No full textThis research method uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach that aims to obtain a descriptive result regarding the symptoms being observed. This program is a program derived from the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia in providing legal education to students in order to increase legal awareness from an early age. The data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis used in this study uses three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The subjects of this study are 5 resource persons who are directly related and have credibility in the implementation of the work program of the Prosecutor for School Entry, namely the Head of the Intelligence Section, the Head of Subdivision A for Intelligence, the Principal of Junior High School 1 Bengkalis, the Chairman of the Student Council of Junior High School 1 Bengkalis, and the Junior High School 1 Bantan Students. The results of this study show that the role of the prosecutor's office, especially in the field of Intelligence, in providing legal counseling is a social role as a preventive effort and is considered very effective, especially through the School Entrance Prosecutor (JMS) program which targets students who are considered to be still in the growth period

No full textIn the jurisdiction of Polsek Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan, criminal cases can still be found and one of them is the case of motorbike theft. Based on 2019 to 2023, motorbike theft cases have increased and decreased, indicating that criminal cases of motorbike theft still occur frequently. Therefore, it is necessary to know the causal factors, the modus operandi used by the perpetrators in carrying out their actions and the need for efforts to cover the criminal act of motorbike theft in the Melawan area by Posek Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan. The main problem in this research is what are the factors that cause motorbike theft in the jurisdiction of Posek Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan, what is the modus operandi used by the perpetrator in committing motorbike theft in the jurisdiction of Posek Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan, and what are the efforts to deal with criminal acts? motorbike theft in the jurisdiction of Posek Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan. The research carried out is an empirical legal research method using field observation, namely by surveying directly into the field to collect primary data and secondary data obtained from respondents through interviews to be used as data or information as writing material in this research. Based on the research results, it can be seen that the factors behind the perpetrator committing the crime of motorbike theft in the jurisdiction of Posek Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan were economic factors, narcotics addiction factors and online gambling addiction factors. Meanwhile, the modus operandi used by the perpetrator in stealing the motorbike was to use a T key and a fake key (imitation key) which was done after monitoring the environment where the perpetrator was acting or when the victim forgot to remove the motorbike key. The efforts to overcome criminal acts of theft carried out by Posek Tanah Putih Tanjung Melawan are pre-emptive efforts, preventive efforts and repressive efforts

So this study aims to determine how interpersonal communication of single mothers in forming adolescent independence in Bukit Payung Village. Interpersonal communication is the most essential thing in human relationships, especially in families. Interpersonal communication can change opinions, behaviors, views and also attitudes of individuals. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method, with the research subjects being single mothers and their teenage children. In determining informants, the researcher used the purposive sumption technique. The results of this study indicate that interpersonal communication between single mothers and teenagers in Bukit Payung Village plays an important role in forming independence. Through open communication, single mothers are able to instill values of independence in their children. The communication process applied not only includes giving advice or direction, but also involves open communication that builds trust and emotional closeness

No full textThe differences between the language systems of Bahasa Indonesia and English result in significant confusion when students attempt to use prepositions of place. An initial investigation with the English teacher of tenth-grade students at SMA Laksamana Negeri revealed that the students lacked proficiency in grammatical matters, particularly regarding prepositions of place. The research objectives are to identify the types of errors in the use of prepositions in descriptive texts made by tenth-grade students at SMA Laksamana Negeri and to determine the most frequent type of errors in the use of prepositions in descriptive texts made by tenth-grade students at SMA Laksamana Negeri. The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative study design to examine the mistakes students made when using place-specific prepositions in descriptive texts. The research was conducted at SMA Laksamana Negeri located in Desa Pasir Emas, Kecamatan Batang Tuaka, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, Riau. The population of the research consisted of tenth-grade students at SMA Laksamana Negeri, and the sample comprised 15 students from Class A. Upon completion of the research, the researcher drew several conclusions based on the texts produced by tenth-grade students, specifically regarding their errors in using prepositions of place. Corder's errors in descriptive writing involving prepositions of place included: (1) omission of prepositions (8.98%), (2) addition of prepositions (29.59%), and (3) misformation of incorrect prepositions (61.53%), all of which were found in the writing samples from tenth-grade students at SMA Laksamana Negeri. The most common error type observed was the addition of incorrect prepositions (61.53% of all errors) in sentences related to prepositions of place
An Analysis Of Students' Interests In Reading English Journal Articles
No full textthis research was to determine the level of reading interest and the factors that influence students’reading interest at the sixth semester English Language Education in FKIP Universitas Islam Riau in reading English journal articles. The research used qualitative approach by using descriptive qualitative. Data were obtained through questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire was to determine the level of students’ reading interest in English journal articles, interview was to obtain more in-depth information related to students’ reading English journal articles. This research use the purposive sampling. In this study, researcher focus on one class is 6B, overall students in class 6B are 34 people. Researcher will give questionnaires to 34 students at the sixth semester, English Language Education, FKIP-UIR. Next, five students will be taken as informants for in-depth interviews. From the results of the research, researcher found the level based on an analysis 5 indicators with 23 statement of interest in reading English journal articles for students at the sixth semester English Language Education, FKIP-UIR on average was at very high level with the following details: Attention (94%) students got “Very High” category, Use of time (85%) students got “Very High” category, Motivation to read (95%) students got “Very High” category, Emotion in reading (84%) students got “Very High” category, and Effort to use (82%) students got “Very High” category. Meanwhile, the result of researh through interview found more in-depth information about the factors that influence students’ reading interest, namely as follow : Lectures reading material, Willingness to Read, Encouragement to Read, Reading Habit, Benefits for Language Skills. Students stated that reading English journal articles could improve English language skills such as grammar, increase vocabulary, broaden knowledge, be able to think critically, and be able to understand the contents of scientific readings using academic language whose vocabulary was sometimes difficult to understand. Therefore, it is these factors that influence the high reading interest of class 6B students at the sixth semester English Language Education, FKIP-UIR, so that students are still getting used to reading journal articles in English

This was obtained from the test results shown by the teacher, out of 32 students in class in the linguistic aspect, namely command verbs. Therefore, the researcher wants to prove and find out whether the ability to write procedural texts of class XI IPA 2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tambusai Utara is still categorized as low. The purpose of this study is to prove and find out the ability to write procedural texts of class XI IPA 2 students during classroom learning. The formulation of the problem in this study is: (1). How is the ability to write procedural texts of class XI IPA 2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tambusai Utara, Rokan Hulu Regency in the 2022/2023 academic year based on text structure?, and (2). How is the ability to write procedural texts of class XI IPA 2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tambusai Utara, Rokan Hulu Regency in the 2022/2023 academic year based on the language of the text? This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, because the ability to write procedural texts of class XI IPA 2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tambusai Utara is in the form of data related to numbers. The data collection technique used by the researcher is the observation and test technique. The population was 242 students and the sample taken using the purposive sampling technique was class XI IPA 2 as many as 32 students. The results of the study showed that the ability to write procedural texts of class XI IPA 2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tambusai Utara in the structural aspect was categorized as sufficient by getting an average score of 67 in the category of Sufficient (C) and in the linguistic aspect getting an average score of 91.25 in the category of Very Good (A). students have difficulty writing texts in the structural aspect in writing objectives and the linguistic aspect in writing conjunctions

No full textAnalysis of language errors at the syntactic level is a branch of linguistics regarding the structure of sentase of sentences and their parts that discusses the ins and outs of discourse, clauses and phrases. The problem in this research is what are the language errors at the syntactic level of sentences in the haluanriau.co? the aim of this research is to find out and describe language errors at the syntactic level in the haluanriau.co. the approach in this research is a qualitative approarch. The data in this research are sentances identified as having sentence field errors. The data collection techniques used are: documentation techniques, note taking techniques and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is content analysis according to Philipp Mayring. Based on the results of this research, it was concluded that there werw 70 data errors. Language errors at the syntactic level in sentence area have 12 errors, but the outhor only found 6 errors because namely 1) sentences without a subject and without a predicate (buntung sentences) have 27 error data. 2) the use if foreign terms is 21 error data. 3) the use of question words is 10 error data 4) sentences without subjects with 6 errors 5) excessive use of conjunctions with 4 data 6) between the predicate and object 2 data are inserted
An Analysis Of Speech Style Used By Oprah Winfrey In Super Soul Sunday Show
No full textThis study examines the types of speech styles used by Oprah Winfrey in "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and explores the factors influencing her choice of these styles. The research aims to classify Winfrey's speech styles according to Chaika’s (1982) framework—formal, informal, serious, ironic, and humor—and understand the underlying reasons for her style choices. The study addresses two key questions: (1) What kind of speech styles did the host employ on 'Super Soul Sunday' during interactions with guests? (2) What factors triggered the host to use certain types of speech styles on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday show? Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology, the research analyzes selected episodes of the show, focusing specifically on Winfrey’s utterances. The study uses transcriptions of these episodes to identify and categorize the speech styles, utilizing Chaika’s (1982) classifications. Holmes’s (2001) theory is applied to investigate the factors influencing these choices, including age, social background, speech convergence, and speech divergence. The findings reveal that Winfrey’s speech styles include formal, informal, serious, ironic, and humor, with a total of 66 utterances categorized into these types. The serious style was the most prevalent, with 43 serious style, reflecting its use to emphasize significant topics and enhance the gravity of discussions. Informal style appeared in 15 utterances, formal style in 5, ironic style in 2, humor in 1, and 4 combinations of serious-informal and formal-serious style. Additionally, the research identifies four main factors influencing speech style: the participant's age, social background, speech convergence, and speech divergence. This research offers a nuanced understanding of speech styles and their impact on effective communication in diverse contexts

No full textThe development of electronic comic learning media is included in research and development (R&D). This study aims to produce learning media in the form of electronic comics on valid and good biological technology innovation material. This development research uses the 4D development model which has 4 (four) stages, namely, the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the distribution stage. The data collection instruments used were validity sheets, interview sheets, and validated practicality questionnaires. The sampling technique used in the study was simple random sampling. Data collection was carried out using validity sheets and questionnaires. The results of validation by media expert validators show that the learning media developed get an average percentage of 90% (very valid). The results of the material expert validator get an average percentage of 100% (very valid). The results of validation by learning expert validators get an average percentage of 96.87% (very valid). The results of practicality by students in using electronic comics show that the electronic comics developed get an average percentage of 86.24% (very good). The conclusion is that the electronic comic learning media on the material of biological technological innovation gets a percentage of the validity percentage of 96,55% in the very valid category and a percentage of 86,24% in the good category
