Analisis Kesiapan Guru IPA/Kimia Terhadap Penerapan Pembelajaran STEM (Science Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) di SMA/SMK/MA Negeri Se Kecamatan Gerung
This study aims to describe the readiness of science/chemistry teachers for the application of STEM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors of science/chemistry teacher readiness for the application of STEM learning. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population of this study is the number of science/chemistry teachers who teach at SMA/SMK/MA Country in District Gerung. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The number of samples was 12 science/chemistry teachers in SMA/SMK/MA Country in District Gerung. Data collection techniques using interview guidelines and questionnaire techniques which have been declared valid and reliable. The results of the research on attitude readiness, emotional readiness, cognitive readiness and behavioral readiness in public SMA/SMK/MA Country in District showed an average gain of 74.04%. This means that the readiness of science/chemistry teachers towards the application of STEM learning is more likely to be ready. Based on this, it can be interpreted that some teachers have implemented STEM learning and have never implemented STEM learning, only to the extent that they are ready to do STEM learning. This readiness is also influenced by supporting factors such as: responsibility, enthusiasm, willingness to adapt, critical thinking, thinking contextually, aware of one's own worth and will, being able to integrate various scientific disciplines, carrying out partnership functions and being good at managing time. While the inhibiting factors are independence and awareness of strengths and weaknesses, this is because some teachers have never participated in STEM learning training and teachers have never tried to apply STEM education in science/chemistry learning. Furthermore, teachers find it difficult to improve their quality in preparation for implementing STEM learning and teachers are not yet proficient in preparing lesson plans that are appropriate to STEM learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskiprisikan kesiapan guru IPA/kimia terhadap penerapan pembelajaran STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) dan mendiskripsikan faktor pendukung dan penghambat kesiapan guru IPA/kimia terhadap penerapan pembelajaran STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah jumlah guru IPA/kimia yang mengajar di SMA/SMK/MA Negeri se Kecamatan Gerung. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Purposive Sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 12 guru IPA/kimia di SMA/SMK/MA Negeri Se Kecamatan Gerung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara dan teknik kuesioner yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliable. Hasil penelitian kesiapan sikap kesiapan Emosional, kesiapan kognitif dan kesiapan perilaku di SMA/SMK/MA Negeri se Kecamatan Gerung menunjukan perolehan rata-rata sebesar 74,04%. Artinya kesiapan guru IPA/kimia terhadap penerapan pembelajaran STEM lebih cenderung siap. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapt disimpulkan bahwa sebagian guru sudah menerapkan pembelajaran STEM dan ada beberapa guru belum pernah menerapkan pembelajaran STEM, hanya sebatas siap akan melakukan pembelajaran STEM. Kesiapan ini juga dipengaruhi faktor pendukung seperti: tanggung jawab, antusias, kemauan beradaptasi, berpikir kritis, berpikir secara kontekstual, sadar akan nilai diri dan kemauan, mampu mengintegrasikan berbagai disiplin keilmuan, menjalankan fungsi kemitraan dan mahir mengatur waktu. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah kemandirian dan sadar akan kekurangan dan kelebihan, hal ini dikarenakan beberapa guru belum pernah mengikuti pelatihan pembelajaran STEM dan guru belum pernah mencoba menerapkan pendidikan STEM dalam pembelajaran IPA/kimia. Selanjutnya guru merasa kesulitan dalam meningkatkan kualitas diri untuk persiapan penerapan pembelajaran STEM dan guru belum mahir dalam menyusun RPP yang sesuai dengan pembelajaran STEM
Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Reels dan Story Instagram pada Materi Pokok Larutan Elektrolit dan Non Elektrolit di SMA Negeri 1 Wawotobi
A study has been conducted on the development of learning media based on reels and instagram stories on the main material of Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions. The purpose of this study. 1). To determine the feasibility of the Instagram application as a learning media on the material of Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions at SMA Negeri 1 Wawotobi. 2). To determine student responses to the Instagram application that has been developed as a learning media on the material of Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions at SMA Negeri 1 Wawotobi. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model. The instruments used are assessment/validation sheets (materials and media), teacher responses and student responses. The research sample was 15 grade XI students. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Learning Media Based on Reels and Instagram Stories have gone through the expert validation test stage with an average overall score of 87.74% (2) The student response questionnaire received a positive response with a percentage of 82.77%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the Instagram application that has been developed as a learning media that has been developed has very good feasibility and high practicality so that it can be used as a support in chemistry learning activities on the material of Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions.Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Reels dan Story Instagram Pada Materi Pokok Larutan Elektrolit dan Non Elektrolit. Tujuan penelitian ini. 1). Untuk mengetahui kelayakan aplikasi Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi Larutan Elektrolit dan Non Elektrolit di SMA Negeri 1 Wawotobi. 2). Untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap aplikasi Instagram yang telah dikembangkan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi Larutan Elektrolit dan Non Elektrolit di SMA Negeri 1 Wawotobi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research & Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar penilaian/validasi (materi dan media), tanggapan guru dan respon peserta didik. Sampel penelitian adalah 15 peserta didik kelas XI-II. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Reels dan Story Instagram telah melalui tahap uji validasi para ahli dengan rata-rata perolehan skor keseluruhan sebesar 87,74% (2) Angket respon peserta didik memperoleh respon positif dengan persentase yang diperoleh yaitu 82,77%. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi Instagram yang telah dikembangkan sebagai media pembelajaran yang di kembangkan memiliki kelayakan yang sangat baik dan kepraktisan yang tinggi sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai penunjang dalam kegiatan pembelajaran kimia pada materi Larutan Elektrolit dan Non Elektrolit
PENINGKATAN KOSA KATA BAHASA INGGRIS ANAK KELOMPOK B MELALUI MEDIA FLASHCARD DI TK ANGGREK TENTE KABUPATEN BIMA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kosa kata Bahasa Inggris anak kelompok B melalui media Flashcard di TK Anggrek Tente Kabupaten Bima. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Prosedur penelitian meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelompok B di Tk Anggrek Tente Kabupaten Bima yang berjumlah 13 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada peningkatan kosa kata bahasa Inggris kelompok B melalui media Flashcard di TK Anggrek Tente Kabupaten Bima. Dalam pelaksanaan pra siklus kemampuan anak mencapai 23% bahwa pelaksanaan pra siklus berada pada kriteria Mulai Berkembang, pada siklus I pelaksanaan tindakan meningkat sebanyak 38% masuk kriteria Berkembang Sesuai Harapan, dan pelaksanaan siklus II mencapai 84% menunjukkan kriteria Berkembang Sangat Baik dan telah mencapai indikator keberhasilan sehingga pelaksanaan penelitian ini dihentikan. Berdasarkan penelitian ini di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa mengalami peningkatan kosa kata bahasa Inggris apabila media Flashcard digunakan dengan baik dan benar maka dapat meningkatkan kosa kata bahasa Inggris anak kelompok B di TK Anggrek Tente Kabupaten Bima
Fabrication of Fe3O4/PEG 4000/Oleic Acid Ferrofluids on Crystal Structure and Magnetic Properties Using Rhee Sumbawa Iron Sand
The fabrication of ferrofluid using Fe3O4 nanoparticles synthesized from Rhee Sumbawa iron sand has been successfully carried out. This fabrication was conducted to study the crystal structure characteristics and magnetic properties of the ferrofluid from Rhee iron sand. The fabrication used the co-precipitation method at room temperature to synthesise Fe3O4 nanoparticles. In contrast, the ferrofluid fabrication employed a magnetic stirrer with the addition of PEG 4000/Oleic Acid as a surfactant. The structure and magnetic characteristics of the Fe3O4/PEG 4000/AO ferrofluid will be investigated in this work. The results of the XRF characterization show an Fe content of 91.73%, indicating that the purity of Fe has been successfully increased using a permanent magnet separation method. The XRD characterization results show the formation of a cubic crystal system with lattice parameters a=b=c = 9.3797 Å, α=β=γ = 90°, and the crystal size obtained from the refinement is 8.42 nm. The TEM characterization results indicate that the morphology of the nanoparticles is spherical with a particle size of 7.34 nm. The VSM characterization results obtained the ferrofluid magnetization value in the 0.08–0.34 emu/g range
Development of Interactive E-Books Based on Problem-Based Learning on the Material of the Earth's Surface Layers
Limited sources of interactive electronic-based teaching materials can result in low cognitive learning outcomes for students, especially in science learning. This study aims to describe the development design and test the feasibility and effectiveness of Interactive E-Books based on Problem Based Learning in improving science learning outcomes in grade V students of SDN Ngijo 01 Semarang City. This research and development (RnD) study uses the Borg and Gall model. Data collection techniques are tests and non-tests, tests with (pre-test and post-test), and non-tests in the form of observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using normality tests, t-tests, and N-Gain. The results of the study indicate that the development design of Interactive E-Books based on Problem Based Learning was successfully developed with the Canva and Flipbook applications, its components such as the main page, foreword, advantages of e-books, table of contents, instructions for use, activity instructions, achievement indicators, concept maps, materials based on Problem-Based Learning syntax, interactive learning videos, LKPD, educational games, and developer profiles. The feasibility of the interactive e-book from material and media experts is very feasible, supported by teacher and student assessments, which also show a very feasible category. The novelty of this study lies in the presentation of material that applies the syntax of the Problem-Based Learning model, which includes stimulus variations, grouping, presentation of results, and reflection, as well as the integration of interactive elements such as images, videos, and sounds. There are interactive edugames to facilitate understanding of the concept of the earth's surface layers. The effectiveness of the E-Book is shown by an increase in value of (15.25) supported by the results of the t-test (0.001) and the N-Gain score of (0.50) in the medium category. The research that has been conducted shows that the conclusion of this study shows that the Interactive E-Book based on Problem Based Learning has been successfully developed, is very feasible, and effective in improving the science learning outcomes of grade V students of SD N Ngijo 01 Semarang City on the material of the earth's surface layers
Development of Interactive Multimedia Based on Problem-Based Learning to Improve Learning Outcomes of Light Properties Material
The use of technology in science learning media is not optimal, causing low learning outcomes for students. This study aimed to develop a design and test the feasibility and effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on Problem-Based Learning to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SDN Pesantren Semarang City. The type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall model. The research subjects were 26 fifth-grade students of SDN Pesantren. Data collection techniques using non-test techniques (observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation) and test techniques (pre-test and post-test). Data analysis techniques used normality test, t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed that the design of Problem-Based Learning-based interactive multimedia development using the Canva application contains the main page, main menu, instructions for use, concept map, Problem-Based Learning-based learning materials, virtual laboratories (Dynamic Labs), learning videos, interactive quizzes (Genially), and developer profiles; the feasibility of Problem-Based Learning-based interactive multimedia from material experts 93.75% very feasible criteria and media experts 92.18% very feasible criteria. The results of the teacher response questionnaire are 100% very feasible criteria and 96.80% student response with very feasible criteria; the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on Problem-Based Learning is shown from the increase in pre-test and post-test scores by 33.65, paired sample t-test results show the significance value (2-tailed) is <0.001 which based on the criteria the value is below 0.05, and the N-gain test results are 0.6913 medium criteria. This study concludes that interactive multimedia based on Problem-Based Learning was successfully developed, very feasible, and effective in improving the learning outcomes of the properties of light material for fifth-grade students of SDN Pesantren Semarang City
Effect of NPK Fertilizer and Vermicompost on The Vegetative Growth of Green Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.)
Plant growth and development require nutrients, which can be provided through fertilization in the form of both inorganic and organic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer, vermicompost, and the combination between the two on the vegetative growth of green eggplant. In this study, a two-factor Complete Random Design was used consisting of NPK fertilizer and vermicompost treatment with each using 5 treatment levels and carried out with 4 replicates. The parameters measured were stem height, number of leaves, leaf area, plant dry weight and plant wet weight. The data obtained was analyzed by the Anova two-way and continued with the DMRT. The results showed that the application of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on all observed growth parameters. The application of vermicompost had a significant effect on all observed growth parameters. The application of a combination of NPK fertilizer and vermicompost had a significant effect on several growth parameters, including plant height, leaf area, dry weight and wet weight of the plant, but did not have a significant on the number of leaves
Effectiveness of Various Botanical Insecticides for Controlling Liriomyza sp. Pests
The use of botanical insecticides presents a promising alternative for controlling Liriomyza sp. pests, which often damage horticultural crops. This study examines the effectiveness of various botanical insecticide materials, such as extracts from neem leaves, tobacco, and other plants containing bioactive compounds like alkaloids and terpenoids. Literature reviews indicate that botanical insecticides work through mechanisms such as feeding inhibition, growth disruption, and increased pest mortality, demonstrating effectiveness comparable to synthetic insecticides. Factors such as concentration, application methods, and environmental conditions influence the efficacy of botanical insecticides. In addition to being environmentally friendly, botanical insecticides offer advantages such as rapid biodegradability and safety for non-target organisms. However, challenges such as low compound stability and the need for more frequent applications remain significant limitations. This study highlights the importance of farmer training to enhance the adoption of this eco-friendly technology in sustainable agricultural practices
A Literature Review: Active Compound Content and Pharmacological Activity of Bitter Melon Plant (Momordica charantia L.) for Health
Bitter melon (Momordica charantia L.) is a climbing plant that has benefits for the community's medicinal system. This review article aims to explore the active compound content and pharmacological activity of the M. charantia plant in the health sector. This study employed a literature review method by gathering data from various references, including journals, books, online articles, and other forms of literature, and summarizing the findings. The bioactive compounds of this plant are triterpenoids, steroids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, polyphenols and glycosides. The bioactive content in the M. charantia plant can be used in the health sector, such as antidiabetic, antibacterial, antioxidant and anticancer. Its traditional uses and modern scientific research highlight its potential as an exploitable resource. The biological effects of M. charantia extract have a direct impact on human health. The results of this review are valuable as they can guide future research on the extraction of bioactive compounds from M. charantia and their potential applications
Effect of Different Feeding on The Growth Rate of Maggots (Hermetia illucens)
Population growth and high consumption patterns have led to increased waste production. This encourages people to look for effective and economically valuable solutions. One potential action that can be taken is to convert organic waste into practical utilization as food for maggot (H. illucens). Maggot (H. illucens) is one of the decomposer organisms that has a fairly high nutritional content. The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact of various feed ingredients, including vegetable waste, rice husk and bran, on the growth rate of larvae (H. illucens). The study was conducted from October to November 2024 in Meurandeh, Langsa Lama, using experimental methodology with a Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) with 6 treatments and 4 repetitions for 21 days. P1: 100% bran, P2: 100% vegetable waste, P3: 100% rice, P4: combination (50% bran + 50% vegetable waste), P5: combination (50% bran + 50% rice), P6: combination (50% bran + 25% vegetable waste + 25% rice. The results showed that treatment A produced the highest absolute biomass of maggots (H. illucens), with an average of 204.25 grams, while treatment B recorded the lowest absolute biomass of maggots (H. illucens), with an average of 157.25 grams. And the highest organic waste composition for maggot length growth (H. illucens) The average length recorded in treatment E was 3.88 cm, while treatment F showed the shortest average length. The Anova results show that different feeding has no significant effect (P>1.112) total weight of biomass maggot (H. illucens), this shows that one of the elements that influence maggot growth is the quality of feed that is rich in protein and normal water content so that it can allow maggot to receive nutrients optimally
