サヴィンコフを読む大佛次郎と アルベール・カミュ
Get PDF20 世紀前半の帝政ロシアの革命家ボリス・サヴィンコフは、自身のテロリストとしての実体験をもとに執筆した回想録『テロリスト群像』を1926 年に出版した。これを下敷きにして大佛は小説『詩人』を1933 年に発表し、アルベール・カミュも同じサヴィンコフの回想録をもとにした戯曲『正義の人びと』を1949 年に上演する。両作家はともに『テロリスト群像』第一部第二章で語られる、1905 年のセルゲイ大公暗殺の実行犯カリャーエフを主人公に据えているのだが、本論では、これら三作品を照らし合わせることで、同じ悲劇的運命を辿るそれぞれのカリャーエフ像の差異を浮き彫りにすることを試みた。ノンフィクション小説として執筆された大佛の『詩人』を構成するテキストの大部分は、『テロリスト群像』の英語訳を日本語に訳したものである。だが大佛は、『テロリスト群像』でサヴィンコフが伝えるカリャーエフの狂信的な側面を自作に取り込むことはせず、大公と同じ馬車に乗っていた子供と大公妃の命を助けたことを加筆によって強調することで、原作以上に人道的なカリャーエフ像を提示している。カミュも大佛と同様に、子供たちに爆弾を投げなかったカリャーエフの葛藤を丁寧に描くことで、カリャーエフの「心優しき殺人者」としてのイメージを打ち出している。しかしながら『正義の人びと』が『テロリスト群像』および『詩人』と異なるのは、戯曲の第四幕が示す通り、カリャーエフによる大公暗殺の倫理的な是非が問われている点である。カミュのカリャーエフは、大公暗殺が犯罪であることを認識しており、自らの死をもって償うことでその有罪性を引き受けているのだ。また、大佛とカミュのカリャーエフ像は、両作家の執筆当時の問題意識をそれぞれ反映している。1930 年代に日本の軍部が台頭していく時代を背景に『詩人』を執筆した大佛は、カリャーエフの中に、民衆を虐げる圧政に対して献身的に闘う「正義の人」を見出した。対してカミュは、対独協力者の粛清を支持したのち暴力の行使に加担したことを深く反省し、「暴力は不可避であると同時に正当化できない」という自身のジレンマをカリャーエフに投影する。カミュのカリャーエフは、第二次世界大戦後の作家の思索の集大成である「反抗」の体現者として神話化されているのだ。departmental bulletin pape
Mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) : Students’ perceptions and experiences on the use of mobile applications for language learning
Get PDFAn increasing number of studies highlight the benefits of integrating Mobile assisted language learning (MALL) into the classroom. This paper aims to report on the results of an investigation - whether applying a mobile application (app) enhances language learning in an EFL classroom at a private bilingual university in Tokyo. As part of the class assignment, students were required to complete a weekly journal based on their reflections on using a mobile application for language learning. The results indicated that using a mobile app showed no significant increase in hours of study time, but the feedback from the journal entries suggested that the learners’ general perceptions (of MALL) were largely positive. They felt using an app was not only effective in enhancing their language learning but also created a more enjoyable learning environment with flexibility. The limitations of this paper are discussed for future research along with suggestions for teachers who may be interested in incorporating MALL in EFL classrooms.departmental bulletin pape
Practicing Organized Camp to Promote Psychological Growth in Children
Get PDF本研究は，組織キャンプがどのように子どもの心の成長に貢献するのかを検討した。組織キャンプの専門家と不適応児のキャンプを実践する臨床心理学者とが共同して，キャンプの成長促進的な特徴を整理し，まとめた。現代において都市化された社会に生きる子どもたちには，人間が自然環境の危険を感知して反応するメカニズムを解発する経験が乏しい。自然の中での共同生活は，それを促進し，日常生活のしがらみから解放され，没入し，「自分を出せる」体験をもたらす。信頼関係の形成を踏まえて「自分を出せる」経験をし，他者と本気でぶつかり合うという成長プロセスは重要である。そのためにキャンプは，社会適応のための有用性の概念から自由である必要がある。スタッフもまた，最大限自分を出し切る中で成長できる。組織キャンプとグループセラピーは本質的な部分を共有しており，今後子どもの成長に新たな視点をもたらすことが期待される。
This study examined how organizational camp contributes to children’s psychological growth. An expert in organized camps and clinical psychologists who practice camps for maladjusted children collaborated to identify and discuss the growth-promoting features of camp. Children living in today’s urbanized society lack the experience to release the built-in mechanism by which humans perceive and cope with danger in natural environment. This is facilitated through living together in nature, free from the constraints of everyday life and absorbed in the camp program. It also provides an “emerging oneself ” experience. The growth process is crucial, where children, based on forming trustful relationships including clashes with others, experience “oneself emerging.” For this reason, camp needs to be free from the concept of usefulness for social adjustment. Staff members can also grow in being themselves to the fullest extent. Organizational camp and group therapy share the same essential foundations and are expected to bring a new perspective to children’s growth.departmental bulletin pape
