Evaluation of Post-Pandemic Behavioral Problems in Two Dog Populations Using the C-BARQ Test in Two Veterinary Clinics in Samborondón, Ecuador
The COVID-19 pandemic, declared a public health emergency by the World Health Organization (WHO) on January 30, 2020, imposed mobility and socialization restrictions in several countries, affecting the daily lives of millions of people. As a result of these restrictions, many people spent more time in their homes, leading to an exponential increase in pet adoption rates. In addition, dogs already living with their guardians experienced an increase in the frequency of interaction, such as playtime, petting and short walks. This significantly changed the daily routines of the animals and led to changes in the lifestyles of the guardians, who adapted their care practices
Promoción De La Comunicación En Salud Mediante La Inclusión Del Idioma Kichwa En El Centro San Juan De Llullundongo (2023-2024)
In rural and intercultural contexts in Ecuador, communication between health professionals and indigenous patients is hindered by language barriers, which compromises the equity and quality of care. This study aims to establish the relationship between effective health communication and the use of the Kichwa language in the San Juan de Llullundongo Health Centre. A quantitative, descriptive and correlational approach is applied, with a cross-sectional design. The sample is census-based and includes 16 health professionals. A structured survey was used, validated by experts and analysed using SPSS software. The results show that 93.75% of the staff have no or little knowledge of Kichwa, and most of them are unable to provide medical information in that language. 87.5% consider it useful to incorporate Kichwa into their work. 87.5% consider it useful to incorporate bilingual materials. The research concludes that the lack of linguistic competence limits the quality of care and violates the patient\u27s right to understand their health process. It is suggested that incorporating Kichwa is a communicative strategy and an act of cultural justice. It is recommended that intercultural training be strengthened and that public policies be implemented to guarantee linguistically relevant care.

Uveitis, an ocular condition characterized by inflammation of the middle layer of the eye, can manifest itself in association with various systemic diseases, with autoimmune diseases being a prominent component. Its complexity lies in its etiological diversity and the variety of clinical manifestations, ranging from mild to severe presentations. The aim of this research is to analyze the prevalence and characteristics of uveitis in the context of autoimmune diseases, and to examine the associated clinical repercussions. A comprehensive literature review was conducted using specialized databases, the sample comprised epidemiological studies and systematic reviews related to AD and associated rheumatic diseases. The results revealed a significant prevalence of uveitis in patients with AS, highlighting the importance of ophthalmologic surveillance in this population
Burnout in Guayaquil\u27s financial sector
This article presents the results of a study that analyzes the prevalence and factors associated with burnout syndrome among financial sector employees in the city of Guayaquil. Using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), a widely recognized tool developed by Dr. Christina Maslach, a representative sample of workers was surveyed to assess three dimensions of burnout: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal fulfillment. The findings reveal that a significant percentage of financial employees in Guayaquil experience high levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, along with low levels of personal fulfillment, indicating a worrying prevalence of burnout in this sector. The prevalence of burnout in this population was 40.4%. Statistically significant relationships were found between the presence of burnout and variables such as age group, number of children, hours of sleep, self-rated physical health and self-rated mental health. It is necessary that both institutions and control agencies take measures that allow an adequate management of burnout syndrome in the city\u27s financial system
Evaluation of polyurethane coating performance under various atmospheric conditions
A thorough wear analysis was carried out on four variants of polyurethane-based paint, each with different compositions. The central objective was to determine the magnitude of wear of each type, considering the influence of various environmental factors, which were evaluated under atmospheric conditions at altitudes of 0 m.a.s.l. and 2800 m.a.s.l. To achieve this purpose, accelerated laboratory tests were implemented to replicate adverse conditions for the coating. In addition, outdoor tests were carried out, considering different atmospheric conditions. Both types of tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM guidelines, thus ensuring an optimal quality standard for the results obtained. The results revealed the marked influence of UV rays on coating wear, as well as variations in color and gloss loss over the course of different tests and atmospheric conditions. Significantly, it was observed that outdoor tests generated more pronounced wear due to factors such as light, temperature, humidity and contamination, compared to simulated laboratory tests. In particular, it was noted that silica-protected paints exhibited less loss in both gloss and color under both normal and simulated conditions. This finding supports the conclusion that this compound can indeed extend the life of the paint

Structural analysis of a chassis for a Formula SAE using finite element software
The proposal of this research was the structural analysis of a chassis for a Formula SAE by means of finite element software with the objective of analyzing the structural behavior with different materials according to the standards stipulated by the technical regulations. For this, a quantitative approach was used in which the difference between the data of design one and the other designs was evaluated, and the mechanical characteristics of the materials were determined by means of the research method. Finally, the best performing design was defined using the statistical method in which the results of the structural analysis obtained in the finite element software were presented. The results of the analysis showed that the optimum material for the structure was A500 Steel with a weight of 51.2 kg, a deformation of 0.16 mm was achieved in the belt test and a tension of 38.59 MPa. The values obtained in the simulations are compared with design 1 in its legal basis. From the simulations performed, it is determined that design 3 complies with the requirements stipulated by the Formula SAE regulations using materials at world, regional and national level; determining that the A500 steel considered as national material presents better performance for this type of competition
