Patrimonio architettonico e turismo lento: politiche di riuso lungo un cammino storico / Architectural Heritage and Slow Tourism: Re-Use Policies Along a Historical Route

    No full text
The article proposes a reflection on slow tourism as a lever for the regeneration and conservation of the architectural and cultural heritage to reuse what already exists in the territory. The article develops this proposal through the analysis of one of the main European examples of slow tourism: the Way of St. James in Spain. The case represents a unique experience in which tourism development, which started in the early 1990s, was accompanied by a regeneration of the architectural and cultural heritage along the route. The strategies, tools and outcomes of the intense process of recovery of the disused heritage along the Way are thus shown. From the analysis it is possible to identify a series of guidelines for processes of regeneration and conservation of the heritage along lines of slow tourism, useful also for actions recently promoted in the Italian context.L’articolo propone una riflessione sul turismo lento come leva per la rigenerazione e la conservazione del patrimonio architettonico e culturale in un’ottica di riuso sapiente di quanto è già esistente nel territorio. New Insights on Flemish Painted Canvas and Their Diffusion in the Italian Area between 15th and 16th Century

Between 15th and 16th centuries, Netherlandish artists used canvas for the production of light objects, easily to be stored, sometimes low-cost substitutes for panels and tapestries. These works, defined as ‘panni dipinti’, are generally presented as glue tempera on linen canvas or as a woodcut and could be made very quickly, proving to be absolutely suitable if the art commission had to be carried out swiftly. This made them perfect for the export; in particular, Diane Wolfthal highlighted that about a quarter of the surviving Netherlandish canvas comes from Italy, a proportion that increases for the works performed by well-known masters such as Dieric Bouts, Hugo van der Goes, Justus van Gent and Gérard David. However, the lack of attention to this kind of artefact has created confusion in literature: hence the need to undertake in this essay a research path aimed at defining the production of canvas paintings, overcoming some critical issues, through a reconsideration of the existing literature and of the lexicon used by the sources. Between 15th and 16th centuries, Netherlandish artists used canvas for the production of light objects, easily to be stored, sometimes low-cost substitutes for panels and tapestries. Le lampeggianti campane della libertà. L’americanismo giacobino di Luigi Angeloni

During the Revolutionary Triennium the debate concerning the most suitable form of government to be preferred for the Italian nation unfolded in a very articulated fashion. If strong was the party of those who favored an unitarian solution, equally vocal were those who considered a federalist system the only capable to deal with the social fragmentation characterizing the peninsula. Luigi Angeloni (1759-1836), a Jacobin who had taken part in the events of the Repubblica Romana, cultivated a great interest in the development of the American political experience. From his exile in Paris, in the aftermath of the fall of Napoleon Angeloni published the pamphlet Sopra l’ordinamento che aver dovrebbono i governi d’Italia where he pointed out how American federalism was the institutional mechanism to be pursued in order to achieve a veritable independence for Italy. In his following work Dell’Italia uscente il settembre del 1818 Angeloni, deeply disappointed by the decisions taken in Vienna, renewed his appeal for the adoption of a federal system, in his view the only capable to guarantee unity and to avoid the danger of foreign interferences in the country. After moving to London in 1823, Angeloni expanded his political analysis of the Italian situation in a two-volume work Della forza nelle cose politiche upholding his preference for a democracy based on popular sovereignty – «reggersi uno stato a popolo» – and his admiration for «il libero e bel governo degli Stati Uniti Americani» and for the federalist doctrine.

Intelligenza artificiale generativa e fonti storico-educative: prospettive metodologiche

    No full text
The paper examines the methodological potential of generative artificial intelligence in historical-educational research, addressing a subject that has so far remained unexplored. After outlining the functioning of Large Language Models (LLM) and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, it analyses their most promising applications, including the automatic transcription of manuscripts, the translation of texts in ancient languages, and the processing of extensive documentary corpora. Through case studies, the research demonstrates how RAG architectures can effectively overcome the limitations of LLMs in analysing large collections of historical sources. Finally, a structured methodological framework is proposed to integrate these technologies into historical-educational research, establishing an operational protocol for documentary analysis. The paper examines the methodological potential of generative artificial intelligence in historical-educational research, addressing a subject that has so far remained unexplored. Fascismo e nazionalismo tra divergenze teoriche e scontri fisici

    Get PDF
Fascism does not constitute a monolith but an aggregation of even conflicting forces which, held together by Mussolini’s mediating ability, contribute to determining a political direction that is not always linear. In this variegated galaxy a central role is assumed by the Ani whose link with fascism is equivocal. Beyond the known affinities, the divergences are clear. The essay aims to reconstruct between ’19 and ’23, through the use of primary and secondary sources, the ambiguity of a relationship in which the contrasts rapidly degenerate from the doctrinal level to that of armed confrontation.Fascism does not constitute a monolith but an aggregation of even conflicting forces which, held together by Mussolini’s mediating ability, contribute to determining a political direction that is not always linear.

    No full text
Abstract in English The article describes the missionary work carried out in the mid-16th century by Father Francesco da Monteprandone, a Friar Minor Observant. The Franciscan friar from the Marche was one of the pioneers of the evangelization of Sri Lanka and, curiously, was the only Italian among the missionaries, the rest of whom were all Portuguese. He is remembered in the chronicles for having baptized the king of one of the kingdoms into which the island was divided. The second part of the article focuses on the possibility that an ancient crucifix, preserved in the museum of the Franciscan convent of Monteprandone, may have belonged to Francesco da Monteprandone.
