Final Iron Age forts and settlement in Estonia
EST: Andmepakett sisaldab andmeid ja R-i skripte 11.-13. sajandi Eesti linnuste ja erinevate asustust mudeldavate ruumiandmestike (viljakad mullad, kirjalikest allikatest tuntud külad, arheoloogilised asulakohad ja matusepaigad, varauusaegsed mõisad) kohta. Andmepakett on koostatud 2024. aastal Tallinna Ülikooli doktorandi Kristo Siia doktoritöö raames. Andmetega seotud uurimisstrateegiat demonstreerib artikkel Siig 2022 (vt viide allpool).ENG: This is a data package containing data and scripts on forts and different proxies of settlement (fertile soils, recorded villages, settlement sites, burial sites, early modern manors) in 11th-13th century Estonia. The dataset was created by Kristo Siig in 2024 as part of my PhD dissertation work on locational aspects of Iron Age forts in northern Estonia and, more specifically, an article about the hill-fort of Varbola and other 11th to 13th century strongholds in Northwestern Estonia. The basics of the research applications are described in the following paper: Siig, K. 2022. What does location say about function? Using computational methods for analysing how Late Iron Age fortified sites in Estonia are located in the landscape. – Fortifications in their Natural and Cultural Landscape: From Organising Space to the Creation of Power. Papers presented at the International workshop ‘The location of hillforts in their natural and cultural landscape’, organised by the EAA Community on Fortification Research (COMFORT) Schleswig, March 5th/6th, 2020 and the EAA-session #448 (Budapest 2020) ‘Just a demonstration of power? The setting of strongholds within their landscape’ August 29th, 2020. Eds. T. Ibsen; K. Ilves, B. Maixner, S. Messal, & J. Schneeweiß. Baltoscandian Middle Ordovician brachiopod oxygen stable isotope trends: implications for palaeoenvironmental and palaeotemperature changes
Our dataset contain brachiopod and bulk carbonate rock stable isotopic data for oxygen (O) and carbon (C) from the Middle Ordovician succession from northern Estonia region for evaluating the Middle Ordovician palaeotemperature and palaeoenvironmental history. Combining the published and new δ13Cbrac and δ18Obrac data allow us to address chemostratigraphic correlation in the interval Middle Ordovician. The Baltoscandian δ18O data generally confirm a cooling trend from Early to Middle Ordovician documented by previous studies in different palaeobasins. A total of 50 brachiopod and 30 bulk rock samples were collected for this study from eight outcrops in northeastern Estonia
pKaH values and θH angles of phosphanes to predict their electronic and steric parameters
Phosphanes have numerous important uses and at the same time are an important class of organic bases with basicities spanning more than 30 orders of magnitude. In many cases, their behaviour in specific applications depends strongly on their basicity. Basicities (pKaH values) of many phosphanes have been published but are scattered across different reports and there are prominent gaps in the availability of data. In this report, we present an extensive set of pKaH data of a most diverse set of phosphanes, both newly measured/calculated and collected from the literature. We demonstrate that pKaH values can serve as an alternative to Tolman electronic parameters (TEP values) in evaluating the electronic properties of phosphanes. Additionally, we suggest two easily obtainable parameters for assessing the steric properties of phosphaneswithout need for sophisticated calculations or preparation of metal-ligand complexes

This dataset lists the air pollution sources leading to anthropogenic glaciation of supercooled liquid-water clouds. The glaciation events were identified in Terra MODIS data
Python code for processing MODIS satellite data to study anthropogenic glaciation of supercooled liquid-water clouds
The given python code is used to analyse anthropogenic glaciation of supercooled liquid-water clouds downwind of strong industrial point sources of air pollution using Terra MODIS satellite data
Tool for the Experience-based Analysis (EbA) method
This dataset contains a preliminary tool that is created to use Experience-based Analysis (EbA) method. The EbA-tool includes a page with tutorial how to use the method and a page how to use the tool. The dataset contains a fictional example, where a solution has been analyzed by EbA and a file with the full list of all 256 versions of combined answers that the validation with EbA method can give
