Gambaran Self Image Pada Wanita Karir Dalam Penggunaan Media Sosial Instagram
SELF IMAGE DESCRIPTION OF CAREER WOMEN IN THE USE OF INSTAGRAM SOCIAL MEDIA ADE NORA 198110033 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT In the digital era, social media has become an important part of everyday life, especially for career women who use platforms such as Instagram to build their self-image. This study aims to understand how social media plays a role in the formation of career women's self-image and the strategies they use in building their self-image through these platforms. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three informants who are active career women in Pekanbaru City. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and verification through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results of the study show that social media, especially Instagram, plays an important role in the formation of career women's self-image. Social media is used as a means to display professional achievements, build personal branding, and expand social networks. Informants also revealed that their self-image is influenced by social interactions on digital media, external validation such as the number of "likes" and comments, and how they present themselves in cyberspace. In addition, factors such as social support, level of self-understanding, and personal branding strategies also play a role in the formation of a positive self-image. The conclusion of this study confirms that wise use of social media can help career women build a strong and positive self-image. However, there are also challenges such as social pressure and expectations that arise from consuming digital content. Therefore, it is important for career women to have a good understanding of self-image in order to optimally utilize social media without being negatively affected by social expectations
Studi Deskripstif Kesepian Pada Remaja Yang Mengalami Broken Home Di Pekanbaru
In broken home families, children often become or are made victims. This condition significantly affects their sense of loneliness and can influence the process of character and personality development. The purpose of this study is to explore the description of loneliness experienced by adolescents from broken home families in Pekanbaru. The informants in this study consist of five adolescents from broken home families in Pekanbaru, selected using purposive sampling techniques. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results indicate that all informants experience loneliness due to their parents' divorce. From the trait aspect, the informants exhibit changes in behavior and emotions. Regarding social desirability, fifth informants experience feelings of loneliness, pessimism, and tend to become introverted and reserved. However, they still express a willingness to socialize through friendships and organizational activities. From the depression aspect, the informants feel deeply disappointed and suffer from prolonged sadness. Some of them accept the situation, while others continue to suppress their emotions and have experienced suicidal thoughts
Dramaturgi Remaja Pekanbaru Di Media Sosial
Most internet users are teenagers aged 15-24 years because the age range at that time communication begins to be well established, as stated by Rudolph F. Verderber in the book communication an introduction to the function of communication there are two, namely social function and decision-making function. The term second account is actually not a standard to determine whether this account is a second account or a first account. When viewed from the language side, the first account is the first account created and the second account is an account created after the first account. This study aims to determine the dramaturgy of Instagram social media second account users among teenagers in Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type with data analysis techniques in the form of observation, observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that Pekanbaru teenagers use social media as a tool to manage their self-image through two different arenas, front stage and back stage. Using Goffman's dramaturgy theory, we see how informants show themselves in the public space (front stage) by adjusting their self-image to existing social expectations, while in the private space (back stage) they are freer to express themselves more authentically and personally. Front stage, social media functions as a space to display a more controlled self-identity, such as highlighting relationships with family and friends, sharing joy, or highlighting certain personal interests. Conversely, in the back stage, the second account becomes a private space where informants can express feelings, personal relationships, and aspects of themselves that are freer from social pressure

The development of information and communication technology supports the need for public information services through the media. As stipulated and regulated in Article 6 Chapter III Permenpan no 12 of 2007 concerning General Guidelines for Public Relations within Government Agencies, which states that "The function of Government Public Relations is as an institution spokesperson, facilitator, providing information services to the public, following up on public complaints, providing information about the policies, programs, products and services of the institution, creating a conducive and dynamic climate of internal and external relations, as well as acting as a liaison between the institution and stakeholders”. This study aims to find out how the role of Public Relations of the Pekanbaru Regional Government in forming a positive image. Social media accounts can play a role in spreading a positive image through direct interaction with its users, this is one of the strengths of social media (The Power of Social Media) that conventional information media does not have. Interaction between universities and the public can be developed without being limited by certain limitations, especially time. The method used is descriptive qualitative by collecting data from informants and processing it qualitatively. The results of the study show that the role of Public Relations of the Pekanbaru Regional Government has optimally utilized social media with the @hunaspku account in creating a positive image for the ongoing government
Pola Komunikasi Dadakan Adventure Dalam Mengelola Open Trip
Humans are social beings who cannot live alone. People need others to carry out daily life activities. Therefore, humans socialize and develop to form or join a community with the aim of blending in. Indonesia is known as a fascinating country with its extraordinary natural wealth, which is an attraction for scientists and researchers. Moreover, the beauty and uniqueness of Indonesia's nature are major attractions for ecological tourism and adventure to explore the diversity of nature. In Pekanbaru, there is a community called Dadakan Adventure, a non-profit organization established in 2021, with 1,124 followers on Instagram and 764 adventure-related posts. They organize open trips as part of their regular activities offered to community members or the general public. This research aims to investigate how the open trip management process works in Dadakan Adventure and how the communication flow operates within the Dadakan Adventure community. This study uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects who will serve as informants include the Chairperson/founder, the community managers of Dadakan Adventure, and the community members. The object of this research is the communication pattern of Dadakan Adventure in managing the open trip. The location and time of the research will be conducted in Pekanbaru from February to November 2024. The data sources are both primary and secondary. The data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The technique for validating data uses source and time triangulation. Dadakan Adventure successfully manages open trips through an effective communication pattern, covering planning, implementation, and evaluation. This complex and multidimensional communication process involves coordination between the chairperson, managers, community members, and new members. Dadakan Adventure employs two main communication flow patterns: sequential communication flow and star network patterns. Tourism village is a tourism concept that is growing rapidly in various regions in Indonesia. Dayun Tourism Village is one of the tourism destinations that has the potential to be developed. In today's digital era, social media has become one of the effective tools in promoting tourism destinations. This study aims to determine the use of social media as a promotional tool for Dayun Tourism Village. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with the AIDA theory ((Attention, Interest, Desire, Action). This study uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the use of social media by the tourism awareness group (POKDARWIS) of Dayun Tourism Village has indeed applied the AIDA theory in promotions carried out on social media. The first stage of attention is using more than one social media platform and diligently making posts. The second stage of interest is creating various types of content such as content that describes experiences, educational content, content that encompasses the Dayun integrated reservoir and content presentation. The third stage of desire (disire) is presenting influencers, routinely making posts showing what can be found in Dayun Tourism Village, and creating content elements, such as trending music and interesting captions and hashtags. The last stage of action is writing captions with call to action words, including WhatsApp numbers and good and friendly communication services
Komunikasi Intrapersonal Dalam Membangun Citra Diri Bujang Dara Provinsi Riau
Intrapersonal Communication in Building the Self-Image of Bujang Dara in Riau Province Welika Maurenza Prista 209110201 As representatives of the young generation who actively promote tourism and local culture, Bujang Dara Riau faces the challenge of balancing their selfimage as teenagers with their social responsibilities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The informants in this study were the finalists and winners of Bujang Dara Riau Province in 2022 and 202. Intrapersonal communication is a communication process that occurs within an individual, which includes sensation, perception, memory, and thinking. The results of the study show that intrapersonal communication plays an important role in the formation of Bujang and Dara's self-image. The sensation stage shows physical and emotional reactions when playing a role; the perception stage shows how they interpret differences in self-views with others; the memory stage reflects the importance of past experiences in building self-confidence; and the thinking stage describes how individuals evaluate and strategize in representing their self-image. Analisis Semiotika Nilai-nilai Budaya Melayu Pada Tari Persembahan Makan Sirih Di Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau
This research aims to understand the semiotic meaning of cultural values embedded in the tari makan sirih (betel-eating dance) in Pekanbaru, Riau province. The tari makan sirih is one of the cultural arts of the Malay Riau, which continues to develop. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, with techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation based on Roland Barthes' theory.The results of the research show that there are three periods of development: the first is the creation of the dance, the second is its use in welcoming high-ranking national guests, including the President, and the third is the change in the name of the tari makan sirih to tari persembahan makan sirih (the offering betel-eating dance). The tari makan sirih holds deep symbolic meanings, which include the movements, costumes, accessories, and the significance within the betel set (tepak sirih). This research is expected to contribute to efforts to preserve the tari makan sirih culture and increase awareness, especially among the younger generation, about the importance of maintaining the continuity of cultural heritage
Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Weverse Sebagai Media Komunikasi Antara Penggemar Dan Idol Kpop Enhypen
The development of digital technology has changed the way communication in the entertainment industry, including the interaction between fans and K-Pop idols. One of the platforms that facilitates such communication is the Weverse application, developed by HYBE Corporation. This study aims to analyze how ENHYPEN fans in Pekanbaru use the Weverse application as a medium of communication with K-Pop Idols. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the theory of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) as a reference to understand how communication occurs in the Weverse application. Determine the informant with a purposive sampling technique consisting of several criteria that have been determined by the researcher. The results of this study show that the Weverse application has an important role in building two-way communication between Idols and their fans. Features such as post posts, comments, and live streaming make fans feel close to their idols even though it takes place virtually. This research contributes to understanding digital technologies and community-based platforms that can strengthen the relationship between idols and their fans
Pengalaman Komunikasi Mahasiswa Pmm Outbound Universitas Islam Riau
The Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) provides opportunities for students to learn in a new environment with a different culture. Outbound PMM students of the Islamic University of Riau (UIR) face communication challenges, such as language differences, customs and social norms that affect their interactions. This study aims to understand the communication experience of UIR outbound PMM students in adjusting to a new environment through Alfred Schutz's phenomenological approach. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, in which data is collected through in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that students' decision to participate in the PMM program is influenced by external factors, such as the role of lecturers, inbound students, friends and social media (Because of Motive). Their goals (In Order to Motive) include improving adaptation skills, academic development, cultural exploration, and expanding social networks. Students also face various challenges, such as language barriers, food, differences in social rules and transportation. However, these experiences have a positive impact in the form of communication skills, openness of mindset, and higher social awareness
