Exploring the importance of innovation ambidexterity on performance: insights from NCA and IPMA analysis
However, the organizational mechanisms that compete for innovation and organizational performance are not sufficiently studied. Thus, this study aims to analyze the influence of market orientation and organizational structure on innovation generated and its influence on market and financial performance in agribusiness firms in Extremadura (Spain). DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH – A conceptual model was designed and tested. Data were collected from a questionnaire sent to innovative agri-food companies. The analysis of the model methodologically combines partial least square structural equation modelling, necessary condition analysis and importance-performance map analysis. FINDINGS – The main results reveal that low levels of innovation ambidexterity impact significantly performance but when compared to exploitative innovation, explorative innovation shows a stronger influence on the market and financial performance. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS – The results are intended to be useful to managers to improve their innovative performance by incorporating new strategies in the market orientation and organizational structure. ORIGINALITY/VALUE – The originality of this research lies in the novelty of the proposed mediators, as well as the sector under study. The study expands the knowledge of the influence that market orientation and organizational structure have on the types of innovation (exploitative/explorative).This research was supported by the Junta de Extremadura (Spain)/European Regional Development Fund [grant number IB18040] and the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia [grant UIDB/00315/2020].peerReviewe
The situation derived from the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and lockdowns ordered to control the pandemic led to unprecedented problems in different areas of people’s well-being. This study aimed to explore the acute effects of the first lockdown on self-perceived sleep quality, as well as the risk/protective factors that modulated this impact. The sample was composed by 1,275 respondents ranging in age from 18 to 55 years. Participants were recruited during the COVID-19 first lockdown in Spain. They were evaluated regarding their selfreported sleep problems before and during lockdown, as well as other areas related to the impact of lockdown (e.g., on diet, physical activity, or use of digital media), psychological states (positive and negative affect), and traits (impulsivity). Most participants (66.7%) reported a decrease in their self-perceived sleep quality during the pandemic. Correlational analyses showed that maintaining good levels of physical activity and diet quality during the pandemic were positively associated with sleep quality; furthermore, greater levels of positive affect, living in bigger homes during lockdown, and age were positively associated with sleep quality as well.
On the contrary, negative affect, female sex, and the impact of the pandemic on various domains (mental health, relationship quality, personal finances, and the use of digital media) were negatively related to self-perceived sleep quality. In brief, this study supports the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on self-perceived sleep quality and provides a preliminary foundation for identifying protective and risk factors contributing to sleep quality during lockdowns and other situations of distress.peerReviewe
Internet interventions and therapies for addressing the negative impact of digital overuse: a focus on digital free tourism and economic sustainability
The excessive use of information technologies (IT) and online digital devices are causing symptoms of burnout, anxiety, stress and dependency that affect the physical and mental health of our society, extending to leisure time and work relationships. Digital free tourism (DFT) is a phenomenon that emerges as a solution to technostress and pathologies derived from digital hyperconnection. The objective of this research is to advance the knowledge of new structures of motivational factors that can understand the decision of a tourist to make a DFT trip. To this end, it is investigated whether family and social engagement and health and relaxation have a positive impact on the behavioral intention of the potential tourist and whether this influences sustainability due to the importance of DFT in the new economic framework.
Methods With a quantitative approach, the methodology used consisted of an online questionnaire among
potential travelers. IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 statistical software was used to evaluate the data obtained and confirm the relationships of the model and the research hypotheses.
Results The results of the questionnaire assessed the contribution of each construct to the tourist’s behavioral
intention and the tourist’s decision to make the decision to undertake a DFT experience.
Conclusions DFT can be a driver of economic sustainability and health therapy in tourism in the digital age. This
study aims to expand the lines of research on DFT and determine the complex factors that can lead a tourist to
participate in the DFT experience. The results obtained can help managers of companies in the sector to offer more efficient and sustainable services that contribute to the health and wellbeing of tourists as a differentiating factor.peerReviewe

The book is a compilation of works previously published by the author in various places. This compilation can be read both in a unitary way, because it is based on theoretical approaches that permeate everything discussed, and by taking each chapter as an independent and self-sufficient study.
The importance of publishing this book lies in two facts:
a) On the one hand, it allows access to the author's publications that are not always easy to locate.
b) On the other hand, and above all, it constitutes a work that brilliantly and masterfully addresses complex problems of Spanish grammar from a solid and perfectly founded personal theoretical perspective, which is why it can be very interesting for researchers in Spanish grammar and general linguistics. teachers of these same areas of any educational level and university students of Hispanic Philology, Romance Philology and General Linguistics.peerReviewe
Gibraltar and its fit in the European Union
Gibraltar is a strategic enclave located at the southernmost end of the Iberian Peninsula, adjacent to the Kingdom of Spain. Ceded to the United Kingdom in 1713, the territory has been and continues being the subject of a territorial dispute between the United Kingdom and Spain and a major conflict for diplomatic relations due to a variety of conflicts generated by the area, in addition to the difficult context of the Territory within the European Union. Without forgetting that throughout this work we will deal with issues such as the transformation of the Gibraltarian economy and its impact on the area as well as the legal-economic fit that Gibraltar has within the European Union and the particularity at the time of the application of the Law of the European Union.peerReviewe

Exploring Trichoderma diversity for sustainable disease management in “Lolium perenne” against “Fusarium avenaceum”
Financiación Open Access proporcionada gracias al acuerdo CRUE-CSIC con Springer Nature“Fusarium” species represent a significant threat to pasture health, necessitating the development of sustainable solutions. This study explores the potential of regionally adapted “Trichoderma” isolates for controlling “Fusarium avenaceum” and promoting plant growth in the grasslands of the Iberian Peninsula. To this end, seven “Trichoderma” isolates (belonging to “T. koningiopsis”, “T. koningii” and “T. gamsii”) were obtained from soils of Extremadura and then evaluated as potential biocontrol agents against “Fusarium avenaceum”. For the purposes of this evaluation, water was used as a negative control, while a commercial “Trichoderma” product served as a positive control. An initial in vitro evaluation revealed that six “Trichoderma” isolates significantly inhibited “F. avenaceum” in a dual culture assay, reducing pathogen growth by 18 to 49%. Additionally, two of the isolates showed antifungal potential during the evaluation of their culture filtrates. Subsequently, two greenhouse assays were conducted to assess the effects of “Trichoderma" isolates and the pathogen on the development of “Lolium perenne”. One focused on seed germination and the other on established plants. The greenhouse experiments indicated that T08 (“T. koningiopsis”), T14 (“T. koningii”), and T19 (“T. gamsii”) significantly improved seed germination and plant growth, even outperforming the positive control on total dry matter in pathogen-infected plants during the postemergence test. Our study highlights the potential of “Trichoderma” isolates, particularly T08, T14, and T19, to boost plant growth and control “Fusarium avenaceum” in “Lolium perenne”. It emphasizes the importance of in planta testing and reveals the varying effects of the isolates throughout the plant cycle.Carlos Moraga has been financed by a pre-doctoral grant (PRE2021-100318) funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by “ESF Investing in your future”.peerReviewe

Grammatical gender in Spanish: history of a concept
The aim of this paper is to analyze the evolution of the concept of grammatical gender in Spanish from a lexicographical perspective. Starting from the idea that gender in Spanish helps to express agreement relationships with determiners and other kinds of words that accompany the noun in the nominal group, I will try to understand how the Latin word GENUS, GENERIS developed into Castilian género ‘gender’. It concerns a conceptual transposition that for the explanation of the word from a semantic point of view, has always taken into account its relationship with the (biological) concept of sex. This view emerges in the first language dictionaries, which allow for a grammatical specialization of the use of género, and persists until the latest, 23rd, edition of the academic dictionary, from 2014. Through the analysis of the definitions offered by the Spanish dictionaries, and with the support of some grammars, I will try to show that the use of the noun género with a grammatical meaning appears late in the wordlists of our language and that, from the first records onward, it has never been detached from its primitive meanings, closer to the concepts 'class', 'type', 'species', 'category' (common since Nebrija) from which the one of interest here also derived. Because, as the dictionaries show, this meaning arose to classify the category of the noun according to the sex of its referent or to establish syntactic relationships of agreement with other classes of words, without ever losing its morphematic character in nouns that designate species with a procreative function.peerReviewe
