Consumer protection is an effort to ensure legal certainty in protecting consumer rights. Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection aims to establish a protection system that guarantees legal certainty, openness, and access to correct information. The law also explains the definition of a consumer, namely "every person who uses goods and/or services who is willing in society, either for the benefit of themselves, their families, other people, or other living things and not for trading". The formulation of the problem in this thesis research is: first, what is the form of legal protection for consumers who suffer losses due to goods that are not in accordance with the clothing sale and purchase agreement through the Facebook application, second, what are the obstacles in obtaining legal protection for consumers in clothing sale and purchase agreements through the Facebook application in Kubu District. This study focuses on the form of legal protection for consumers who experience losses due to the purchase of clothing through the Facebook application in Kubu District, as well as the obstacles faced in obtaining such legal protection. This study uses an empirical approach with a data collection method by distributing questionnaires to consumers who make online clothing transactions in the area. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of consumer protection has not been running effectively as regulated in the laws and regulations. Consumers stated that they did not receive adequate legal protection because business actors often did not take responsibility for the losses incurred. The obstacles in the implementation of this legal protection are the occurrence of default by business actors, business actors do not have good intentions to compensate consumers for losses, low consumer knowledge, consumers who are less concerned, and finally the long return application process

The family is the primary environment for adolescent psychological development. Disharmony, such as divorce, can create a broken home environment that negatively impacts children's emotions, one of which is loneliness. Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded 447,743 divorce cases in Indonesia in 2024, the majority of which were caused by constant fighting. This figure indicates an increasing number of children at risk of experiencing psychological disorders due to divorce. This study aims to describe the experiences of loneliness among adolescents from broken homes, including the causes, forms of experience, psychological impacts, and coping strategies. The research approach was qualitative with descriptive methods. Three informants were selected purposively based on the criteria of adolescents from broken homes. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and non-participant observation, then analyzed through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions using triangulation. The results showed that all informants experienced loneliness since their parents' divorce, characterized by negative emotions such as sadness, anger, disappointment, and feelings of abandonment. Impacts ranged from withdrawal to juvenile delinquency. Coping strategies included finding activities, socializing, and gradually accepting the situation. The study concluded that loneliness in adolescents from broken homes is related to a lack of emotional support from the family. Psychological intervention and ongoing social support are needed so that adolescents can adapt positively

This study aims to analyze the role of fathers in the lives of adolescents in Pekanbaru City. Adolescence is a complex developmental stage characterized by identity exploration and an increased need for role models and emotional support. In this context, the father's role is highly significant—not only as a provider but also as an educator, protector, and role model within the family. Fathers who are actively involved can contribute to the development of strong character and provide emotional security for adolescents. This research employed a quantitative method involving 206 high school students from SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The sampling technique used was Proportional Random Sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 45 items covering six dimensions of the father’s role: as a leader, economic provider, protector, educator, playmate, and friend. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a one-way ANOVA to examine differences in the father's role based on demographic factors. The results showed that the father's role was categorized as moderate (35.9%). When viewed from the gender of the respondents, a significant difference was found (p = 0.028 < 0.05) between male and female students in their perception of their father’s role. However, no significant differences were found based on grade level, age, father's education level, occupation, income, or living arrangement. These findings indicate that father involvement in adolescents’ lives still needs to be improved, particularly in emotional engagement and communication. This study provides insight into the importance of a father's presence and active participation in supporting adolescent development, especially in character formation based on Islamic values

The police force is a state institution that plays a crucial role in maintaining public security and order, enforcing the law, and protecting, guiding, and serving the community. Within the police work environment, officers are frequently confronted with various high-pressure situations, such as heavy workloads, safety risks, and significant social responsibilities. These conditions can trigger work-related stress which, if not properly managed, may negatively impact both job performance and the psychological well-being of personnel. One of the factors believed to contribute to levels of work stress is emotional intelligence, which refers to an individual's ability to recognize, understand, manage, and express emotions effectively—both their own and those of others. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The population consisted of all police officers at the Riau Regional Police (Polda Riau), with a sample of 347 individuals selected using random sampling techniques. The research instruments used were an emotional intelligence scale and a work stress scale, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. The data obtained were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test due to the non-normal distribution of the data. The results showed a significant influence of emotional intelligence on work stress, with a Z value of -22.678 and a significance level of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate a significant difference in the level of work stress between officers with high and low emotional intelligence. This confirms that emotional intelligence plays an important role in helping police officers manage job-related pressures and maintain psychological stability while performing their duties

Adolescents from single-parent families often face various emotional pressures that can affect their ability to regulate emotions adaptively. Mindfulness, defined as the ability to be consciously present in the moment without judgment, is believed to enhance emotional regulation. This study aims to examine the influence of mindfulness on emotion regulation among adolescents from single-parent families. This research employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 adolescents aged 13–17 years, raised by single parents in the city of Pekanbaru, selected through a snowball sampling technique. The instruments used were a mindfulness scale based on the theory of Ruth A. Baer (2006) and an emotion regulation scale based on the theory of Gross and John (2003). Data analysis using simple linear regression showed that mindfulness significantly influenced emotion regulation (R² = 0.420; p < 0.05), indicating that 42% of the variance in mindfulness is explained by emotion regulation. These findings suggest that the higher the level of mindfulness an adolescent possesses, the better their ability to regulate emotions

The issue is crucial, as the protection of voting rights is a key element in upholding democratic integrity. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving informants from Panwascam, village-level election supervisors (PKD), and local residents. The findings reveal that Panwascam Kulim implemented three main forms of communication: direct communication (through outreach and face-to-face dialogues), utilization of social media, and external collaboration with community leaders and relevant institutions. These forms collectively represent a circular communication pattern, characterized by two-way interaction and feedback between communicators and communicants. This pattern is particularly effectve in direct and external communication, although challenges remain in optimizing social media as a participatory communication platform. The findings highlight the importance of adaptive and participatory communication strategies in ensuring effective electoral oversight at the district level
