Integrated reservior analysis of the oligocene, frio formation 10-A reservoir sand at Rita Field, Kenedy County, Texas
No full textThe hydrocarbon accumulation in the Frio (Oligocene) 10-A Reservoir at Rita Field was discovered in 1962 with the Humble Oil & Refining (later Exxon), Mrs. S. K. East 15. The 10-A Reservoir Sand was discovered with 12 ft of oil/gas and averages about 90 ft thick across the 470-acre productive area. Cumulative production for the 10-A is 1.25 billion cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas and 303 million barrels of oil (mbo). Headington Energy Partners has drilled four wells for the 10-A reservoir since 2008 with disappointing results for three of them despite positive log indications, hydrocarbon “shows” while drilling, and borehole pressure measurements.
This research uses structural, reservoir engineering, drilling, and completion practice data to understand the Rita 10-A Reservoir’s potential hydrocarbon productivity. Additionally, the seismic data available is used to identify any untapped oil and gas accumulations. Two locations are suggested for future drilling efforts. The first location is based off extensive well data and is located centrally in the highly developed Rita Field. A well in this location has an 86% chance of success and a return on investment ratio of 5.5:1 in a majority gas case and 16:1 in a majority oil case. The second location is identified solely with seismic imaging data and has a 53% chance of success with a return on investment ratio of 3.6:1 in a gas case and 10.7:1 in an oil case. This accumulation is newly discovered in the 10-A and has never been drilled before

The Southern study in Edinburg schools
No full textEdinburg is the county seat of Hidalgo County, Texas. It has a population of between six and seven thousand, and is located in an agricultural community. The chief products are citrus fruits, vegetables, and cotton. Ranching, canning, fruit packing, and related industries are carried on.
The first organised school in Edinburg was opened in 1909. The high school was organised in 1917, with twenty-four students. In 1920, the high school had enough affiliated credits to meet college entrance requirements. It was admitted to the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools in 1924. In 192, junior and senior high divisions were organised, and in 1927 the junior college was established

No full textThe period of history from 1870 to 1900 saw a new America in the making. The years after the Civil War brought many changes in culture, in political theory, and in literature and arts in America. The spirits of social reform followed close upon the changing order and established a new culture in society--"the culture," as V.I. Parrington puts it, "of an urbanized and mechanised society that, in its vast warrens of business, was creating the psychology and manners of standardized, middle-class world of salesmanship. Parrington's label for the period, primarily because of the manner in which favoritism was bestowed by the government on representatives of finance, is "The Great Barbeque." The influence of this background changing conditions on the traditional development of American literature was such as to bring forth a new literature.
