Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the legal arrangements for the place of entry and release of animal and plant quarantine carrier media, and the factors, constraints, solutions, and implementation of the place of entry and release of animal and plant quarantine carrier media. Methodology: The research method of this thesis is normative juridical (legal research) through a literature study with an empirical juridical approach (sociological juridical) through field studies aimed at empirically obtaining legal knowledge. Results: The results showed that the legal regulation of the place of entry and release of animal and plant quarantine carrier media is Article 86 and Article 87 of Law Number 21 of 2019 concerning Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine, which regulates the prohibition of entering or removing animal and plant quarantine carrier media other than the place of entry and release determined by the Central Government. The implementation of animal and plant quarantine entry and exit points at the Batam Class I Agricultural Quarantine Center reflects serious efforts to maintain the integrity of the national biological security. However, there are obstacles, such as limited human resources, inadequate facilities, and challenges in inter-stakeholder coordination. However, by applying the latest technology, increasing the capacity of human resources through training, and improving coordination and communication with related parties, the Batam Quarantine Center found a strategic solution to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its services in carrying out quarantine duties

    No full text
Purpose: This study aims to measure and compare the profit efficiency of local and international commercial banks in Malaysia before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in accordance with the new Basel Committee III guidelines, which mandate banks to adopt a systematic approach to deal with uncertain economic conditions, including events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Research methodology: This study uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), a non-parametric method based on linear mathematical programming, to measure the efficiency of local and international commercial banks in Malaysia. Results: The analysis revealed that local international commercial banks were more efficient than local commercial banks before and during the COVID-19 crisis. Limitations: Potential areas for future research involve extending the application of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and examining various dimensions and metrics about different countries, as each country possesses distinct financial contexts. Contribution: This study contributes to the existing body of literature on the profit efficiency of local and international banks. It provides insights that can assist the government in formulating appropriate regulations to enhance banks’ profit efficiency, thereby improving their overall performance

    No full text
Purpose: The current study is the outcome of a thorough evaluation of the literature on functionalism in human resource management as it relates to organizational performance. It examines the role of human resource management and looks into various issues with human resource management in firms in such situations. Research Methodology: The theoretical underpinnings are accomplished through a systematic review and subsequent thematic content analysis of literature, including reports from published literature and research papers that have been published. These were critically examined, and the best matching documents were then carefully chosen for inclusion to reach a conclusion. Result: The result emphasizes the necessity for human resource management managers to implement cutting-edge strategies for faculty and staff empowerment so they may traverse the fast-changing environment and perform to their full potential against the odds. To engage stakeholders in amicably avoiding recalcitrance, a conceptual qualitative framework is established and recommended for the functionalism of tailored human resource management. This approach can help managers of human resources find opportunities during this crisis and help them come to significant conclusions about how to address issues and create a positive culture. Limitation: Risks of bias such as selection bias, insufficient blinding, attrition bias, and selective outcome reporting may be among the limitations. Future Implications: By working together to overcome predicted difficulties, this framework can help an educational leader manage stakeholders' expectations and benefit academics and practitioners alike. Novelty: Research novelty was a brand-new concept that might result in new knowledge or contribute to already-existing knowledge

    No full text
Purpose: Conducting analysis on the current inventory control and proposing suggestions and improvements related to inventory control in SMEs Y using the Material Flow Cost Accounting (MFCA) approach. Research methodology: This research adopts a case study approach with research methods including observation, document analysis and interviews. Results: Based on the summation of raw material costs, energy costs, and system costs, the total allocation of product costs and allocation of material loss costs can be calculated. In the cost flow matrix, it is concluded that the company experiences a material loss of 7.5%. In fact, every production stage generates waste, and although the percentage of material loss may not always be significant, by reducing that percentage, the company can enhance the cost efficiency of its production. Limitations: The focus on manufactured firms especially SMEs Y limits the generalizability of the study findings to other sectors of the economy and scalability. Contributions: The results of this study can be used as a consideration in formulating policies related to the management of fashion raw material inventory in Indonesia, particularly for other SMEs in managing their inventory and if they intend to implement Material Cost Flow Accounting in their production processes

    No full text
Purpose: Telecom firms and businesses use short message marketing to convey information, advertise their products, and establish customer relationships. This study attempts to understand the effects of SMS marketing on consumer attitudes and purchase decisions from a Bangladeshi perspective. This study extends the Ducoffe model of advertising value (entertainment, informativeness, and irritation) by including two constructs: credibility and personalization. Research methodology: A total of 220 mobile phone users were surveyed using non-probability convenience sampling techniques and data were collected across Dhaka City, Bangladesh. The research model was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The PLS-SEM (Smart PLS 3.3.9) software was used for path modeling. Before conducting the SEM, this study performed a series of tests to assess the reliability and validity of the data. Results: The findings revealed that informativeness and credibility are the most decisive factors influencing consumer attitudes and purchasing decisions. Limitations: This study neglects privacy concerns, social impact, effort anticipation, and monetary incentives that are crucial to customer attitudes and SMS marketing purchase decisions. This study was conducted using data from a single city in Dhaka, Bangladesh, indicating that the findings are limited to that country's scenario. Contribution: The results of this research provide theoretical contributions to the existing research in this field of study and practical implications for marketing professionals, mobile operators, and third-party service providers in developing appropriate strategies and policies for SMS marketing
