    Most of the tutoring institutions in Banjarmasin City are less interactive and less interesting from an architectural perspective. This impacted on the decrease in atmosphere and quality of learning, as well as interest in learning. The atmosphere and quality of learning in tutoring institutions can be improved through architectural design with interactive design concepts and contemporary architectural method approaches. The interactive design concept focuses on the shape of the space and location of the tutoring to build a learning atmosphere that is interactive and psychologically interesting. The tutoring institution design uses contemporary architectural approach in order to optimize the interactive design concept.Kebanyakan bimbingan belajar yang ada di Kota Banjarmasin kurang interaktif dan kurang menarik dari segi arsitektur. Bimbingan belajar yang kurang interaktif dan kurang menarik berdampak pada menurunnya suasana dan kualitas belajar serta minat untuk belajar. Suasana dan kualitas belajar pada bimbingan belajar dapat ditingkatkan melalui desain arsitektur dengan konsep interaktif desain dan pendekatan metode arsitektur kontemporer.     The tourism sector has an important role in building the economy of a region. After the pandemic ended, tourism in Indonesia began to increase due to the acceleration of government performance in an effort to increase development and promotion in the tourism sector. The North Barito Regency Disbudparpora Office is a government agency facility that handles affairs in the culture, tourism, youth and sports sectors in the North Barito district. The Disbudparpora of North Barito Regency has the responsibility of accelerating performance in the form of development and promotion in the culture, tourism, youth and sports sectors to the community. The use of neo vernacular architecture concept is expected to be able to get a functional design solution as a workplace while accommodating development and promotion activities with modern building visuals but still applying elements of tradition and local architecture of the North Barito district.Sektor pariwisata memiliki peran penting dalam membangun perekonomian suatu daerah. Setelah masa pandemi berakhir, kepariwisataan di Indonesia mulai mengalami peningkatan atas akselerasi kinerja pemerintah dalam upaya meningkatkan pengembangan serta promosi di sektor pariwisata.     Various regions in Indonesia have various types of creative economic activities, one of which is the City of Banjarbaru. Banjarbaru has a leading economic sector, namely the craft sub-sector, which consists of embroidery sasirangan and woven purun. However, the development of the craft sector in Banjarbaru has not been matched by adequate facilities. The Handicraft Center in Banjarbaru is a public open space facility that is used to develop and introduce the potential of crafts, especially in the embroidery sasirangan and woven purun to the wider community. The Handicraft Center is designed with the aim of accommodating selected craft activities and attracting the interest of the general public through an approach to the built natural environment that is friendly to the users of the space as well as to the environment. To optimize the environmentally friendly context, the biophilic method is applied with the concept of natural nuances that are adapted to the activities, conditions and needs that exist at the craft center.Berbagai daerah di Indonesia memiliki berbagai jenis kegiatan ekonomi kreatif salah satunya adalah Kota Banjarbaru. Banjarbaru memiliki sektor ekonomi unggulan yaitu subsektor kriya, yang terdiri atas sasirangan bordir dan anyaman purun. Namun, perkembangan sektor kriya di Banjarbaru belum diimbangi dengan fasilitas yang memadai. Pusat Kerajinan Kriya di Banjarbaru merupakan fasilitas ruang terbuka publik yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan dan memperkenalkan potensi kriya terutama pada sektor sasirangan bordir dan anyaman purun kepada masyarakat luas. Pusat Kerajinan Kriya dirancang dengan tujuan mewadahi kegiatan kriya terpilih dan menarik minat masyarakat umum melalui pendekatan kelingkungan alam binaan yang ramah bagi pengguna ruangnya maupun untuk lingkungan.     Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) aktifitas-aktifitas peserta didik diluar jam sekolah; (2) tingkat aktifitas fisik peserta didik diluar jam sekolah; (3) gambaran tentang aktifitas peserta didik diluar jam sekolah; (4) minat peserta didik dalam prestasi hasil dari kegiatan aktifitas untuk mengisi waktu diluar jam sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskiptif kuantitatif dengan metode survey menggunakan ex-post facto. Sample dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 7 dan 8 Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara yang berjumlah 23 sekolah sebanyak 881 peserta didik dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat ditarik kesimpulan: bahwa tingkat aktifitas fisik pada kategori tinggi. Dengan jenis kegiatan yang dilakukan peserta didik yaitu; 1) kegiatan relaksasi yang paling tinggi yaitu membersihkan rumah dan menonton Tik tok, 2) kegiatan hiburan yang paling tinggi yaitu bermain game Mobile legend dan Bersepeda, 3) kegiatan pengembangan diri yang paling tinggi yaitu mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga dan kesenian. Berdasarkan minatnya peserta didik ingin berprestasi dibidang olahraga yaitu pada bulutangkis dan sepak bola/futsal, untuk dibidang kesenian yaitu pada menyanyi dan memainkan alat musik

    The purpose of the Sasirangan Gallery design in Banjarmasin is to serve as an educational medium for local culture and a reminder for the local community, especially future generations, so that the Sasirangan fabric tradition is preserved. Sasirangan fabric, which has various motifs and is derived from South Kalimantan's signature knitting process, has become an important part of the industry in Banjarmasin. However, interest in this fabric varies with the times and trends, so preservation and promotion efforts are needed. The architectural problem that arises is how to design a Sasirangan Gallery that can be a modern promotional platform. The proposed solution is the use of the "Sequence" concept to harmonize the flow of space with the process of making Sasirangan fabric, making it easier for visitors to understand the process. The "problem seeking" architectural method is used to solve this problem, through the stages of problem identification, analysis, space identification, ideas, and solutions. The result of the application of this method is expected to create an effective visitor experience and support the educational goals and cultural preservation of Sasirangan fabric.Tujuan dari rancangan Galeri Sasirangan di Banjarmasin adalah untuk menjadi media edukasi budaya lokal dan pengingat bagi masyarakat setempat, khususnya generasi mendatang, agar tradisi kain Sasirangan tetap lestari. Kain Sasirangan, yang memiliki berbagai motif dan berasal dari proses rajut khas Kalimantan Selatan, telah menjadi bagian penting dari industri di Banjarmasin. Namun, minat terhadap kain ini bervariasi seiring perkembangan zaman dan tren, sehingga upaya pelestarian dan promosi diperlukan. Permasalahan arsitektural yang muncul adalah bagaimana merancang Galeri Sasirangan yang dapat menjadi wadah promosi modern. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah penggunaan konsep "Sequence" untuk menyelaraskan alur ruang dengan proses pembuatan kain Sasirangan, memudahkan pengunjung memahami proses tersebut. Metode arsitektural "problem seeking" digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini, melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, analisis, identifikasi ruang, ide, dan solusi.     Studi ini menyajikan tinjauan literatur mengenai efektivitas Moodle sebagai platform pembelajaran daring khususnya pembelajaran kimia di Indonesia, dengan tujuan mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap minat, motivasi, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis literatur dari berbagai sumber yang relevan untuk mengidentifikasi fitur-fitur utama Moodle, seperti User Management dan Course Management, serta bagaimana fitur-fitur ini mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran yang interaktif. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya kebutuhan akan platform pembelajaran daring yang efektif di tengah pandemi, yang memaksa proses belajar mengajar dilakukan dari rumah. Manfaat dari penggunaan Moodle termasuk peningkatan kualitas belajar, fleksibilitas akses, dan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan kursus. Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa penerapan Moodle dalam pembelajaran kimia dapat meningkatkan pemahaman materi melalui fitur "Courses" yang disesuaikan dan E-modul interaktif. Namun, tantangan seperti kompleksitas penggunaan, masalah koneksi internet, dan kebutuhan akan penjelasan ulang dari pendidik perlu mendapat perhatian lebih lanjut untuk memaksimalkan efektivitas platform ini

    A CONTENT ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH TEXTBOOK BAHASA INGGRIS SMA/MA/SMK/MAK KELAS X

    Textbook is an important component in teaching learning process. A good textbook helps to achieve purpose of learning. There are some criteria for being a good textbook. The writer decided to use ten criteria of a good textbook from Greene and Petty (1971). The writer interested to analyze a textbook entitled “BahasaInggris SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X”. The research used content analysis method. The object was an English textbook entitled “BahasaInggris SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X”. Writer used herself, rubric assessment, and documentation as instrument. In analyzing data, writer used descriptive explanation then interpreted it into numerical percentage form. The result showed 60% materials in a textbook “BahasaInggris SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X” fulfilled rubric assessment for ten criteria by Greene and Petty (1971). Based on research’s result, the writer categorized textbook “Bahasa Indonesia SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X” as “fair” because this textbook is lack of clear written content. In conclusion of research, the content of textbook was suitable to be used in teaching learning process. However, to overcome the deficiencies of textbook in aspect of clear written content, teachers have to find additional material from other books or any other sources. The material especially explanation and examples are needed in order to help students and teachers to fulfill the purpose of learning material

    UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ METHODOLOGY IN TRANSLATING ENGLISH ANALYTICAL TEXT INTO INDONESIAN

    This study is carried out for figuring the translation method which is commonly utilized by the English Language Education Study Program (ELESP) students of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Banjarmasin Batch 2017 within translation course. By implementing descriptive qualitative study, the analyst attempted for identifying the phenomenon within the real field. The chosen study subjects are 6 ELESP students that were elected from all ELESP students of batch 2017 in ULM. A specially designed test was distributed as well as conducted for acquiring pivotal data. There are five translation methods employed by the 6 study subjects, who are also English for Young Learners (EYL) students of A1 Class. The study was resulted on discoveries which consisted of data description which covering the translation methods identification along with classification implemented by the study subjects on the translation task completion. After the vital data was acquired, the data is described based on the translation methods classification. Based upon the acquired data, the utilized methods are word-for-word, literal, faithful, adaptation, along with communicative translation. The occurred translation methods were based upon the Newmark’s V Diagram method

    IMPLEMENTATION OF SELF-REGULATED LEARNING IN AN ADVANCED WRITING COURSE

    Language learning strategy is commonly used in learning a second language and foreign language. It is intended to help develop students while learning a second language and foreign language. Self-regulated learning is one strategy that has been more controlled by the students to be developed because they can plan, monitor, and evaluate their learning by themselves. This research aims to determine how students' English language education programs implement self-regulated learning in an advanced writing course. A descriptive qualitative method was used in this research within interview and documentation as the instrument of the study. In this research, the data source was the fourth-semester students in English language education study program at Lambung Mangkurat University. The findings show that the students implemented a self-regulated learning strategy in their writing: seven students did self-evaluation, twelve students organized and transformed, eight students set a goal and plan, fourteen students sought information, thirteen students kept records and monitor, twelve students structured their environment, three students did self-consequences, thirteen students rehearsed and memorized, ten students sought assistance from peers, teachers, adults, and fourteen students reviewed note, and text and multimedia/internet. It can be concluded that students implemented many strategies which used self-regulated learning strategy in writing: self-evaluation, organizing and transforming such as organizing ideas, and information, goal-setting and planning such as preparing the concepts, data, vocabulary, making a schedule, and prioritizing the list to do the tasks, seeking information, keeping record and monitor, environmental structurings such as setting a quiet and clean place and in a specific time like in the morning and night, self consequences such as buying gifts, hanging out with their friend and giving time to take a rest, rehearsing and memorizing, seek assistance from peers, teachers, adults and review note, text and multimedia/internet

    Kawasan mangrove di Desa iPagatan Besar iadalah isalah satu wilayah persebaran mangrove yang ada di iKalimantan Selatan dengan luas kawasan mangrove sekitar 10,69 hektare. Kawasan imangrove merupakan ilingkungan iyang isangat ikaya akan nutrisi yang imenjadi sumber ipertumbuhan plankton. iEkosistem imangrove imerupakan iekosistem ikompleks iyang iterdiri iatas iflora idan fauna idaerah ipantai. iRusaknya imangrove idapat imenyebabkan ihilangnya ihabitat iplankton iyang akan iberdampak ipada iterganggunya isiklus ihidup idalam iekosistem. iPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk imengetahui bagaimana istruktur ikomunitas plankton iyang ada idi kawasan mangrove. Terdapat 17 spesies fitoplankton yang ditemukan dan 5 jenis zooplankton. Fitoplankton yang ditemukan didominasi oleh Gonatozygon sp sedangkan untuk zooplankton didominasi oleh Dileptus sp. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, kelimpahan plankton yang ditemukan berkisar antara 686 sel/l – 2198 sel/l sedangkan indeks keanekaragaman berkisar antara 1,53-2,08. iDapat idisimpulkan ibahwa ikeanekaragaman ispesies iplankton ipada ikawasan imangrove Desa Pagatan Besar idalam ikategori sedang
