Cyber law analysis of E-KTP data leakage: A case approach of 102 million KTP data allegedly leaked from the Ministry of Social Affairs to a hacker forum

    No full text
Purpose: The Identity Card (KTP) is a personal identification document mandatory for all Indonesian citizens. The Indonesian government, through Law No. 24 of 2013 on Population Administration and its implementing regulation, Permendagri No. 73 of 2022, regulates the detailed recording of identity in population documents to ensure official registration and protection of every citizen's identity. However, the issue of data leakage has become increasingly urgent in today's digital era. The case of the leak of 102 million KTP data from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) raises significant concerns regarding the privacy and security of individual data. This data leak, allegedly spread on a hacker forum, highlights the vulnerabilities of the government's information technology infrastructure. Method: This research employs a document analysis method, collecting information from primary and secondary sources, including news reports, laws, and regulations related to data security, as well as case studies on cybercrime. An interdisciplinary approach is used, combining literature from law, information technology, and cybersecurity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal challenges in the E-KTP data leak case. Results: The findings emphasize the importance of strengthening regulations, raising public awareness, and enforcing strict legal measures to protect personal data. This research aims to provide insights into improving personal data protection and information security in Indonesia, offering recommendations for enhancing the protection of citizens' data in the future

    No full text
Purpose: The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) explained that three out of four children experienced bullying and reported that the perpetrators were their peers. Furthermore, they noted that two out of three children aged 13-17 years had experienced bullying. This fact is also reinforced by data collected by KPAI over five years; 34,908 bullying incidents occurred, 2,473 of which occurred at school. This indicates that bullying occurs massively in the school environment. Bullying is a damaging factor in children's growth and development; often, the background for bullying is due to students' lack of understanding of it and the lack of friendly relations between them. This research aims to develop a model in the “Kita Bersaudara,” which teachers can use to prevent bullying among students. This research adapts Borg and Gall's research and development, with the main research subjects being students. Methods: Data were collected using observation methods, interviews, and assessment sheets from experts to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of this model. Result: This development model research shows that (1) teachers need a model based on friendship or brotherhood to educate students about bullying. (2) Assessment of the feasibility of our model showed a very high validity category, with an average value of 3.65 from the score. The maximum is 4.00, and practicality is considered very practical with an average score of 4.61, out of a maximum score of 5.00. (3) There is a significant difference in the number of bullying cases at the Primary School of Insan Cendekia Madani before and after model of the “Kita Bersaudara” was implemented

The data processing used in this research is by processing data on the model's validity and practicality, and N-gain test analysis and Paired Sample t-test using SPSS version 24 were also carried out to evaluate effectiveness. Results: The research results obtained are: 1) assessment of the feasibility of the flipbook-based personal development information service model shows a high validity category with an average value of 91%, and its practicality is considered very practical to use with an average value of 87%; 2) assessment of effectiveness, there is a Sig.2 tailed value of 0.000 < 0.025, so Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, as well as an increase in the average (Gain) of pretest and post-test data of 0.60, which is classified as a medium criterion. Based on the research results, the developed product model is effective and contributes to increasing self-awareness among high school students in late adolescence

Obstacles to the enforcement of sovereignty in the land border area of the Unitary State of Republic Indonesia (NKRI) with the Republic Democratic Timor Leste (RDTL)

    No full text
Purpose: This paper aims to determine the extent of the enforcement of the sovereignty of the territory of the Republic of Indonesia in North Insana District, North Central Timor Regency, and Oecusse District, Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (RDTL). In 1999, following a UN-supervised referendum, Timor Leste seceded Indonesia after 24 years, marking its transition to independence. The nascent state is now tasked with delineating its borders with adjacent nations, notably Indonesia, to affirm its sovereignty and preempt potential territorial disputes. Method: This study employed a dual-methodology approach, integrating library research—comprising an analysis of books, international treaties, seminar proceedings, correspondence, online resources, and other scholarly materials—with empirical fieldwork conducted in the border region under investigation. Results: The research findings highlight two primary issues in the RI-RDTL border area, particularly in the North Insana District. First, indeterminate territorial boundaries result in frequent illegal cross-border activities by border communities, who feel marginalized in the developmental agenda and often turn to neighboring countries for their needs. Second, development in the border region, exemplified by the micro-level traffic at Haumusu Wini Village, calls for a broader, more inclusive developmental approach. Challenges to sovereignty in this context stem from constrained resources, inadequate infrastructure and facilities, limited accessibility and insufficient funding. Limitations: Two significant limitations of this study could be addressed in future research: the authors' time constraints and the distance of the research location. Contributions: This contribution highlights the significance of territorial sovereignty in comprehensive state protection
