The background of the research is based on the author's concern about the rise of apostasy cases that occur in Indonesian society, especially those that occur among public figures in the country. As happened with Lukman Sardi, Asmirandah and others. There has been a pro-contra against this phenomenon, ranging from the phobia of Islam (secular), liberal Islamic groups, radical Islamic groups (Wahhabis), and moderate modernist groups. The crucial point that has become a debate about apostasy is the application of the death law to apostates, which is regulated legally in Islamic law, so that affiliates who reject the total law arise with the pretext of human rights, and groups that defend the law with arguments undeniable. then the writer looks for the midpoint that answers and becomes the solution to this hot issue, by reviewing some classical references (turats), so that a meeting point can be found that can be agreed by both parties. To find the right formula in answering this phenomenon the author uses the Library Research method (library research) by using primary data and secondary data. Data analysis was obtained through library research which was analyzed qualitatively. From this study found answers relevant to apostasy and their consequences in contemporary Islamic law. There are two opinions that seem opposite and contradictory, between the opinions of classical and contemporary scholars. The side of difference is in the legality of beheading for apostates. One group considers it legal with valid arguments while the other group considers it not. Nevertheless there are points of equality in several criteria that justify the execution

Female circumcision is a practice based on tradition carried out by most people in Indonesia. Historically, female circumcision existed long before the presence of Islam since the days of ancient Egypt which inherited the traditions of the wives of the Prophet Ibrahim> hi> m As., They believed it to be part of the ritual of purification of the soul. This tradition then spread to various regions in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia such as India, Malaysia and Indonesia. Medical science observes that female circumcision does not provide benefits to women, but instead causes damage to the tissues of female organs which threatens reproductive fertility and decreases the level of aggression of women. On that basis, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has issued a regulation prohibiting female circumcision and is only allowed to do so symbolically. The rule was later revoked because of reaping protests from elements of the muslin community who considered it a command of the Shari'a. This paper analyzes female circumcision in the perspective of history, medical and Islamic law in order to find the truth on the assumption that female circumcision is part of the command of Shari'a. The results of this study state that female circumcision is not at all included in the commandments of the Shari'a, but as a tradition passed down through the lives of Muslim communities

Integralization of science seeks to harmonize religious values with scientific inventions and dialogue between revelation and reason. The characteristic that is brought about in this concept is that science is not released from the existence of God so that science is used as a field in getting closer to God and scientific discoveries lead to appreciation of the existence of the Supreme God. The effort to integralize this knowledge is the responsibility of Islamic educational institutions by removing dichotomous barriers. And one of the things that can be done in a concrete form is the effort to convert Islamic educational institutions from one form to another, namely one of them is the conversion of IAIN to UIN

Islam indeed teaches truth and values that are eternal and universal. However, the implementation and elaboration have the capacity to accommodate and accommodate the various interests of the people who continue to develop in accordance with the pace of civilization. Contextualization of Islamic teachings is actually not a new problem in the history of Islamic legal thought. The Companions of the Prophet especially Umar Ibn Al-Khaththab gave a concrete example of the need to understand the teachings of Islam in a contextual and essential way. Likewise, the difference of opinion among the mujtahid imams is a picture that the times, situations and conditions contributed a lot in determining various provisions of Islamic law. Even with the asbab al-nuzul theory, Nashik-mansukh and asbab al-wurud means al-Qur'an and hadith itself have considered a state of society in which the teachings will be enforced. Muslims (mujtahids) must not be confined by the literal textual provisions and understanding of the text. Contextual or even situational approach by prioritizing the essence and spirit of the soul of the Qur'an and hadith and based on the belief that the literal-textual provisions have flexibility and flexibility, then Islamic law will always be able to answer various problems that arise. In Islamic law there are 2 characteristics that have two key terms, namely: Sharia and Jurisprudence. Sharia consists of the revelations of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad and fiqh is the understanding of the results of human understanding from the source of shari'ah. Shar'ah is "al-Nushush al-muqaddasah" (the same Islamic teachings as long as it is not interfered with by human reasoning power) in the Qur'an and al-Sunnah Muthathanah. The fiqh is understanding or what is understood from 'al-nushush al-muqaddasah'. Sharia is stable (tsabat), while fiqh is dynamic (tathawwur)
