Machine Learning Algorithms for Attitude Prediction From Arabic Text: Detecting Student Attitude Towards Online Learning
Due to its flexibility, accessibility and the increasing importance of digital literacy, online learning has gained priority in the last few years. However, several challenges have led students to resist it. Predicting students’ attitudes towards online learning could assist educators and educational institutions in addressing these challenges and enhancing its effectiveness. This paper presents a Learning Attitude Prediction Model (LAPM) that can detect students’ attitudes from their informal Arabic texts. To generate the desired LAPM, five machine learning algorithms and three different approaches for text representation are employed. In addition, handling stop words is another important issue when dealing with informal Arabic text. Two scenarios are commonly adopted: preserving and eliminating stop words. The best result was obtained when using a support vector machine (SVM) classifier coupled with the term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) approach and preserving stop-words, achieving an F1-score of 85.4%. Therefore, an effective LAPM could be developed to predict students’ attitudes. Using LAPM, educators and educational institutions can monitor students’ attitudes toward online learning and provide personalized support to individual students. Consequently, an enhancement in student satisfaction and an improvement in academic achievement could be achieved

The results indicate that student satisfaction with e-learning is neutral, whereas faculty satisfaction is high. Additionally, faculty members possess the necessary knowledge and skills for e-learning. Given the variation in previous studies’ findings, the study recommends conducting further study to enrich the theoretical literature
The Effect of Problem Based Learning Approach in Enhancing Problem Solving Skills in Chemistry Education: A Systematic Review
Chemistry is a scientific discipline that is often considered difficult because students struggle to solve contextual and open-ended problems, mainly due to a poor understanding of scientific concepts related to the problem. To fully grasp the concepts in chemistry, students must develop the ability to solve real-life problems. Problem-solving skills are applied in many aspects of life, making them crucial for the 21st century. Problem-based learning (PBL) is an effective method for improving students’ problem-solving skills. This study aims to outline how the PBL approach enhances students’ problem-solving skills, specifically in the context of chemistry education. The sixteen research articles reviewed in this paper were collected from well-known databases such as ERIC, SCOPUS, and Google Scholar. Systematic literature review (SLR) is the method used in this review. This review provides evidence that PBL can enhance problem-solving skills in chemistry education. All research articles have shown that PBL has a significantly positive effect on the problem-solving skills of students. Seven out of sixteen articles have provided insights into the design and framework of PBL implementation. The researcher recommends conducting more studies in all areas of chemistry to provide clear guidance on incorporating PBL. The researcher also recommends using mobile technologies to integrate PBL in a stimulating manner, such as by developing a mobile application to aid in the instructional process. Proper insights into the effectiveness of implementing PBL to enhance problem-solving skills in chemistry, as well as the integration of PBL into the instructional process, are necessary. This will aid teachers and lecturers in planning their lessons, which is why this systematic review is needed

Danmaku-Based Automatic Analysis of Real-Time Online Learning Engagement
In recent years, there has been a rapid growth of online learning in higher education. Apart from professional online course platforms, many online video sharing websites have also provided online learning opportunities for college students. One of the most popular websites among college students in China is Bilibili, a Shanghai-based Chinese video sharing website known for its danmaku commenting system. This system enables users to post scrolling comments synchronized with the video timeline while the video is playing. Which attracts young students due to the lively user interaction. As a result, an increasing number of Chinese students are utilizing online courses on Bilibili as a supplementary learning resource alongside traditional classroom learning. Despite its popularity, online learning faces the challenge of students’ lack of participation more than traditional face-to-face learning does. To understand their learning involvement, we propose a novel danmaku-based automatic analysis model that extracts three dimensions of online learning engagement using the Text Mind software. This model enables us to understand the students’ learning patterns both as clusters and as individuals. Based on the model results, we present corresponding intervention strategies for different types of students based on their individual engagement characteristics

Artificial Intelligence Technology for Interactive Mobile Devices and Its Application in 3D Visual Design
The use of visual rationality in planning and designing indoor 3D spaces can effectively enhance the quality of environmental art design. For the rational planning and design of 3D spaces, it is essential to assign attribute values to the rational evaluation index of 3D space planning, determine the weight vector of rational evaluation factors for indoor 3D space planning, and accomplish the visual rationality planning and design of indoor 3D spaces. 3D reconstruction is one of the primary objectives and focal points of machine vision research. The principle is to extract 3D information from the 2D image captured by the machine’s sensors in order to reconstruct a 3D scene model. The traditional method constructs the evaluation index system for indoor 3D space planning to determine the weight of the evaluation index for alternative points. However, it overlooks the weight vector of the evaluation factors, leading to low accuracy in rational planning. This paper optimizes the effect of structured light reconstruction using photometric stereo vision. Firstly, the text delves into the impact of light sources on the 3D reconstruction effect. Subsequently, a fusion algorithm combining 3D and structured light reconstruction methods is introduced, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Experimental results show that this algorithm has a superior 3D reconstruction effect
