No full textThis paper reports the psychometric characteristics of the Portuguese version of the Adult Developmental Coordination Disorders/Dyspraxia Checklist (ADC). An independent translation of the questionnaire from the original version into European Portuguese was conducted. The sample consisted of 346 Portuguese adults, aged 18 to 65 years. Analyses were performed using R software (version 4.1.0). Exploratory factor analysis was performed to analyze the factor structure of the ADC scale, and a shorter 32-item version was found, with three new factors related to adaptation and daily life activities, gross motor coordination regarding ludic and physical activities that involve major muscular groups, and fine motor coordination activities. The Portuguese version demonstrated adequate reliability, as measured by internal consistency, item-total correlations, and test-retest reliability. All three factors and total scores were positively correlated with age. Gender differences were only found for the ludic and physical activities factor, with women presenting a higher score (more difficulties). This is a smaller-scale version that has good psychometric properties, making it a suitable alternative to the original scale when applied to Portuguese adults.Este artigo relata as características psicométricas da versão em português europeu da Adult Developmental Coordination Disorders/Dyspraxia Checklist (ADC). Uma tradução independente do questionário da versão original para o português europeu foi realizada. A amostra incluiu 346 adultos portugueses, com idades entre 18 e 65 anos. As análises foram realizadas utilizando o software R (versão 4.1.0). A análise fatorial exploratória foi realizada para analisar a estrutura fatorial da escala ADC e uma versão mais curta, com 32 itens, foi encontrada, com três novos fatores relacionados com adaptação e atividades da vida diária, coordenação motora grossa relacionada com atividades lúdicas e físicas que envolvem grandes grupos musculares e atividades de coordenação motora fina. A versão em português apresenta adequada fiabilidade medida em termos de consistência interna, correlações item-total e fiabilidade teste-reteste. Todos os três fatores e o score total correlacionaram-se positivamente com a idade. Diferenças de género apenas foram encontradas no fator das atividades lúdicas e físicas, com as mulheres a apresentarem um score superior (mais dificuldades). Esta é uma escala mais reduzida que apresenta boas propriedades psicométricas, o que a torna uma boa alternativa à escala original, quando aplicada a adultos portugueses

No full textO futuro das Humanidades? Pensarlas a partir do inhumano
No full textWhat is the future of the traditional activities of human culture known as the Humanities, whose products seem to be losing the central place they have held for centuries in the Western world? Will theory or reflection on human action, both historical and creative, remain exiled only to the university world, distancing itself from the scholastic reality in which young students not only study but are also trained for life? To understand what is happening, it is proposed to introduce the meaning of the historical notion of the Humanities and recognize that it no longer conforms to the social and economic changes that characterize contemporary history. Therefore, it is proposed to consider the creative products of the humanities not based on the classical opposition between "humanity" and "barbarism," or on the more recent return of Vico and Heidegger to the poetic logos as the fundamental expression of human nature. This article proposes an attempt to understand the concept of Humanities from the notion of the “inhuman”, understood as the sensitive foundation of our body that relates to the affective and imaginative power that deeply characterizes us as human beings. In this context, it is possible to make an appropriate reflection on the future of these activities.Qual o futuro das atividades tradicionais da cultura humana conhecidas como Humanidades, cujos produtos parecem estar perdendo o lugar central que ocuparam por séculos no mundo ocidental? A teoria ou a reflexão sobre a ação humana, tanto histórica quanto criativa, permanecerão exiladas apenas no mundo universitário, distanciando-se da realidade escolar na qual os jovens estudantes não apenas estudam, mas também se formam para a vida? Para compreender o que está acontecendo, propõe-se introduzir o significado da noção histórica de Humanidades e reconhecer que ela não se conforma mais às mudanças sociais e econômicas que caracterizam a história contemporânea. Portanto, propõe-se considerar os produtos criativos das Humanidades não com base na oposição clássica entre “humanidade” e “barbárie”, ou no retorno mais recente de Vico e Heidegger ao logos poético como expressão fundamental da natureza humana. Este artigo propõe uma tentativa de compreender o conceito de Humanidades a partir da noção do “inumano”, entendido como o fundamento sensível do nosso corpo que se relaciona com o poder afetivo e imaginativo que nos caracteriza profundamente como seres humanos. Neste contexto, é possível fazer uma reflexão adequada sobre o futuro destas atividades
