    Potential of Endophytic Bacteria as Biocontrol of Colletotrichum coffeanum F.Noack Fungus Causing Anthracnose in Arabica Coffee (Coffea arabica L.) in Vitro

    Indonesia is the fourth largest coffee producing country in the world. However, Indonesian coffee production has decreased due to disease caused by Colletotrichum coffeanum F.Noack. This research aimed to utilize endophytic bacteria as biocontrol to inhibit growth and development of Colletotrichum coffeanum F.Noack.. The endophytic bacteria used came from the isolation of Arabica coffee plant stems. The isolation results obtained were 5 isolates with different characteristics. Based on the results of the antagonist test, there are 2 out of 5 endophytic isolates that have the potential to inhibit pathogen growth. The results of the largest inhibition zone were 17,18mm in Sp.BS2 and the results of the smallest inhibition zone were 14,98 mm in Sp.BS5. In the growth rate of endophytic bacteria, the largest value is 351 x 1015 in isolate Sp.BS5 in 48 hours and the smallest value is 8 x 105 in isolate Sp.BS5 in 6 hours. In the IAA (Indole Acetic Acid) test results, the largest value is 66.36 ppm in treatment P1J3 (pH 6.5; 72 hours) and the smallest value is 26.89 ppm in treatment P3J3 (pH 7.5; 72 hours). The results of these values indicate that endophytic bacterial isolates from Arabica coffee plant stems have the potential to inhibit the growth of Colletotrichum coffeanum F.Noack

    Demographic Parameters and Growth Projection of Spangled Ebony Langur Population (Trachypithecus auratus) in the Kerandangan Natural Tourism Park Protection Block Through a System Dynamics Approach

    Indonesia is a country with rich biodiversity of flora and fauna, one of which is the langur from the primate family. Langurs are also listed on the 2008 International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) Red List as a primate species classified as vulnerable due to population decline and habitat degradation. Spangled Ebony Langurs play a crucial ecological role, influencing forest regeneration patterns and tree species diversity in their habitat. The purpose of this study was to provide information on demographic parameters and population growth of Spangled Ebony Langurs (Trachypithecus auratus) in Kerandangan Nature Tourism Park. The research method was carried out using the Line Transect method. The results of the study found 2 groups of Spangled Ebony Langurs with a total of 57 individuals. Distribution of structural patterns. Group size ranged from 27 to 30 individuals, with an overall population density of 0.35 individuals per hectare, a sex ratio of 1:8, and a birth rate of 0.26. The total population increased from 57 individuals (Year 1) to 68 individuals (Year 5), with a consistent population increase every year. This simulation assumes a constant birth rate of 26% per year and a death rate of 10% per year. In the fifth year, the population reached 68 individuals, with 2 births and 0 deaths. In conclusion, the langur population is predicted to increase steadily over the next 5 years. In the fifth year, the population is estimated to reach 68 individuals

    Ethnobotany of Minangkabau Culinary and Their Phytochemical Test

    Minangkabau ethnic has rich natural and cultural resources. The Minangkabau ethnic community in Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra, possesses rich traditional knowledge in utilizing local plant species as ingredients in their culinary heritage. This study aimed to document the ethnobotanical use of food plants and examine their phytochemical properties to assess their potential as functional foods. Ethnobotanical data were collected using open-ended interviews and field observations involving key informants from various Nagari (villages) selected using purposive sampling methods. Phytochemical tests were conducted to identify alkaloids, saponins, steroids, tannins, and triterpenoids in the plants used. The study identified 43 plant species belonging to 29 families used as the main ingredients in 20 types of traditional culinary with plant species are dominated by Fabaceae. Leaves were the most frequently used plant parts, followed by fruits, stems, flowers, and tubers. These ingredients were sourced from wild and cultivated plants growing in yards, gardens, and fields. Phytochemical screening of  plants revealed the presence of secondary metabolites including alkaloids (13 species), flavonoids (26), saponins (21), tannins (21), triterpenoids (16), and steroids (8). The findings of our study indicate that traditional Minangkabau food plants are not only culturally significant but also possess medicinal potential, warranting further scientific exploration and conservation of local knowledge

    Optimization of Cream Formula Extract Sargassum Crassifolium Using Varied Concentrations of Glyceryl Monostearate and Triethanolamine Emulgators With The Simplex Lattice Design Method

    Sargassum sp. contains bioactive compounds in the form of phenols that have the potential as sunscreen agents in the ultra category, namely 33.2 ± 3.11. The most commonly used formulation for sunscreen products is cream. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal concentration of glyceryl monostearate and triethanolamine as emulsifiers for Sargassum sp. extract cream, as well as to investigate the physical properties of the optimal Sargassum sp. extract cream formulation. Optimization of the cream formulation was carried out using the Simplex Lattice Design method with Design Expert 13 software, resulting in 8 formulations. The optimal formula obtained was then subjected to physical evaluation, including organoleptic evaluation, homogeneity, and emulsion type. Data analysis used the one-sample t-test method in SPSS version 25. The yield of Sargassum sp. extract was 7.37%. The optimization results showed that the optimal concentration was 7.6% glyceryl monostearate and 0.5% triethanolamine. The optimal cream formulation has good physical properties, namely a soft semi-solid texture, light green color, homogeneity, oil-in-water cream type, pH value of 7.64±0.03, viscosity of 7.626±261.02 cP, adhesive power of 4.37±0.06 seconds, and spreadability of 6.3±0.11 cm. The results of the one-sample t-test statistical analysis of the physical properties of the optimal formulation showed no significant difference from the predicted results, with a confidence level (p>0.05)

    The Influence of Wind Direction and Speed on Rainfall in Bengkulu City (2019-2023) Based on the Schmidt-Fergusson and Wind Rose Models

    Increasingly extreme climate change has increased rainfall intensity and uncertainty of weather patterns in many parts of Indonesia, including Bengkulu City. This phenomenon affects rainfall patterns, the duration of the wet and dry seasons, and wind speed, all of which have an impact on various aspects of life. This study analyzes the effect of wind direction and speed on rainfall in Bengkulu City using the Schmidt-Fergusson, Wind Rose, and Multiple Linear Regression models, based on data from the Fatmawati Soekarno Bengkulu Meteorological Station in 2019-2023. The results of this study indicate that the dominant wind direction comes from the north, northeast, and southeast, with an average speed of 2.47 m/s, categorized as a weak wind according to the Beaufort scale. The highest annual rainfall was recorded in October 2022 at 600 mm. Based on the Schmidt-Fergusson classification, Bengkulu City is included in climate type A with a Q value = 0.1. Regression analysis shows that wind speed has a significant negative effect on rainfall indicating that wind speed has a negative effect, meaning that an increase in wind speed will cause a decrease in rainfall, while humidity has a positive effect, indicating that when air humidity increases, rainfall will also increase. The R² value of 32.7% indicates that the wind, temperature, pressure, and humidity variables explain some of the variation in rainfall. This finding emphasizes the importance of monitoring wind elements in the early warning system for extreme weather and supports hydrometeorological disaster risk mitigation planning in coastal areas vulnerable to climate change

    Proses Berpikir Konektif Mahasiswa dalam Membangun Koneksi Matematika pada Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Kontekstual Bertema Maritim

    Connective thinking is the process of building ideas to solve problems. This happens by connecting concepts and generalizing them to more complex mathematical problems. Connective thinking is also a stage of forming a thinking scheme that links mathematical ideas when building mathematical connections. This study aims to describe students' connective thinking abilities in building mathematical connections in solving contextual problems with a maritime theme. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with three student subjects selected based on different levels of ability. The main instrument is three contextual questions with the theme of ship navigation, which are analyzed through four indicators of connective thinking: cognition, formulation, inference, and reconstruction. The results indicate that high-ability students are able to go through all stages of connective thinking thoroughly and logically. Medium-ability students show an incomplete thinking process, while low-ability students experience difficulties at almost all stages. This study emphasizes the importance of contextual problems that integrates conceptual understanding and reflection to develop students' connective thinking abilities.Berpikir konektif adalah proses membangun ide-ide untuk melakukan penyelesaian masalah. Hal ini terjadi dengan menghubungkan konsep dan menggeneralisasikannya ke masalah matematika yang lebih rumit. Berpikir konektif juga merupakan tahap pembentukan skema berpikir mengaitkan antar ide matematis ketika membangun koneksi matematikaPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir konektif mahasiswa dalam membangun koneksi matematika pada penyelesaian masalah kontekstual bertema maritim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan tiga subjek mahasiswa yang dipilih berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan berbeda. Instrumen utama berupa tiga soal kontekstual bertema navigasi kapal yang dianalisis melalui empat indikator berpikir konektif: kognisi, formulasi, inferensi, dan rekonstruksi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa berkemampuan tinggi mampu menjalani seluruh tahapan berpikir konektif secara menyeluruh dan logis. Mahasiswa berkemampuan sedang menunjukkan proses berpikir yang belum utuh, sedangkan mahasiswa berkemampuan rendah mengalami kesulitan pada hampir seluruh tahap. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya masalah kontekstual yang mengintegrasikan pemahaman konsep dan refleksi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir konektif mahasiswa

    Pengaruh Growth Mindset terhadap Hasil Belajar Materi Teorema Pythagoras melalui Mediasi Self-Efficacy

    This study aims to examine the effect of growth mindset on self-efficacy, as well as its influence on students’ learning outcomes in the Pythagoras' Theorem topic, both directly and indirectly through the mediation of self-efficacy, among eighth-grade students at SMPN 15 Mataram in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto design. The population consisted of 371 students, and a sample of 54 students from classes VIII-B and VIII-G was selected using cluster random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and tests, and analyzed using SPSS software along with the Macro PROCESS Model 4 to test the mediation model. The results showed that 1) growth mindset had a positive and significant effect on students’ self-efficacy (a=0,740, p<0,001); 2) there was no significant direct effect of growth mindset on learning outcomes (c'=0,349, p=0,249); 3) there was a positive and significant indirect effect of growth mindset on learning outcomes through the mediation of self-efficacy (ab=0,930, CI [0,478 to 1,438]), indicating full mediation. Thus, self-efficacy is proven to act as a full mediator in the relationship between growth mindset and students’ learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh growth mindset terhadap self-efficacy, serta pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar pada materi Teorema Pythagoras baik secara langsung maupun melalui mediasi self-efficacy siswa kelas VIII SMPN 15 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex-post facto. populasi penelitian berjumlah 371 siswa, dan sampel sebanyak  54 siswa kelas VIII-B dan VIII-G yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan tes, kemudian dianalisis dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS dan Macro PROCESS model 4 untuk menguji model mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan growth mindset terhadap self-efficacy siswa (a=0,740, p<0,001); 2) tidak terdapat pengaruh langsung signifikan growth mindset terhadap hasil belajar (c'=0,349, p=0,249); 3) terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung positif dan signifikan growth mindset terhadap hasil belajar melalui mediasi self-efficacy (ab=0,930, CI [0,478 s.d. 1,438]), yang menunjukkan adanya mediasi penuh (full mediation). Dengan demikian, self-efficacy terbukti berperan sebagai mediator penuh dalam hubungan antara growth mindset dan hasil belajar siswa

Media pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin saat ini masih terbatas yang sebagian besar hanya tersedia dalam Bahasa Mandarin. Tujuan umum pelatihan ini adalah untuk mengatasi kendala media pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin yang sangat terbatas dan menambah referensi media belajar bahasa Mandarin dengan cara melatih guru-guru Bahasa Mandarin untuk merancang dan merancang sebuah media interactive learning交互式学习媒体untuk mendukung pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin di sekolah-sekolah se-Malang Raya.     Optimalisasi Pengetahuan dan Tindakan Preventif Overweight–Obesitas pada Remaja Komunitas Karang Taruna

    Obesitas pada remaja mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dan telah menjadi masalah kesehatan global yang serius, termasuk di Indonesia. Gaya hidup yang tidak sehat, seperti konsumsi makanan cepat saji, minuman manis, serta kurangnya aktivitas fisik, merupakan faktor utama yang memicu obesitas di kalangan remaja. Kondisi ini tidak hanya mempengaruhi penampilan fisik, tetapi juga meningkatkan risiko penyakit kronis, seperti diabetes tipe 2, hipertensi, dan penyakit kardiovaskular sejak usia muda. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan upaya pencegahan overweight dan obesitas pada remaja di lingkungan komunitas karang taruna melalui edukasi kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi kesehatan mengenai strategi pencegahan overweight dan obesitas pada remaja di lingkungan komunitas karang taruna. Hasil pengukuran antropometri menunjukkan nilai rata-rata BMI remaja sebesar 22,6, dengan rentang 19,9 hingga 28,1, mengindikasikan sebagian besar responden berada dalam kategori normal hingga overweight ringan. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan pasca-intervensi. Sebelum sosialisasi, 30% responden memiliki pengetahuan tinggi, 45% sedang, dan 25% rendah. Setelah sosialisasi, proporsi pengetahuan tinggi meningkat drastis menjadi 72,5%, pengetahuan sedang 27,5%, dan tidak ditemukan responden dengan pengetahuan rendah. Peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan suasana interaktif selama kegiatan. Peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan ini menegaskan efektivitas intervensi edukatif berbasis komunitas dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan remaja terkait pencegahan obesitas. Pendekatan partisipatif dan edukasi yang kontekstual terbukti mampu membentuk kesadaran dan pemahaman akan pentingnya gaya hidup sehat

    Kegiatan magang di Laboratorium PTAM Giri Menang merupakan bagian dari implementasi Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Mataram. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa memperoleh pengalaman langsung dalam berbagai aktivitas laboratorium, seperti pengambilan sampel air, pengujian kimia fisik, dan mikrobiologi, serta kalibrasi dan sterilisasi alat. Mahasiswa dilibatkan secara aktif dalam proses kerja laboratorium, yang memperkuat keterampilan teknis, pemahaman konseptual, dan sikap profesional. Selain itu, kegiatan magang ini juga mendukung pengembangan soft skills seperti kemampuan komunikasi, kerja sama tim, dan berpikir kritis. Hasil dari kegiatan ini merefleksikan pentingnya pengalaman lapangan berbasis experiential learning dalam membangun kompetensi holistik mahasiswa, yang mencakup kemampuan akademik, teknis, dan non-teknis.
