Convergences between design attitude and strategic design: a theoretical model proposition
Get PDFThis study aims to identify and discuss the relationship between the design attitude concept and the strategic design approach. Strategic design attitudes were analyzed in organizational contexts to reflect on who is the strategic designer and what characterizes him as a being capable of designing organizational strategies. This work is based on Michlewski's design attitude model (2015), debated and analyzed from the experts' point of view (PhD researchers who investigate strategic design). Innovating the scenario of scientific publishing in design: designing “living publications”
Get PDFThis article presents an ongoing research project aiming at innovating the modalities and formats of scientific and academic publication of design research.
The digital transformation and the open access paradigm have a considerable impact on the circulation of high-quality scientific production at global level: the challenge is to achieve innovative forms of authoritative, high-impact and effective scholarly communication, pursued with a multiscale and mixed media strategy, in order to guarantee an extended impact, while maintaining rigour and authority.
In this context the scientific publication of design is taking on new forms and objectives too, so the design discipline can be a pivotal field for the experimentation and discussion of new scientific publication formats for scientific research.
The article presents the proposal of Living Publications, that, stemming from a case studies research, supports the envisioning of future scenarios of scientific publishing and the development of the features of an experimental prototype in the design domain
The Roles of Empathetic Competency and Participative Design in Organizational Stakeholder Relationships
Get PDFThe objective of the present article was to encounter empirical evidence of the use that companies make of the empathetic competency and participative design for relationship development with their interest groups. Empirical comparison occurred by way of a case study in a Colombian family business group composed of three companies. A mixed research design was applied, using a questionnaire to measure the use of empathy, as was an in-depth interview, to learn the use of participative design in stakeholder relationships. Results show acceptable use of the empathetic competency, and that the participative approach, characteristic of design, is partially employed, although the upper level of co-creation is not achieved. It is concluded that, if the empathetic competency is not made to form the base of the participative approach, organization relational capital is wasted. Further, companies may improve stakeholder relationships if they are able to apply participative design methodologies, techniques, and tools, as these reduce resistance to change, and improve the work environment, leadership, and productivity.
Precedentes e argumentação: dificuldades enfrentadas pelo supremo tribunal federal na fundamentação de suas decisões
Get PDFO estudo, tendo como marco teórico Dworkin, a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica, analisa as principais dificuldades enfrentadas pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) quanto à fundamentação de suas decisões, especialmente no que tange ao uso dos precedentes e da doutrina nos casos difíceis, sugerindo aperfeiçoamentos. Inicialmente, em sede introdutória, destaca a importância da fundamentação das decisões da Corte para o respeito aos precedentes judiciais e para legitimidade do tribunal. Após, salienta a necessidade de construção de uma argumentação íntegra, trazendo breves apontamentos sobre a teoria de Dworkin do direito como integridade e sua metáfora do romance em cadeia. Para então, estudar algumas dificuldades enfrentadas pelo STF na fundamentação de suas decisões, as quais perpassam a inexistência de uma linha argumentativa sólida entre as decisões, a tendência de aplicação das decisões anteriores como se regra fossem, o uso de argumentos de autoridade e os impactos da adoção pela Corte de uma argumentação marcada pelo academicismo, beletrismo, maximalismo e cosmopolitismo. Por fim, especialmente com base na teoria de Dworkin, sugere aprimoramentos para a forma de fundamentação das decisões do STF
Constitutional theory and the limits to the punitive power: the Italian case of prisoners’ right to judicial protection
Get PDFThe growing attention of the Italian Constitutional Court and the European Court of human rights for the judicial protection of prisoners’ rights has placed the prison problem at the centre of the theoretical debate on penalty, after it has always been relegated to an administrative problem. The article, starting from the analysis of the complex hermeneutical operation carried out by the Courts, proposes a theory of the relationship between punitive power and the individual based on a new balance between the opposite paradigms of social defence and the protection of individual rights. Initially this balance was identified by the Courts in the theory of re-education, interpreted reductively as a doctrine of humanization of the punitive power. In more recent years, in response to the re-emergence of neoliberal retributive doctrines, this approach has been integrated with an articulated constitutional theory which invokes the constitutional fundamental rights of the individual as a limit to the punitive power. What emerges is a constitutional theory of punitive power that attempts, partially succeeding, to resolve some theoretical limits of liberal utilitarianism
Sentidos de trabalho coletivo na formação continuada de professores/as de língua portuguesa: linguagem, interação e desenvolvimento profissional docente
Get PDFEste artigo tem como objetivo principal analisar traços/pistas linguageiras de desenvolvimento profissional docente em verbalizações de uma professora de língua portuguesa a partir de sua participação em uma comunidade de desenvolvimento profissional. Para tanto, desenvolveu-se uma pesquisa-ação que acompanhou essa professora de língua portuguesa ao longo de um percurso formativo de quatro anos (2018-2022), cujo mote principal foi, a partir do desenvolvimento de projetos didáticos de gênero, contribuir para a renovação do ensino de língua portuguesa e a reconfiguração de práticas docentes no contexto de uma rede municipal de ensino da região metropolitana de Porto Alegre (RS). Os dados que compõem o corpus da pesquisa, analisados principalmente à luz do Interacionismo Sociodiscursivo, enfocaram os tipos de discurso e os mecanismos de responsabilização enunciativa, a partir dos quais foi possível observar que a alternância de papéis vivenciada pela professora participante da pesquisa suscitou o debate interpretativo, a tomada de consciência e a (potencial) reconfiguração do agir docente, movimentos importantes para o desenvolvimento individual e, também, para a consolidação de uma comunidade de desenvolvimento profissional docente. Concluiu-se que o coletivo é um elemento potente para o desenvolvimento profissional docente, considerando que é na interação social que nos constituímos como indivíduos e podemos, também, (re)significar a dimensão profissional de nosso agir.

No full textApresentamos uma revisão de literatura a respeito de uma investigação corrente acerca de questões éticas que afetam profissionais de redação em plataformas, a partir da perspectiva do mercado publicitário. Sendo assim, reunimos os principais achados da etapa de pesquisa da pesquisa, que compreende teses e dissertações, além de artigos publicados em anais de eventos e periódicos, sobre as temáticas do trabalho freelancer e a plataformização do trabalho (Grohmann, 2021) na publicidade. Notamos como a plataformização perpassa a rotina laboral a partir dos seus modelos de negócio digitais e colaborativos, gerando transformações no consumo e fragmentações nas identidades de redatores. Tal cenário revela contradições no sujeito, que é interpelado pelos discursos do empreendedorismo (Casaqui, 2018) e pela ilusão de liberdade na atividade criativa.In this article, we present a literature review concerning a current investigation about ethical issues that affect copywriting professionals on platforms, from an advertising market perspective. Therefore, we assembled the main findings from its research, which comprehends theses and dissertations, as well as articles published in annals of events, and journals regarding themes concerning freelance work and the platformization (Grohmann, 2021) in the field of advertising. We observe how platformization perpasses work routine through its digital and collaborative business models, resulting in consumption changes and fragmentation of copywriters’ identities. Such context reveals the subject’s contradictions, which is constrained by entrepreneurship discourses (Casaqui, 2018) and the illusion of freedom in creativity
Teaching Brazilian Portuguese as an additional language from a decolonial perspective: From the recognition of norma curta as an expresion of coloniality to Bortoni-Ricardo's continua proposal
Get PDFO fato de não termos ainda conseguido nos desvencilhar de uma ideologia que cultua uma norma-padrão anacrônica demonstra como as nossas concepções de língua seguem impregnadas de colonialidade. Procuramos demonstrar aqui que a ideologia da norma curta (Faraco, 2004, 2008, 2015b) é um dos nossos expoentes do padrão de poder colonial (Quijano, 2000, 2005), devendo, portanto, ser identificada, delimitada, para que possa assim ser enfrentada. Propomos desprendê-la do nosso ensino de português língua adicional (PLA) por meio da extensão dos contínuos de Bortoni-Ricardo (2004, 2005) ao âmbito, trazendo a sócio-história de formação do português brasileiro à sala de aula de PLA (o conhecimento das causas) e proporcionando como modelo de referência linguística a fala de quem se encontra às margens.
Palavras-chave: colonialidade; sociolinguística aplicada à educação; português língua adicional.The fact that we have not yet managed to free ourselves from an ideology that cultivates an anachronistic standard-norm demonstrates how our conceptions of language are still impregnated with coloniality. We seek to demonstrate here that the ideology of the norma curta (‘short norm’, Faraco, 2004, 2008, 2015b) is one of our exponents of this pattern of colonial power (Quijano, 2000, 2005), and that it must, therefore, be identified, delimited, so that it can be confronted. We propose to detach it from our teaching of Portuguese as an additional language, by extending Bortoni-Ricardo's (2004, 2005) continua to this area of studies, bringing the socio-history of Brazilian Portuguese (the knowledge of the causes) to the classroom, and providing as a legitimate model of linguistic reference the speech of those on the margins
