    A Construction of Entrepreneurial Personality Tests: Testing Archetype Personality Inventory in Entrepreneurship

    VUCA is about a hyper-competitive and unpredictable environment. It stands for volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Personal attributes are necessary to navigate the VUCA environment. Studies in entrepreneurship show that narratives help people to connect different experiences. Literature shows that a narrative journey can be described through archetypes and relate to entrepreneurial behavior. This study aims to construct and validate measurements of entrepreneurial personality by adapting Pearson & Marr's archetype inventory test within the entrepreneurial context. This study was conducted as an assessment of the measurement psychometric attributes consisting of 12 archetypes. Explanatory Factor Analysis (EFA) was carried out by Oblimin rotation resulting in 60 final items. This study involved 154 small and medium entrepreneurs in Jakarta and West Java

    The Effect of Type A Personality and Public Accountant Law Perception on Career Interests as Public Accountants

    Individuals with type A personalities are people with high achievement-oriented, competitive, and fast workers. They are considered qualified to be public accountants. However, the perceptions of public accountant laws influence their career interests. The purpose of the research is to investigate the influence of type A personality and perception of public accountant law on career interests of accounting students as public accountants. The data were collected by disseminating questionnaires to respondents of 94 accounting students of the 7th semester and above at the private universities in Denpasar. All instruments are valid and reliable. Data distribution has been freed from classical assumptions. The findings indicate that type A personality and the perception of public accountant laws have positive and significant effects on accounting student career interests as public accountants

    How Job Stress Affect Job Satisfaction and Employee Performance in Four-Star Hotels

    Four-Star Hotels in Bali continue to control the situation of the Covid-19 Pandemic by maintaining employee performance. Social Exchange Theory used to understand a person's behavior at work. A company leader who knows what employees want and can explain what will be obtained if the work results are in accordance with employee expectations will try to show maximum performance. The decline in employee performance indicates an increase in job stress and a decrease in employee job satisfaction. This study aims to determine the effect of job stress experienced by employee on job satisfaction and employee performance at Four-Star Hotels in Bali. The questionnaires were distributed to 130 employees from 10 Four-Star Hotels in Bali, only 117 questionnaires were returned (response rate 90%). The results showed that job stress has a negative effect on employee performance and, job satisfaction, while job satisfaction has no effect on employee performance. The research implies that job condition can cause stress depending on the employee's condition. The salaries they earn do not match the workload they, especially when working from home, and working time of other employees reduce their level of satisfaction at work. However, Covid-19 Pandemic conditions nowadays, employees feel that job satisfaction has no effect on their performance

    Service Quality Dimension and Customers' Satisfaction: An Empirical Study of Tesco Hypermarket in Malaysia

    With the rapid growth of the hypermarket industry in Malaysia, it is hard to investigate customers' preferences towards a particular hypermarket. Increasing competition is shrinking the customer base further. Tesco Hypermarket has been one of the leading hypermarkets in Malaysia for years. This study investigates the customers' satisfaction towards the service quality dimension of the Tesco Hypermarket in Malaysia. In this study, the service quality of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy are employed. The process of evaluating service quality was performed quantitatively, with a total of 300 customers participating in our questionnaire. A SERVQUAL questionnaire has been structured to measure the impact of service quality dimensions on customer satisfaction. The study’s findings suggest that all the gap scores are negative, explaining that the expectation of customer satisfaction regarding the hypermarket is higher than their perception

    Marrybrown is a Malaysian brand that develops steadily in Halal fast-food chains, which deliver great value products and exceptional quality service. Marrybrown has utilized its competitive advantages and successfully sustained itself among the competitors in the same market. This study investigates the factors influencing the customer dining experience and retention at Marrybrown in Malaysia. The research method is an online survey and analyzed using V-ONE. The findings indicated that food quality, location preference, menu innovation, restaurant environment, and service quality are important variables that affect the customer dining experience and customer retention at Marrybrown located in Malaysia. The findings provide suggestions for future research and improvement of the services provided by Marrybrown located in Malaysia

    Effective Marketing Strategies of McDonald’s in Malaysia and Indonesia

    The purpose of this study is to examine the effective marketing strategies of McDonald’s in Malaysia and Indonesia. The research method used online survey and analyzed by using SPSS version 24. Literature reviews, journals, and papers also are analyzed to support the collected data. The findings indicated that 87.07% of respondents are satisfied with the existing services whereas 69.83% of respondents are satisfied with the food by McDonald's. The findings also showed that the majority of consumers knew McDonald's from social media. The findings provide suggestions for future research and improvement provided by McDonald especially for offering more options and providing more discounts in their services

    The Effect of Quality Care on Patient Loyalty Mediated with Patient Satisfaction and Moderated by Age and Gender (Study in Outpatients at a Private Hospital)

    An increasingly competitive business climate and changes in patient behavior, fostering hospital managers to pay more attention in regard to factors that could affect patient loyalty. Quality care is well known as a major contributor to patient loyalty. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of quality care on patient loyalty with patient satisfaction as the mediating variable, while age and gender as the moderators. This research model was tested empirically in outpatients at a private hospital. The results demonstrate that quality care has a significant positive effect on patient loyalty. Several managerial implications were found for hospital management to increase patient loyalty, especially considering the gender of the patient in providing services

    The Effect of Auditor's Emotional Intelligence, Competence, and Independence on Audit Quality

    The duty of auditor is examining and providing an opinion on the fairness of the financial statements of a business entity based on determining standards. Based on the foregoing, the auditor must maintain audit quality. This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence, competence, and auditor independence on audit quality. This study used a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The sample in this study were all auditors of BPK RI representatives of North Sulawesi Province, as many as 61 respondents. Data analysis techniques were collected through the distribution of questionnaires which were rated and tabulated for analysis and the answers obtained by respondents were by predetermined variable values and being analyzed by using the Amos 24 software, where the data analysis technique was carried out to determine the effect of the SEM analysis approach. The results showed that the emotional intelligence variable had a positive and significant effect on audit quality, competence had a positive and significant effect on audit quality, and independence had a positive and significant effect on audit quality. It is hoped that these research results can be used as material or measurement indicators for BPK institutional auditors to recruit auditors based on knowledge and morals, and character

    Harmonization of the Application of Customary Law and Positive Law in Village Communities of Malang Regency

    Ngadas Village is a village with an interesting order of life and customs like many other villages. The people have lived long with the customs and norms of local wisdom. Our study aims to investigate the harmonization of both customary law and national law in Ngadas Village. The customary law includes the local wisdom value as a philosophy and obeys positive law. To understand the harmonization, we use an empirical juridical approach in understanding the role of government officials in preserving customs and positive law. Subsequently, we discuss the harmonization through the role of government officials covering aspects of community life. Our findings indicate that the positive law serves as a reference to the customary law. The customary law is in line with national interests and laws and national law. Likewise, the customary law is in harmony with religious elements. This denotes the importance of the village's official roles for the local community's interests
