    PRODUKSI DAN ANALISIS AGAROSA DARI RUMPUT LAUT JENIS Gracilaria sp. ASAL KABUPETEN TAKALAR

    Has been done attempt production and analisis of agarose from seaweed Gracilaria sp. of Takalar Regency, with aim to produce agarose and analysis physicochemical properties such as viscosity, yield value, and characterized fungsional groups of agarose with Spectra Infra Red (IR). The result attempt showed that 10 gram of seaweed Gracilaria sp. yield 1,434 gram agarose, and if agarose in colloid solution 1% at 80oC had the viscosity 15,2 cP and the yield value 0,039 dyne cm-, while IR spectra obtained the hydroxyl group (OH) with hydrogen bonding in the region 3455.10 cm-1, the hydrocarbon group (C-H) in the region 1455.77 cm-1 and the  ethers group (C-O) in the region 1077.32 cm-1.     The research concerning antimitotic assay of “Sisik Naga” (Drymoglossum piloselloides [L] Presl) ethanol extract  using Tripneustes gratilla Linn eggs cleavage inhibition method had been conducted. The aim of this study was to evaluate which the extract of that provide higher effect in to inhibit cell division of fertilized sea urchin eggs. Quantivication of division was performed visually by light microscopy by counting the number of cleaveaged and non cleaveaged embryos after an incubation time of  ± 2 hours. If 80 – 100% inhibition of cleavage (IC80-100) occurs at ≤ 16 mg/ml, the compound is considered to be active as antimitotic assay.Key word : Antimitotic, Drymoglossum piloselloides, vinkristi

    Telah dilakukan penelitian formulasi minyak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa L.) sebagai obat kumur dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh formula sediaan obat kumur yang  memiliki aktivitas antimikroba yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Pada penelitian ini dirancang formula dengan menggunakan tiga variasi konsentrasi minyak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa L.) yaitu 0,75%, 1,5%, dan 2,25% kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pengujian aktivitas antimikroba terhadap bakteri Streptococcus mutans dengan menggunakan metode difusi agar. Hasil analisis statistika dari setiap perbandingan antara formula dengan minyak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa L.) diperoleh zona hambatan untuk konsentrasi 0,75%, 1,5%, dan 2,25% memberikan hasil yang tidak berbeda nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga formula tersebut memiliki aktivitas antimikroba yaitu dapat menghambat bakteri Streptococcus mutans dengan daya hambat terbesar pada konsentrasi 2,25%.Kata kunci :  Minyak biji jintan hitam, obat kumu

    FORMULASI SALEP EKSTRAK METANOL DAUN SRIKAYA (Annona squamosa L) DENGAN BERBAGAI VARIASI BASIS

    This research methanol extract srikaya leaf performed to formulate ointments in bases variation that were hydrocarbon base, absorption base, water-soluble and emultion base. The aim was to determine which one the most stable base contain the methanol extract srikaya leaf. Stability evaluation maked in two condition were before and after stress condition at 5oC – 35oC for 10 cycles, by which the parameters were organoleptic observation, viscosity measurement, and yield value determination. Result of organoleptic showed that there was not alteration in color, smell, and consistency of those four bases, before and after stress conditioned. Statistyc data analyse of viscosity measurement showed that formula in absorption base was the stable one due to no alteration before and after accelerated condition. Yield value showed that there was thixotrophy plastic flowing exhibited by rheogram. And of those four formula ointment types of methanol extract srikaya leaf (Annona squamosa L) that have been made in, absorption base was the most stability optimum base. Key words: srikaya leaf, ointment, formulatio

    PENGEMBANGAN TARGET TERAPI PADA HEPATITIS C

    For the development of new, specific anti-HCV drugs, an understanding of the HCV life cycle in particular the genomic organization and polyprotein processing, is essential. It has resulted in the development of several agents that target specific stages of the life cycle, the so-called specifically targeted antiviral therapy for HCV (STAT-C) drugs. Potential processes for viral inhibition include virus entry into the host cell, proteolytic processing, RNA replication, and the assembly and release of the new virions. Among the most promising new agents in development are the protease and polymerase inhibitors, as discussed below. RNA-targeted therapies, such as antisense oligonucleotides, ribozymes and small interfering RNA (siRNA)-targeting structures, have shown substantial success at inhibiting the HCV life cycle in vitro, but not in vivo. The structural viral envelope proteins E1 and E2, as well as their assembly, represent other potentialantiviral targets. Analogous to a recently developed HIV cell fusion inhibitor, detailed understanding of HCV cell fusion and cell entry could permit the development of specific HCV entry inhibitors.Key Word : HCV, Antiviral, Target Specifi

    Seaweed are one of resource foreign exchange of state and earning source for coastal area society. Besides can be used direct upon which food, some result processing of seaweed like gelatinous, carrageenan and alginate represent the compound which important enough in industry. A lot of research proving that seaweedis substance of food which important, like some among other thing is anticancer, antioxidant, preventing kardiovaskular, and as diet food. As for content of chemistry compound anticipated by a sharing to cause the effect is compound polyphenol. Referring to above the mentioned, and to know furthermore hit the content polyphenol in Sargassum sp seaweed, is hence done by analysis research polyphenol in Sargassum sp seaweed. This research benefit is to give the erudite evidence and information about existence of content polyphenol of Sargassum sp seaweed. This research is done by using method of spectrofotometric UV-Visibel and as reagent used by Folin Ciocalteu and Na2CO3 yield the blue colour, then read by absorbance at 670 nm. As standard condensation used by tannat acid with the concentration 0,25; 0,5; 1,0; 2,0; 4,0; and 8,0 ppm. From research result indicate that the Sargassum sp seaweed contain the polyphenol with the rate polyphenol of Sargassum sp I as much 0,077 mg/100 g and Sargassum sp II as much 0,071mg/100 g.Key Words : Polifenol, Sargassum sp, Spectrofotometric UV-Vi

    The herb Daun sendok (Plantago mayor L.) traditionally used by people as medicine for treatment of diarrhea. The plants spread widely in south sulawesi area as decoratif herb so that is easy earning and developed as antidiarrhea medicine from natural product. The research of antidiarrhea with transit intestinal method on mices (Mus musculus). The mices is grouped by rawu method to five group. Group I is a control by NaCl fisiologis,  group II is a comparator by Loperamid-HCl, group III, IV, and V as examination each 1%, 1,5%, dan 2%. The research conclude that ekstract with concentration 2 % having activity is more potent than the loperamid-HCl, concentration 1,5% has equal activity with the loperamid-HCl and concentration 1% having below activity than the loperamid-HCl.Key words: Plantago mayor L, Antidiarrhea, Loperamid-HC

    Research of antimicrobial activity assay of mimba leaves (Azadirachta indica A.Juss) the pleminary research has been done by screening test several microbes such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus mutans, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudmonas aeruginosa, Salmonella thyposa, Escherchia coli, Vibrio sp and  Candida albicans, to the methanol, ether, and n-Butanol extract of mimba leaves (Azadirachta indica A.Juss) in consentration 1 mg/ml. The result showed that the ether extract inhibited bacterial growth actively of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Antimicrobe potency assessment on ether extract of mimba leaves (Azadirachta indica A.Juss) has done by liquid-liquid dilution methode to find out the MIC value in consentration 10 mg/ml; 5 mg/ml; 1 mg/ml; 0.5 mg/ml and 0.1 mg/ml respectively which continue on solidified medium ti find out the MLC to predict the compound group in other extract which antimicrobe activity it was done bioautography TLC. The best result has been obtained from separating compound by TLC methode which used mixed eluen n-Hexane : Ethyl Acetate (6:4). The result showed that MIC could not be determined due to the turbidity of test solution, whilw manimum MLC of ether extract of mimba leaves (Azadirachta indica A.Juss) 10 mg/ml toward Staphylococcus aureus nor Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Bioautography TLC test on Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa showed that the compound group which predicted to impart the antimicrobe activity to the ether extract of mimba leaves (Azadirachta indica A.Juss) was alkaloid.Key words : Azadirachta indica, Bioautography TLC, antimicrob

    A research of effervescent granule has been done of ethanol extract of eugenia leaf in variation of acid and carbonate sources as well as lactose as the adsorbent. The ratio between extract and lactose were 1 : 0,5, 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 resepectively in formula A, B, C. This aim was determine the best pharmaceutic properties of granule. The evaluation carried out by organoleptic, lost of drying, angle of repose, flowbility, porosity, and dispersibility analyse by block random design showed that formula (has the lowest lost of drying than formula B and A). Formula C has the highest flowbility. Mean while in dispersibility exhibited formula C was the slowest one. Conclusion that might be draw that formula C in ratio 1 : 2 has  the best pharmaceutics properties.Key words : Eugenia polyanthum Weight, effervescent, formulatio
