In recent years, the far-right has undergone a process of political normalization accompanied by growing electoral success. This phenomenon has its origin, among other causes, in the dissemination of misleading content aligned with the agenda of right-wing extremism through the Internet. The objective of this research is to analyze the characteristics of the disinformation linked to the agenda of the far-right through digital platforms. To do this, a nine-variable content analysis is applied to the 804 denials published in this regard by verifiers accredited by the International Fact-Checking Network: Maldito Bulo (419 denials), Newtral (164 denials), EFE Verifica (159 denials) and Verificat (61 denials). The results show that falsehoods aligned with the far-right agenda are disseminated mainly through social networks, especially open ones, with a preponderance of Twitter and Facebook. The predominance of hoax as a discursive strategy when sharing misinformation is also evident; issued by troll accounts; with basic multimedia formats and led by the political class with negative attribution. Sebastianist traces in Northern Europe: the case of Der Spanische Quintana (1686-1687) by Werner Happel
Eberhard Werner Happel wrote one of his European historical novels, which aimed to transport the reader to southern latitudes, in late 17th-Century Hamburg. The first character to be introduced in Der spanische Quintana (1686-1687), however, is not a Spaniard, but a Portuguese, Rotalino. After being enslaved, he has a conversation with his mistress, a Turkish widow, about the fate of D. Sebastião I, his reappearance in Venice and the integration of Portugal into the Spanish Monarchy. The following paper analyses the sebastianist elements present in the novel and reconstructs the sources on which it is based. By doing so, it illustrates the international circulation of ideas and information during the Early Modern Age.
Heritage Defense Associations (ADP) actions are analyzed during the affirmation of the democratic regime in Portugal, between 1974 and 1985, as well as the relationship between them and governmental entities, in the pursuit of a policy for cultural heritage in Portugal. An historical continuity of action is demonstrated in the search for an integration into the organs and instruments of governance. After 1974, the critical capital existing in the associations was recognized by the governments, and this argument was used by ADP to support their participation in the definition of models and strategies for heritage, based on their relationship with communities. It is argued that the relationship between government entities and ADP was not always consensual and concerted and marked by practices of state centralization. In this process the associative contributions were appropriated by the heritage administration in Portugal, but this did not favor the associative movement, which faded away.
Soul as Explanatory Cause of Life in Aristotle: Scientific Knowledge simpliciter (ἁπλῶς) through Coextensive Universal Demonstrations and Context Restriction as a Solution to a Core-Dependent Homonymy from DA II.1-4
The main purpose of this paper is to show, based on Aristotle’s theory of scientific demonstration, how soul plays the role of explanatory cause of life in De Anima (DA) II.1-4. Firstly, I evaluate how, in APo I.2 and II.16, Aristotle requires that universal demonstrations must satisfy a coextensional criterion between a given explanandum (A-term) and its most appropriate explanans (B-term), and that this criterion does not entail a causal symmetry between both those terms. I argue, following Angioni (2014a) and Zuppolini (2018), that, whenever one is before apparent ‘multiple causes’ scenario cases, in which there seems to be more than one possible cause to the same explanandum, one shall still find a unified and fully appropriate explanation of that explanandum. In the second part of this paper, I examine an example from DA II.1-4 in light of APo II.16-17. I argue that soul might be pointed out as the explanatory principle (B) that explains why life (A) belongs to a living body (C). In addition to that, I argue that, although there is a core-dependent homonymy taking place between plants (γ1), animals (γ2) and the nutritive capacity (α1), the nutritive soul (β1) plays the role of an incidental factor (συμβεβηκός) in the context of a scientific demonstration that has by explananda whatsoever attributes (αn) that belong to animals (γ2) qua living beings endowed with a perceptive soul (β1) that explains why attributes (αn) belong to them. The main purpose of this paper is to show, based on Aristotle’s theory of scientific demonstration, how soul plays the role of explanatory cause of life in De Anima (DA) II.1-4. Cidades sustentáveis, verdes, inteligentes, criativas e circulares
The main objective of this article is to enumerate a set of international initiatives for the sustainable growth of Nations, with a special focus on programs to encourage the sustainable development of Cities. Think global and act local is the motto that leads to the sustainable, green, smart, creative, and circular city. The different incentive programs and performance evaluation methodologies are distinguished in the components that are most valued. It is concluded that incentive programs rarely follow the holistic desideratum of the UN SDGs in the social-economic-environmental trilogy and that the “green”, “smart”, “creative” and “circular” designs are dimensions of sustainability, but with purposes that tend towards the particularization of impacts on the environment or the economy.O presente artigo tem como objetivo central elencar um conjunto de iniciativas internacionais para o crescimento sustentável das Nações, com especial enfoque para os programas de incentivo ao desenvolvimento sustentável das Cidades.

Many different analyses have been provided for the use of the tenses and moods in the counterfactual and potential constructions in Greek. So far, however, the actual instances of the counterfactual constructions in Classical Greek have not been studied in detail as to their temporal and/or aspectual meaning. In this article, I use the instances of the modal indicatives of Herodotos, Historiai Book VIII (the preparations for the Battle of Salamis, the Battle itself and its aftermath) as a case study for such an investigation. As this article focuses exclusively on the aspect of the modal indicatives, I will only briefly discuss the aspect in Classical Greek and Herodotos, and will neither treat the relation between aspect and Aktionsart, nor the origins of the counterfactual and past potential constructions. After the overview of the aspect uses, I analyse the passages in which these forms occur and use as Arbeitshypothese that the use of the aorist or imperfect with the modal indicatives is based on aspectual criteria and not on temporal reference. By this I mean that the aorist is not confined to the so-called irrealis of the past and the imperfect to that of the present. If different variants are attested or when it is unclear whether a certain form is modal or not, they will be discussed as well.
Herança clássica no teatro camoniano: géneros, temas e personagens
Camões’ dramatic pieces are of particular importance for understanding and analysing the theatrical production created and performed in the 16th century in Portugal. There are three plays attributed to Luís Vaz de Camões, a small number compared to the works of other playwrights of the time, such as Gil Vicente and António Ferreira. This article aims to present Camões’ theatrical work in the light of the Greco-Latin classical tradition. It will seek to demonstrate how the Portuguese author recovers and recreates ancient models concerning genres, themes, and characters involved in the plots of his plays.O teatro de Camões reveste-se de particular importância para se conhecer e analisar a produção dramática criada e representada no século XVI, em Portugal.
