Queer Representation in the Novels of Sophie Gonzales
No full textTato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem queer reprezentance v románech Only Mostly Devasted (2020) a If This Gets Out (2021) napsané australskou autorkou Sophie Gonzales. Cílem této práce je prokázat důležitost a relevantnost různorodé reprezentace v románech pro mládež ve spojení se škodlivými stereotypy, homofobií a toxickou maskulinitou. První část bakalářské práce je věnována definování queer literatury a literatury pro mládež a jejich historii. Druhá část této práce prokazuje svůj účel analýzou zvolených románů Sophie Gonzales, queer postav, témat, a relevantních společenských témat, které jsou v nich ve spojení s těmito postavami vyobrazeny.This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of queer representation in the novels Only Mostly Devasted (2020) and If This Gets Out (2021) written by Australian author Sophie Gonzales. The aim of this thesis is to prove the importance and relevance of diverse representation in young adult literature in relation to harmful stereotypes, homophobia and toxic masculinity. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to defining the queer and young adult literature and the brief overview of its history. The second part of this thesis proves its purpose by analysing selected novels by Sophie Gonzales, the queer characters and themes and relevant social topics associated with the characters that are depicted in them.Ústav moderních jazyků a literatu

No full textTato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou trestné činnosti cizinců pobývajících na území České republiky a možným efektem této činnosti na její vnitřní bezpečnost. Pro potřeby této práce bude analyzován vývoj trestné činnosti páchané cizinci mezi roky 2016 až 2023. Téma kriminality cizinců je citlivé, ale diskutované téma, zejména ve spojení s migrací, kdy právě příchozí lidé mohou mít neúměrně velký podíl na páchané kriminalitě v dané zemi. Kromě vyjádření samotného podílu na registrované kriminalitě bude rozvedena i činnost příslušníků cizích mocností na území České republiky, která je proti bezpečnostním, politickým a ekonomickým zájmům České republiky.This bachelor´s thesis deals with the issue of criminal activity of foreigners residing in the territory of the Czech Republic and the possible effect of this activity on its internal security. For the purposes of this thesis, the development of criminal activity commited by foreigners between 2016 and 2023 will be analyzed. The topic of criminality of foreigners is a sensitive but discussed topic, especially in connection with migration, when it is precisely incoming people who can have a disproportionately large share of the crime commited in a given country. In addition to expressing the share of registred crime itself, this thesis will expand on the activities of members of foreign powers in the territory of the Czech Republic, which are against the security, political and economic interests of the Czech Republic.Ústav ochrany obyvatelstv
The Concept of Identity in Immigrant Discourse
No full textTato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na koncept identity v diskurzu jihoasijských imigrantů v USA. Práce zkoumá, jak se identita utváří v multikulturně rozmanitém světě, a jak je ovlivněna procesem imigrace. Pomocí kritické diskurzivní analýzy je analyzováno osm blogů indických imigrantů žijících v USA. Jazyk, kterým imigranti hovoří o svých zkušenostech, je zkoumán za účelem odhalení společenských nerovností a pochopení toho, jak imigranti vnímají svou vlastní identitu. Výsledky poukazují na to, jak je koncept identity konstruován a zpochybňován v imigrantském a multikulturním prostředí.This bachelor's thesis focuses on the concept of identity in South Asian immigrant discourse in the USA. The thesis explores how the identity is negotiated in a multiculturally diverse world and how it is influenced by the process of immigration. Eight blogs of Indian immigrants living in the USA are analysed from the critical discourse analysis perspective. The analysis focuses on the language used by immigrants to talk about their experiences in order to uncover social wrongs and mainly to understand how immigrants perceive their own identity. Possibilities of Using Artificial Intelligence in Humanitarian Mapping
No full textTato diplomová práce se zabývá evaluací možností využití umělé inteligence (AI) v humanitárním mapování. S ohledem na rostoucí potřebu efektivního mapování a monitorování oblastí postižených různými humanitárními krizemi, je zkoumáno, jak AI může přispět ke zlepšení procesů mapování a analýzy. Práce se zaměřuje na případy z praxe, a analyzuje, jak AI může posílit schopnost humanitárních organizací při mapování v postižených oblastí. Metodologie zahrnuje hodnocení současných přístupů a nástrojů AI, analýzu dat a technologií používaných v humanitárním mapování a aplikaci AI ve vybraných případech. Výsledky práce poskytují ucelený pohled na možnosti využití AI v humanitárním mapování a doporučení pro další výzkum a praxi.This diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in humanitarian mapping. In response to the growing need for effective crisis mapping, the study analyzes how AI tools can improve mapping accuracy, speed, and decision-making in humanitarian contexts. The work is based on practical testing of AI-assisted tools, with special focus on the open-source fAIr platform, compared to traditional manual mapping using JOSM. Standardization of Basic Training in Skydiving

Prostřednictvím analýzy stávajících metod a strukturovaných rozhovorů s instruktory byla vytvořena doporučená osnova výcviku, která reflektuje moderní trendy v tomto sportu. Výsledky studie mohou sloužit jako podklad pro sjednocení metodiky výcviku a optimalizaci přípravy nových parašutistů.This thesis focuses on the standardization of parachuting static line training with the aim of increasing its efficiency and safety. Through the analysis of existing methods and structured interviews with instructors, a recommended training syllabus was developed, reflecting modern trends in the sport. No full textDiplomová práce se zabývá jaderným ohrožením z historického i současného pohledu, se zaměřením na modelování dopadů jaderných výbuchů v Jihomoravském kraji ČR. V teoretické části jsou popsány události studené války, zejména rok 1983, kdy došlo k několika nebezpečným situacím s rizikem jaderné eskalace. Praktická část využívá nástroj Nukemap k simulaci účinků různých typů jaderných zbraní, jejichž dopady jsou porovnány s historickými výpočtovými metodami. Výsledky ukazují zranitelnost regionu a potřebu zohlednit jadernou hrozbu v ochraně obyvatelstva.The thesis deals with nuclear threats from both historical and current perspectives, focusing on modeling the impacts of nuclear explosions in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes events from the Cold War, particularly the year 1983, which saw several dangerous situations with the risk of nuclear escalation. The practical part uses the Nukemap tool to simulate the effects of various types of nuclear weapons, comparing the results with historical calculation methods. The Influence of the Vulcanization System on the Ozone Stability of Rubber
No full textCílem diplomové práce bylo sledovat ozonovou stabilitu pryže na bázi přírodního kaučuku optimalizací vulkanizačního systému. Byly použity tři běžně používané typy urychlovačů TBBS, MBTS a TMTD v širokém rozsahu koncentrací. Teoretická část pojednává o přírodním kaučuku, skladbě směsí s důrazem na vulkanizační systémy, vlastní přípravě směsí a samozřejmě odolností vůči ozonu. Praktická část práce se zabývá výrobou směsí a zkušebních těles a provedením vlastního stárnutí v ozonu a následného srovnání vybraných mechanických vlastností (zkouška tvrdosti a zkouška v tahu). Ozonové zkoušky byly provedeny za následujících podmínek: koncentrace ozonu 50 pphm, teplota 40 a relativní vlhkost 50 % po dobu celkem 96 h. Degradace vzorků byla hodnocena pomocí digitálního mikroskopu a následnou analýzou vzniknuté povrchové plochy v softwaru Matlab. Bylo prokázáno, že vhodnou volbou vulkanizačního systému se dají kontrolovat nejen mechanické vlastnosti, ale i dokáže zmírnit následky působení ozonů na kaučukové výrobky.An objective of Master's Thesis was to monitor the ozone stability of rubber compounds on the basis of natural rubber by optimizing the vulcanization system. Three commonly used accelerators - TBBS, MBTS, and TMTD - were utilized in a wide range of concentrations. The theoretical part discusses natural rubber, the composition formulation with an emphasis on vulcanization systems, the preparation of the mixtures, and of course, resistance to ozone. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the production of mixtures and test specimens, the execution of an actual ozone aging, and the subsequent comparison of selected mechanical properties (hardness test and tensile test). Ozone tests were carried out under the following conditions: ozone concentration of 50 pphm, temperature of 40 , and relative humidity of 50 % for a total duration of 96 h. The degradation of the samples was evaluated using a digital microscope and subsequent analysis of the appeared surface area in Matlab software. It was demonstrated that by choosing an appropriate vulcanization system, it is possible not only to control mechanical properties, but also to mitigate the effects of ozone exposure on natural rubber products.Ústav inženýrství polymer

No full textDiplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu krizové dokumentace obce s rozšířenou působností. Orgány krizového řízení mají klíčovou úlohu při zvládání mimořádných událostí nebo krizových situací a mezi efektivní nástroje patří krizová dokumentace. Tato práce poskytuje komplexní přehled o zpracované krizové dokumentaci obce s rozšířenou působností, spolupráci orgánů krizového řízení. Seznamuje s činností krizového štábu, představuje etapy krizového řízení a návaznost na vyhlášení některého z krizových stavů. Výzkum je založen na analýze, indukci, komparaci, kvantitativní analýze dokumentů, pozorováních, dotaznících, syntéze a dedukci. Výsledky ukazují na značný potenciál ke zlepšení obsahu karty obce, což vyúsťuje v návrh její optimalizace. Práce přispívá k efektivnímu zvládání mimořádných událostí a krizových situací na území obce.The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the crisis documentation of the municipality with extended powers. Crisis management authorities have a key role in managing emergencies or crisis situations, and crisis documentation is one of the most effective tools. This thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the processed crisis documentation of the municipality with extended powers, cooperation of crisis management authorities. It introduces the activities of the Crisis Staff, presents the stages of crisis management and the connection to the declaration of one of the crisis states. The research is based on analysis, induction, comparison, quantitative analysis of documents, observations, questionnaires, synthesis and deduction. The results show considerable potential for improving the content of the municipality card, which results in a proposal for its optimization. Cílem práce je analyzovat komunikační nástroje značky, zjistit, jak je značka vnímaná její cílovou skupinou, a na základě zjištěných poznatků navrhnout projekt ke zlepšení marketingové komunikace. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na fashion marketing, marketingovou komunikaci a využití komunikačního mixu v módním odvětví. Přestavena jsou i témata influencer marketing a online marketing. V praktické části práce je představena značka Adolphinata a její dosavadní využití komunikačního mixu. Dále je v praktické části realizován kvantitativní a kvalitativní výzkum. Na základě zjištění z provedených výzkumů je v projektové části navrhnuta komunikační kampaň pro značku Adolphinata.This diploma thesis deals with the marketing communication of the fashion brand Adolphinata. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the brand's communication tools, identify how the brand is perceived by its target audience, and, based on the findings, propose a project to improve its marketing communication. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on fashion marketing, marketing communication, and the use of the communication mix in the fashion industry. The topics of influencer marketing and online marketing are also presented. The practical part introduces the Adolphinata brand and its current use of the communication mix. Furthermore, both quantitative and qualitative research are conducted in this section. The use of Sexism and Female Nudity in Advertising to Attract Attention
No full textDiplomová práce pojednává především o využívání sexismu a polonahých či nahých ženských těl v reklamě, ale i o postavení a roli žen v reklamě. Práce analyzuje způsoby, jakými jsou ženy v reklamách prezentovány, a identifikuje různé formy sexismu využívané v reklamním průmyslu. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, jak česká veřejnost tyto reklamy vnímá a do jaké míry jejich postoje ovlivňuje pohlaví respondentů. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaký názor na tyto reklamy mají spotřebitelé české společnosti. Výzkum práce je proveden analýzou sekundárních dat a dotazníkovým šetřením v online prostředí. Práce zjišťuje nejen postoje vůči sexistickým reklamám a do jaké míry jsou tyto postoje ovlivněny pohlavím, ale i jak je problematika sexismu v reklamě v České republice reflektována a jakou pozornost jí věnují relevantní instituce a organizace.The thesis primarily examines the use of sexism and the depiction of semi-nude or nude female bodies in advertising, as well as the status and role of women in advertising. It analyzes the ways in which women are presented in advertisements and identifies various forms of sexism utilized in the advertising industry. The aim of the research is to determine how the Czech public perceives such advertisements and to what extent gender influences these perceptions. The study is conducted through the analysis of secondary data and an online questionnaire survey. The thesis not only explores attitudes towards sexist advertisements and the extent to which they are influenced by gender but also examines how the issue of sexism in advertising is reflected in the Czech Republic and the attention it receives from relevant institutions and organizations.Ústav marketingových komunikac
