    The Effect of Cooperative Model-Integrated Huyula Local Wisdom Values on Mastery Concepts of Simple Machine Material

    The learning model can be interpreted as a whole series of material presentations that include all aspects before, during and after learning. This study aims to examine the effect of applying a cooperative model integrated with local wisdom values on the mastery of the concept of simple aircraft research at SMP Negeri 1 Telaga Biru. The research design used a One-Shot Case Study by using one class as a sample. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after being treated using a cooperative model integrated with local wisdom values. The use of cooperative models integrated with local wisdom values increases the active involvement of students in discussions and cooperation, so as to improve understanding of concepts and the ability to carry out activities that are directly related to the concept of simple aircraft material. Data analysis shows that the average posttest score is higher than the learning objectives achievement criteria (KKTP). The results showed the criteria for testing the hypothesis of a one-sample t-test, tcount ≥ ttable, with α level = 0.05 for the experimental class, t table value (2.0096). This indicates that the cooperative model integrated with local wisdom values can improve students' learning outcomes in understanding the concept of simple aircraft material. This study concludes that the application of the cooperative model integrated with local wisdom values is effective because it involves students actively in the process of cooperation and discussion, thus strengthening their understanding of the material and achieving learning outcomes

    Correlation between Environmental Factors and Morphological Characteristics of Koenih Rimbo (Curcuma sumatrana Miq.) as an Endangered Plant in West Sumatra

    Curcuma sumatrana or Koenih Rimbo, is an endemic plant of West Sumatra that is threatened with extinction due to deforestation, climate change, and human activities. This study aims to understand the ecology of C. sumatrana to support effective conservation efforts. The study was conducted in seven potential locations in West Sumatra using exploration methods and analysis of environmental factors, such as altitude, temperature, humidity, soil pH, and canopy cover. The results showed that this species was only found in three locations, namely Lubuk Kilangan, Koto Malintang, and Koto Pulai, with the highest population in Koto Malintang. Environmental factors such as altitude, canopy cover, and air humidity were shown to support optimal growth of this species. Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) identified a close relationship between environmental factors and morphological parameters, including plant height, number of branches, and leaf size. This study emphasizes the importance of natural habitat conservation and further research on the ecology of this species to prevent its extinction

    Another role of ferns is as a source of plasma nutfah and also has the potential as a source of food and medicine. Analysis of pteridophyta plant vegetation aims to describe the types of Pteridophyta plants in the Amporiwo forest area. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative approach. The population and samples in this study were all types of ferns found in the Amporiwo forest area. Data analysis used a google lens camera and a reference book on Identification of Ferns (Pteridophyta). The results of the study showed that there were types of ferns (pteridophyta) with details of 5 orders, 9 families and 17 species, namely Pyrrosia lanceolata, Phymatosorus scolopendria. Pyrrosia piloselloides, Diplazium esculentu., Drynaria quercifolia, Christella leveille, Thelypteris pectiniformis, Asplenium nidus L., Nephrolepis biserrata, Pteridium esculentum, Dicranopteris linearis, Stenochlaena palustris, Dyplazium sorgonens, Ligodium palmatum, Lycopodiella cernua, Hipoderris brownie, Asplenium Polyodon. The conclusion is that the types of Pteridophyta plants in the Amporiwo forest area were found to be 5 orders, 9 families, and 17 species

    A DNA Barcoding Multilocus Analysis in the Cucurbitaceae Family

    The Cucurbitaceae family is a very diverse family of angiosperms and is often used as a traditional medicine because it produces secondary metabolites in the form of Cucurbitacin B, D, E, and I. The identification and determination of filogeny between species in the Cucurbitaceae family using a single DNA barcode locus is still inefficient. The purpose of this study is to analyze the appropriate and effective combination of DNA barcode multiloci for species identification from the Cucurbitaceae family. The materials used in this study are the database ofns matK, rbcL, ITS and trnL-F IGS from the Cucurbitaceae Family and the outgroup, namely Tetrameles nudiflora which was explored from Genbank through the NCBI website, and then performed MSA (Multiple Sequence Alignment) using MAFFT v.7 software. and sequence editing using Bioedit v.7.2. then DNA sequence analysis and phylogenetic tree construction using MEGA 11. The results show that the ITS locus is the most efficient barcode to identify and distinguish species in the Cucurbitaceae family. The combination of multiloci of the ITS, matk, and trnL-trnF IGS also has the potential to identify and differentiate species in the Cucurbitaceae family on the condition that ITS must be included (be the main locus) and not include rbcL because of its low variability

    The Incidence of Depression in Elderly Patients with Hypertension Stage 2 in Karang Taliwang

    Depression is a common mental health disorder in the elderly, often coexisting with chronic conditions like hypertension. This study examines the relationship between depression and hypertension stage 2 among elderly individuals at Puskesmas Karang Taliwang, considering age and gender. A cross-sectional study of 30 elderly patients used a validated questionnaire to assess depressive symptoms. Results showed a significant association between age (≥60 years) and depression, while gender had no statistical correlation. Hypertension stage 2 was also significantly linked to depression, though with a small effect size. These findings highlight the need for integrated healthcare strategies addressing both mental and cardiovascular health in the elderly. Further research is needed to explore underlying mechanisms and potential interventions

    Morphometric Analysis of Apis dorsata Bees in North Lombok Regency

    The giant honeybee (Apis dorsata) is vital for ecosystems as a pollinator, significantly impacting agricultural productivity, biodiversity, and food sustainability. This study explores the morphometric characteristics of Apis dorsata populations in Batu Rakit Village, North Lombok Regency, a tropical region with rich biodiversity. Morphometric data were collected from 20 worker bees, focusing on body length, abdomen dimensions, wing dimensions, proboscis length, and body weight. Measurements were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression to identify significant relationships between morphometric traits and body weight. Results show that abdomen length (r = 0.50, β = 0.05, p = 0.01) and forewing length (r = 0.48, β = 0.08, p = 0.03) are the strongest predictors of body weight, underscoring their roles in resource storage and flight efficiency. Most traits exhibited low variability, reflecting evolutionary adaptations to environmental stability, while body weight displayed high variability (CV = 7.53%), indicating responses to environmental and individual factors. These findings highlight the ecological importance of uniform traits such as abdomen length and wing dimensions in supporting the foraging efficiency and resource transport of Apis dorsata. This study provides critical insights for the conservation and management of Apis dorsata populations in tropical ecosystems

    Hydrolysed Fish Peptide, Turmeric and Garlic Powder Supplementation to Reducing Vibrio Bacteria in Litopenaeus vannamei

    Vibriosis disease caused by Vibrio bacteria is one of the main challenges in vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) farming, as it can cause high mortality rates and decreased productivity. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a combination of natural immunostimulants in turmeric (Curcuma longa) and garlic (Allium sativum) combined with hydrolysis of fish peptides in suppressing Vibrio spp. bacterial populations in the hepatopancreas organs. The study was conducted for 30 days using a completely randomised design of four treatments and three replications. Treatment A (feed+turmeric75%+garlic25%+fish peptide hydrolysis2%), Treatment B (feed+turmeric50%+garlic50%+fish peptide hydrolysis2%), Treatment C (feed+turmeric25%+garlic75%+fish peptide hydrolysis2%), and Treatment K (feed without immunostimulant and fish peptide hydrolysis). Total Vibrio spp. bacteria were counted using the total plate count method on the hepatopancreas organ of the shrimp. The results showed that the immunostimulant combination of turmeric 75%, garlic 25%, and fish peptide hydrolysis 2% (treatment A) significantly reduced the total number of Vibrio spp. bacteria in the hepatopancreas to 2.45 ± 0.213 log CFU/ml compared to the control. The combination of turmeric and garlic immunostimulants and fish peptide hydrolysis has the potential to be an effective natural strategy in controlling vibriosis disease in shrimp farming

    The Effect of Depth on Carrageenan Content in Kappaphycus alvarezii Culture in the Waters of Teluk Gerupuk

    Kappaphycus alvarezii is a red seaweed commonly found in the Indo-Pacific region. Seaweed plays an important role in daily life due to its high nutritional value and its content of hydrocolloid compounds such as carrageenan, agar, and alginate. Carrageenan is categorized into three types: iota, kappa, and lambda. It is widely applied in various sectors including food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. This study aimed to identify the optimal cultivation depth to maximize the carrageenan content in Kappaphycus alvarezii. The research employed an experimental method using different depth treatments over a cultivation period of 45 days. A completely randomized design (CRD) was applied, consisting of four treatments with three replications, resulting in a total of 12 experimental units. The treatments were as follows: P1 (0 cm depth), P2 (25 cm), P3 (50 cm), and P4 (75 cm). The research procedure included the construction of floating rafts, seedling preparation, tying of seedlings, planting, sampling, and harvesting. The best results were observed in treatment P1 (0 cm depth), which yielded the highest carrageenan content at 40%, the greatest absolute weight at 350 grams, and the highest specific growth rate at 5.90% per day

    The Effect of NPK Fertilizer and Banana Peel Liquid Organic Fertilizer on The Growth of Red Chili (Capsicum annum L)

    Chili plants have a high selling value when the supply of goods decreases due to late harvests in red chili centers in various regions. This can trigger Indonesian farmers to cultivate more quality chili plants because they have high economic value. This research aims to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer and banana peel liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of red chili (Capsicum annum L) and to assess the impact of the combination of NPK fertilizer and banana peel liquid organic fertilizer on red chili. This study employed an experimental approach, with data collected by assessing plant growth. NPK fertilizer had no discernible effect on the height or quantity of leaves on red chili peppers, but it did have an impact on leaf area, fresh weight, and dry weight. Red chili pepper plants' height, leaf count, leaf area, fresh weight, and dried weight were all unaffected by the application of a liquid organic fertilizer made from banana peels. Red chili pepper plant height and leaf count were not significantly impacted by the combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer generated from banana peels; but, leaf area, fresh weight, and dry weight were

    Promoting character and affecting local culture can also be through ethnoscience approach. This study aims to develop a Capillarity e-module based ethnoscience and determine the effectiveness of the module to increase students' scientific literacy. The method of this study is Research and Development, it utilized 3D+1I model (Define, Design, Develop and Implementation) that used to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products. Subject of this research 15 pre-service Science Education teachers at Universitas Islam Lamongan who were studying Fluids and Thermodynamics courses. The results showed that the development of Capillarity e-module based ethnoscience with an average percentage of validation on the feasibility aspect of the content, language feasibility, and feasibility of presenting correspondingly for 95.3%, 86.1% and 82.3% and a very feasible criteria. The effect of the implementation of Capillarity e-module based ethnoscience can promote pre-service science education teachers’ science literacy classical amounted to 93.75% Based on the results of this research concluded that the Capillarity e-module based ethnoscience effectively to increase pre-service science education teachers’ science literacy
