A Study of the Education of "Free Drawing" in the Taisho Era
Get PDFP(論文)In the Taisho Era, Kanae Yamamoto (a painter) advocated the art educational movement of "Free Drawing". The movement had a tremendous impact on art education in Japan. In the Meiji-Taisho Era, many elementary schoolteachers taught their pupils "RINGA-Drawing" (reproduction from art textbooks). Kanae Yamamoto strongly objected to "RINGA-drawing". But, already about fifteen years before that, some elementary schoolteachers objected to "RINGA-Drawing"

Get PDFP(論文)2003年7月19日の福岡大水害で壊滅的な被害を受けた嘉穂劇場(福岡県田川市)では復旧作業が終わり、2004年9月17日・18日に、こけら落とし公演となる同劇場名物の「全国座長大会」が開かれた。嘉穂劇場について、研究論文の一節を紹介すると、「嘉穂劇場とは、日本で唯一、現役のままで昭和初期から生きつづけてきた、木造純和風、2階建入母屋造り、江戸時代の歌舞伎上演機能を完全に備えた大衆的な芝居小屋である。今も毎月1回か2回、せいぜい3・4回、細々ではあるが、下町の玉三郎とか、森進一とか、みやこ蝶々・大村こんといった芸人たち、あるいは博多淡海や筑紫美主子など九州の一座が、昔ながらの興行をする。」(鈴木1988 : 51)。2003年、大水害に見舞われた嘉穂劇場の復旧費用は建物本体だけで約2憶7千万円かかり、音響や照明の設備を含め、3億円を超える巨額の資金が必要となったが、個人経営では工面できず、公的支援が受けやすい特定非営利活動(NPO)法人化に踏み切り、2004年1月に、1931年の開場以来72年余り続いた個人経営に終止符が打たれたが、昭和初期からこれまで、嘉穂劇場がずっと存続してきたことは、特筆すべきことである。「昔はこの種の劇場は全国におそらく何千とあったろう。が、今やすべて死に絶え、ごく少数のものが文化財となって『生かされて』いる状態であるが、昔のままに生き続けているのは、この嘉穂劇場一座だけである。」(同書 : 51)。嘉穂劇場が存続してきたのはなぜであろうか、まずはその条件からみていくことにしよう
Mental Images toward the Elderly and Knowledge about the Elderly : Comparison of Female Care Workers and Female Junior College Students
Get PDFP(論文)The purpose of this study are (1) to compare the mental images of the elderly held by female care workers and female college students, and (2) to examine the relationship between their images and their knowledge about the elderly. Nineteen pairs of adjectives were presented to 128 female subjects (84 college students and 44 care workers). The mean age of the college students was 18.5 years, and the mean age of the care workers was 41.9 years. The results showed that the images of the elderly held by the care workers and the college students are similar and that there no significant difference regarding knowledge of the elderly exists between the groups. Moreover, there is almost no relation between mental images of the elderly held by the subjects and the subjects' age and knowledge about the elderly
