    Marginalization of women in politics is very apparent most especially in Africa, where women are deemed by many as having no business with politics. In Nigeria, the above statement is also a fact when one considers the number of female parliamentarians in the country’s National Assembly. Ever since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999, there have not been a substantial number of women in the legislature when compared to the number of their male counterparts. In the 7th and the 8th assemblies the problem still persisted. Howbeit, there are several factors responsible for this issue and these factors are what this study tries to look at. But before that, this paper looks briefly at the 7th and the 8th assemblies. To achieve the above however, secondary data is purely used

    Accounting fraud often occurs and increases in several countries and organizations. The deviant action in financial statements is one of the accounting fraudulent actions. The impact and consequences of accounting fraud cannot be avoided and microfinance institution will suffer losses due to this action. This study aims to examine and obtain empirical evidence of the effectivity of internal control effectiveness, information asymmetry, compliance with accounting rules and management morality towards accounting fraudulent tendencies in Rural Credit Institutions (LPD) in Denpasar City. Data is obtained by giving questionnaires to the leadership and accounting staff at the Rural Credit Institution (LPD) in Denpasar City. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling method. The sample in this study were 70 respondents. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis. The data obtained were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Science (SPSS) program. The results showed that the effectiveness of internal control and management morality had a negative effect on accounting fraud tendencies. While information asymmetry and compliance with accounting rules do not affect the tendency of accounting fraud

    Increasing quality of services increasingly gets the attention of companies to increase supply to consumers. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze: 1) Effect of service quality on consumer decisions, 2) Effect of trust in consumer decisions, 3) Effect of service quality and trust simultaneously on consumer decisions. The sampling method uses non-probability sampling with the accidential sampling technique with a total sample of 96 people. The unit of analysis is consumers who use the services of PT. Gorontalo Branch JNE. Data collection is done through observation and questionnaires. Data were analyzed quantitatively by using multiple regression analysis techniques with SPSS 21 statistical program. The results showed that trust had a significant effect on consumer decisions. Service quality and trust have a simultaneous influence on consumer decisions. The interesting finding from the results of this study is that service quality has no significant effect on consumer decisions. This shows that the quality of service is good, not necessarily consumers decide to use these services. Suggestions / recommendations, the need for companies to improve tangible and assurance indicators related to the availability of facilities and infrastructure in service and attention to guarantees for consumer goods

    This study explores the links between job satisfaction, turnover intention, and employee performance. In particular, we investigate the mediating effect of turnover intention on the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance in KSU Sinar Dana Mandiri. The research was based on primary data, and this research was conducted on the employee’s working in cooperative institution. The sample consisted employee of 32 respondents on KSU Sinar Dana Mandiri. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis techniques to answer the problem formulation with the help of SmartPLS 3 program. Research finding are job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, turnover intention has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, and turnover intention variable is able to be a mediating variable between job satisfaction and employee performance

    The study aimed to: Understand and analyze the poors perceptions and attitude on poverty reduction programs, identify, elaborate, and analyzethe term poor among the poor people and identify and analyze meaning and expectation on poverty reduction program. This research applies developmental research method; the analysis model uses SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). Before applying this model, goodness of fit was conducted in order to find out whether this model can be accepted or not. The model could achived goodness of fit; therefore, all variables could follow hypothesis test. The research result showed the changed in economic structures have direct significant influence on the government’s stimulus and economic growth. Capital establishment also has direct unsignificant effect on the government’s stimulus. Capitall establishment has significant influence to the economic growth and the socio cultural influence does not have significant influence to the economic growth. These results indicate that the greater stimulus of the government signified by precise goals leads to better economic growth

The purpose of this research is to know the variables that become the power, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the face of Luwak coffee agro tourism in marketing its products. From the results of research in the know agro-tourism Luwak coffee has strength (Strength), namely: innovation is technically in producing quality products with options, change the design in accordance with the wishes of the customer, developed ideas and systems change the distribution. In addition, the completeness of facilities, special rates, service, location, employee appearance, the mastery of a foreign language. While his weakness (Weakness) lack of promotion of the maximum, and the lack of mastery of the technology in the production of goods.     This research aims to analyze the effect of Reward, and Punishment against the performance of Employees on the Royal Tunjung Bali Spa Kuta Legian & Hotel. This research method using the census to determine the number of sampelnya, with all employees so that the number of samples of research is as much as 35 employees. The data collection method using observation, interview and questionnaire presented to employees Royal Tunjung Bali Spa Kuta Legian & Hotel. Data analysis technique used is a Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 17.0. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Analytical techniques used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that test results obtained F, with F count of 73.737 with significant value 0.000 < 0.05 then Ho is rejected, this means a variable Reward and Punishment effect simultan against variable Employee Performance. and also Reward positive and significant influence on performance of employees can be seen from the results of the test T retrieved the value T calculate the significance value 2.229 of 0.033. While the value T calculate the Punishment of 2.196 means having a significant and positive influence on performance of employees. Reward is the dominant or most variables in influencing the performance of employees. The results of this research show that the better the Reward for employees, which is supported by the existence of Punishment in the form of awarding penalties to employees who make mistakes it is able to improve the performance of employees become better again, so need to do a repair and improvement by Splurge management Tunjung Bali Hotel & Spa

    An Empirical Study of Workplace Violence: Ideas on How to Stop It

    Zero-tolerance against Workplace Violence (WPV) should be the motto of every workplace. No worker should be a victim of such abuse. As such, organisations should ensure the existence of a safe working environment, and governments should introduce tough legislation to halt WPV. Furthermore, extensive research is required on ways to prevent WPV. The current research in this area is limited to defining WPV, finding where and when it occurs, and drafting prevention policies. But the actual way to prevent WPV remains a largely unexplored area. Brainstorming is an effective way to generate a pool of ideas on how to prevent WPV. This study generated a pool of ideas by conducting a survey on how to prevent WPV. The survey included 50 participants from various industries and found that 40% of the participants had experienced some kind WPV. This is an alarming statistic. Participants also shared their ideas on how to prevent WPV

This paper contains a phone interview with one of the managers in Intel (M) Corporation, an American multinational technology company with its Malaysia main headquarter located in Penang to get more about the internal issues regarding organizational behaviour in the company such as overcoming of stress, design of a decision and also company culture and structure. Intel (M) Corporation has turned to be a splendid company in its working environment with both internal and external supports received from employees and the community.
