyefficient constructions, it is significant to use the BIM-based BEM method. Thus, designers are able to compare and identify diverse sustainable scenarios at the first step of the plan, thereby conserving money, time, and other resources. Due to the rising environmental concerns over the last several years, sustainable and green constructions have become more popular. Buildings now account for a sizeable portion of global energy use and are a substantial source of greenhouse gas emissions throughout 50the course of their lifetimes. Constructing green buildings can be a laborious process to implement several sustainable design criteria, but incorporating BIM into the planning can make the process easier. In this research, BIM is used to evaluate the sustainability of a harbor house's construction. In the city of çanakkale, Turkey, this study is done to investigate the energy-efficiency benefits of using different building and insulation materials for constructing a green harbor home. In addition, this study focused on the contribution of environmental waste to energy efficiency in buildings by considering recycled insulation materials. According to the investigation, there was an energy savings of around 2.44% between the highest and the lowest energy-efficient types when compared to designed types with different insulation and construction materials. Therefore, sustainability judgments about the design can be made using this method since various design possibilities may easily be developed within the conceptual phase itself

Background Cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED) procedures are prone to complications. In our study, we investigated the effect of body mass index (BMI) on CIED-related complications.Methods1676 patients who had undergone CIED surgery (de novo implantation, system upgrade, generator change, pocket revision or lead replacement) at two heart centers in Turkey and met the study criteria were included in our study. For analysis of primary and secondary endpoints, patients were classified as non-obese (BMI = 30 kg/m(2)). The primary endpoint was accepted as cumulative events, including the composite of clinically significant hematoma (CSH), pericardial effusion or tamponade, pneumothorax, and infection related to the device system. Secondary outcomes included each component of cumulative events. Results The rate of cumulative events, defined as primary outcome, was higher in the obese patient group, and we found a significant difference between the groups (3.0%, 4.3%, 8.9%, p = .001). CSH and pneumothorax rates were significantly higher in the obese patient group (0.3%, 0.9%, 1.9%, p = .04; 1.0%, 1.4%, 3.3%, p = .04, respectively). According to our multivariate model analysis; gender (OR:1.882, 95%CI:1.156-3.064, p = .01), hypertension (OR:4.768, 95%CI:2.470-9.204, p < .001), BMI (OR:1.069, 95%CI:1.012-1.129, p = .01) were independent predictors of cumulative events rates. Conclusions Periprocedural complications associated with CIED (especially hematoma and pneumothorax) are more common in the group with high BMI

Iconographical interpretations of new figured composition on the Walls of Diyarbakır

Diyarbakır is one of the largest cities in Southeastern Anatolia. The fact that it is on trade routes and is geologically important has paved the way for the city to be used as a permanent settlement throughout history. There are historical artifacts in the city, where many civilizations ruled. The geometric, floral and figurative ornaments engraved on these works reflect the artistic and cultural development of the period in which they were engraved. One of the structures that draws attention with its figurative decorations among these works is the fortification walls surrounding the city. Among the figures engraved on the bastions, gates or wall surfaces, the figure of the eagle, known for its symbols of power, strength and domination, is important. This figure was sometimes made in a single composition and sometimes in a composition. In some signs, the throne is located at the top of the scenes as double-headed and in some signs or doors as single-headed. In the article, in the field studies in 2022-2023, it was tried to introduce the figurative composition that we determined in a rectangular frame on the eastern face of the Inner Castle facing the Tigris Valley, on the left of the Oğrun Gate, on the beginning of the single-line inscription belt on the wall. The fact that the stone in which this composition was processed was worn out paved the way for two different interpretations of the composition. The first is the mother eagle-puppy eagle; the second is the fight scene of the eagle-topped toy bird. In the first comment, it was commented that the mother eagle-puppy eagle could be emphasized and the symbols of compassion and compassion could be processed in the defense structure, and the sultan of the period protected the person appointed as the governor under his own power. In the second, it was stated that the eagle-topped toy bird was the fight scene. With this scene, it was interpreted that the sultan wanted to show his power and strength to his enemies. © 2024, Ataturk Universitesi.

Bieb. is used in traditional medicine as wound healing, antidiabetic, antibacterial, antimalarial, antirheumatic, diuretic, antipyretic, antibacterial, tonic, astringent, choleretic. It is popularly used as poultice, pounded, infusion, decoction, external, and internal. This study aimed to develop and in vitro characterize the methanol extract of Centaurea depressa (MCD)-containing nanoemulsion formulation (MCD-NEF) to heal the wound effectively and analyze the phenolic compounds. MCD-NEF was prepared and its droplet size, PDI, and ZP, and viscosity were determined. The effect of MCD and MCD-NEF on human dermal fibroblast cell viability was examined by MTT assay. MCD's phenolic compound profiles were analyzed by LC-MS/MS. Also, MCD and MCD-NEF's wound healing potential was evaluated using the scratch assay. The droplet size, PDI, ZP, pH and viscosity values for the MCD-NEF were found to be 152.42 ± 3.50 nm, 0.187 ± 0.020, (−)27.67 ± 1.68 mV, 5.57 ± 0.03, and 1.891 ± 0.010 cP, respectively. In the cell viability assay, the highest percentage of living cells was obtained at concentration of 16 μg/mL for the MCD and MCD-NEF. In the scratch assay, MCD-NEF showed significantly ameliorated wound closure % rates at 24 and 30 h than the control, MCD and blank-NEF (without MCD) groups (p < 0.001). In this study, immunofluorescence staining was carried out. TGF-β1 and FGFR-2 expressions in MCD-NEF-treated fibroblast cells increased significantly at 24 and 30 h compared to the control, MCD, and B-NEF groups (p < 0.001). MCD's. Twenty-seven phenolic compounds, including quinic acid, chlorogenic acid, cynaroside, cosmosiin, protocatechuic acid and isoquercitrin were determined by LC-MS/MS to be major phytochemical compounds in MCD. Our findings show that MCD-NEF may be promising for better wound healing

Public receivables, depending on the sovereign power and law of the State, are taxes, duties, fees, fines, tax penalties and other provisions related to these, and other receivables aimed at the fulfillment of public expenditures. The necessity of continuous maintenance of public services necessitates the collection of public receivables without delay. While Law No. 6183, determines the principles for the collection and follow-up of public receivables, it also foresees some assurance measures to protect these receivables. Two of the assurance measures for the protection of public receivables regulated in Law No. 6183 are precautionary assessment (Law No. 6183, art. 17-20) and provisional attachment (Law No. 6183, art. 13-16). Precautionary accrual is the accrual process carried out without completing the assessment and notification stages of the taxpayer's public debts that have not yet been accrued due to taxes and duties within the scope of Law No. 213, as well as their increases and penalties. Precautionary seizure is the seizure of the public debtor's property sufficient for its debt in advance and as temporary legal protection, by the decision of the highest local officer of the creditor public administration, in order to secure the timely payment of the public receivable in the presence of one of the situations limitedly listed in Law No. 6183, art. 13. The fact that precautionary assessment and provisional seizures, which are regulated for the protection of public receivables, can be carried out against the public debtor as temporary security measures and through an administrative process in the presence of one of the reasons listed in the relevant legal texts, has brought about various discussions in the doctrine and caused some problems in practice. Based on this framework, this study aims to examine precautionary assessment and provisional attachment in the protection of public receivables. The study attempts to find solutions to the debates and problems about these two security measures through current doctrinal opinions and judicial decisions

Ibn al-Hajib has written many works in different fields in his life of more than seventy years. He has worked on the sciences of al-fiqh, usul al-fiqh, and aruz, especially on sarf and nahw. Among his works, the ones he wrote as short-volume summaries have been more popular and paved the way for many works such as commentary (sharh), footnote (hashiat alsuwra) and investigation (tahqiq) by scholars who came after him. Ibn al-Hajib's ash-Shafia is a short-volume summary of the sarf that covers almost all the subjects written in the sarf. When examined in terms of the sarf subjects it covers, it can be divided into three sections. These sections are word structures, structural states, and exercises. In this study, the content of the work is emphasized; the concepts used, the content of the subjects, the methods of inference, the types of illet, the structure of the examples used, and the points of disagreement are emphasized. The study aims to examine the work of ash-Shafiya, which has been taught as a textbook in the Ottoman Empire and various Islamic countries since it was written, and to present it to the benefit of Arabic language researchers by introducing it
