    Analisis Kemampuan Representasi Matematis ditinjau dari Self Efficacy pada Siswa Kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025

    Mathematical representation ability is an essential aspect of solving mathematical problems, particularly in the topic of relations and functions. However, in practice, many students struggle to express mathematical ideas through verbal, visual, and symbolic representations. One factor that may influence this ability is self efficacy, or students’ belief in their ability to complete mathematical tasks. This study aims to describe students’ mathematical representation ability in solving problems on relations and functions viewed from their self efficacy. The research was conducted at MTs Negeri 2 Mataram in the academic year 2024/2025 using a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects consisted of three eighth-grade students representing high, moderate, and low self efficacy categories based on questionnaire results. The instruments used included a self-efficacy questionnaire, a mathematical representation test, and interview guidelines. The findings show that students with high self-efficacy were able to fulfill all types of representation accurately and completely. Students with moderate self efficacy showed partial ability but were inconsistent. Meanwhile, students with low self-efficacy experienced difficulties in all forms of representation. These findings indicate a tendency that self efficacy plays a role in students’ quality of mathematical representation ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis dalam memecahkan masalah relasi dan fungsi yang ditinjau dari self efficacy siswa kelas VIII. Kemampuan representasi matematis mencakup kemampuan siswa dalam menyajikan ide atau konsep matematika melalui representasi visual, verbal, dan simbolik. Self efficacy merupakan keyakinan individu terhadap kemampuannya dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas tertentu, yang terdiri dari tiga indikator: level, strength, dan generality. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek sebanyak 30 siswa kelas VIII MTs. Pemilihan subjek utama untuk dianalisis dilakukan berdasarkan hasil angket self efficacy, kemudian dipilih tiga siswa dengan kategori self efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan representasi matematis, angket self efficacy dan pedoman wawancara semi terstruktur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan self efficacy tinggi mampu menunjukkan kemampuan representasi yang lengkap dan tepat pada ketiga bentuk representasi, serta memiliki keyakinan kuat dalam menyelesaikan berbagai bentuk soal. Siswa dengan self efficacy sedang menunjukkan kemampuan yang cukup baik dalam representasi visual dan simbolik, namun masih lemah dalam penjelasan verbal. Sementara itu, siswa dengan self efficacy rendah menunjukkan keterbatasan dalam semua bentuk representasi serta memiliki keyakinan rendah terhadap kemampuannya sendiri. Dengan demikian, tingkat self efficacy berkorelasi dengan variasi dan kualitas representasi matematis siswa, meskipun tidak secara mutlak menentukan hasil akhir dari kemampuan tersebut

    Tujuan dari penelitian ini : (1) untuk mengetahui bagaimana bentuk solidaritas sosial dalam Banjar Begawe Merarik, dan (2) kegiatan Banjar Begawe Merarik di Desa Ubung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Jenis data dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. dan sumber data data berupa subjek penelitian dan informan penelitian. Teknik Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yakni teknik analisis kualitatif model miles dan huberman dengan prosedur yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini yaitu (1) bentuk solidaritas sosial dalam Banjar Begawe Merarik yaitu bentuk solidaritas sosial mekanik, dan(2)terdapat kegiatan banjar begawe merarik yaitu; kegiatan Begawe Merarik meliputi; a)Kegiatan persiapan meliputi musyawarah waktu dan tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan, Menyilaq, iuran , Betaring, b)Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi membuat bumbu untuk memasak, memasak bersama, Sambut Temoe, Begibung, zikiran, selanjutnya Nyongkolan dan Bales Lampak Nae, dan c)Tahap penutup terdiri dari Rebak jangkeh atau membongkar tungku memasak dan mencuci piring

    Evaluating Student-Built Earthquake Alarm Prototypes: Integrating Engineering Practices Through Real-World Projects in Junior High School

    Preparing students for 21st-century challenges requires learning experiences that connect scientific knowledge with real-world applications. This study investigates the integration of engineering practices in junior high school physics education through a project in which ninth-grade students designed and built simple earthquake alarm prototypes. The project adopted the PGBU (Pikir, Gambar, Buat, Uji)—a structured design process widely used in Indonesia—to guide students through iterative phases of thinking, sketching, building, and testing. Data from 24 student groups were analyzed using a rubric assessing functionality, application of physics concepts, creativity, construction neatness, and use of recycled materials. Most groups performed at moderate to high levels, with relatively higher performance observed in creativity and functionality. Results also indicated evidence of collaboration and the ability to apply physics concepts in real-world contexts. The project-based implementation of PGBU effectively fostered essential 21st-century competencies such as creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. These findings highlight the potential of culturally grounded, design-based learning to support meaningful STEM education in junior high schools

    Upaya Penanggulangan Dinas Sosial dalam Penanganan Gelandangan dan Pengemis di Wilayah Kota Mataram

    Permasalahan gelandangan dan pengemis (gepeng) di Kota Mataram merupakan isu sosial yang kompleks dan terus berkembang seiring urbanisasi. Kegiatan Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Dinas Sosial Kota Mataram dalam menangani gepeng melalui pendekatan humanis, rehabilitatif, dan preventif. Salah satu program unggulan yang dikaji adalah GIGI PEMULA (Giat Pagi Pengawalan Pemulung dan Pengemis), yang dilaksanakan secara rutin dengan fokus pada penertiban, edukasi, asesmen sosial, dan pemberdayaan ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi kegiatan lapangan yang melibatkan pemetaan titik rawan gepeng, penyaluran bantuan sosial berbasis keluarga, dan pemberdayaan kelompok rentan seperti lansia dan penyandang disabilitas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa strategi penanggulangan yang bersifat kolaboratif antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan institusi pendidikan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas program dan memperkuat integrasi sosial kelompok marginal. Model intervensi ini diharapkan menjadi acuan bagi daerah lain dalam membangun solusi sosial yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan

    Pengaruh Adversity Quotient dan Emotional Quotient Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII MTs Negeri 3 Mataram Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025

    Low student math learning achievement is still a problem that is often encountered. Internal factors such as adversity quotient and emotional quotient are thought to influence student learning achievement. This study aims to determine the effect of adversity quotient and emotional quotient on students' mathematics learning achievement both partially and simultaneously. This research uses a quantitative approach with ex post facto method. The population of this study was class VIII as many as 200 students. The sample used was 133 students who were determined using purposive sampling technique. The instruments in this study were adversity quotient questionnaire, emotional quotient questionnaire and math learning achievement test. The instruments were validated by two experts. By using regression analysis, the results obtained: 1) there is a positive and significant effect of adversity quotient on mathematics learning achievement of students in class VIII MTsN 3 Mataram in the 2024/2025 school year with a contribution of 7.2%; 2) there is a positive and significant effect of emotional quotient on mathematics learning achievement of students in class VIII MTsN 3 Mataram in the 2024/2025 school year with a contribution of 12.9%; 3) there is a positive and significant effect of adversity quotient and emotional quotient on mathematics learning achievement of students in class VIII MTsN 3 Mataram in the 2024/2025 school year with a contribution of 11.7%.Rendahnya prestasi belajar matematika siswa masih menjadi permasalahan yang sering dijumpai. Faktor-faktor internal seperti adversity quotient dan emotional quotient diduga turut memengaruhi capaian prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh adversity quotient dan emotional quotient terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII sebanyak 200 siswa. Adapun sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 133 siswa yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah angket adversity quotient, angket emotional quotient dan tes prestasi belajar matematika. Kemudian instrumen divalidasi oleh dua ahli. Dengan menggunakan analisis regresi diperoleh hasil: 1) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan adversity quotient terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN 3 Mataram tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan kontribusi sebesar ; 2) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan emotional quotient terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN 3 Mataram tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan kontribusi sebesar; 3) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan adversity quotient dan emotional quotient terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII MTsN 3 Mataram tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan kontribusi sebesa

    Development of Comics Media to Improve Science Literacy and Concepts Understanding Junior High School Students In Central Halmahera Regency Through Reading Literacy Program

    In the era of globalization and information technology that continues to develop, the world of education must be able to adapt to various changes. One very important aspect of the world of education is the use of learning media. This study aims to determine whether the development of learning media in the form of comics based on scientific literacy and students' conceptual understanding developed in this study is suitable for use in the learning process at SMP Negeri 4 Halmahera Tengah through the reading literacy program and to determine whether learning media in the form of comics can improve scientific literacy and students' conceptual understanding at SMP Negeri 4 Halmahera Tengah through the reading literacy program. This research is a type of development research (Research and Development). The data collection technique used in this study is to use five stages, namely the Define Stage, Development Stage, Interview, Observation, and Response Questionnaire. The study's data sources are divided into two parts, namely qualitative and quantitative data. Data analysis techniques in the study used the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design, T-Test, and N-Gain Test. The study results showed that: 1) Regarding validity, the total percentage of the average value of media and material experts was 96%, categorized as "Very Valid." 2) Practicality is obtained by the total average percentage value of small-scale student responses, resulting in a score of 96%, which is categorized as "Very Practical." 3) Effectiveness is obtained from the T-test with Sig. 0.000, where <0.05 indicates a difference in students' scientific literacy and conceptual understanding before and after using comic media on the material of plant and animal reproductive systems. The N-Gain test obtained an average percentage score of 0.65, categorized as "Moderate." Based on these three results, it can be concluded that the development of comic media to improve scientific literacy and conceptual understanding of junior high school students in Central Halmahera Regency through the reading literacy program can be said to be feasible to be used to improve scientific literacy and conceptual understanding

    Relationship Between Waist Circumference, Smoking, and Physical Activity with Hypertension at Lenek Community Health Center

    Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), including hypertension, are a major problem and cause of premature death in developing countries. Data on hypertension in NTB is 282,970 with the most sufferers in East Lombok Regency. Non-modifiable hypertension risk factors include age, gender, and heredity, as well as modifiable risks include smoking, alcohol use, obesity, nutrition, and physical activity. The purpose of this study at the Lenek Health Center is to evaluate the link between waist circumference, smoking, and physical activity with hypertension. This study employs a cross-sectional approach and is observational quantitative analytical in nature. Purposive sampling is done using the Slovin formula. This study's sample size was 106 samples. The data was examined using the chi-square test. The findings revealed 106 respondents, the majority of whom had hypertension (74 people, 69.8%), while 32 people (30.2%) did not have hypertension. There is a substantial correlation between waist circumference and hypertension (p = 0.001). Smoking is significantly associated with hypertension (p=0.001). There is a strong link between physical activity and hypertension (p=0.001). The conclusion is that waist circumference, smoking, and physical activity all influence the prevalence of hypertension at the Lenek Health Center

    The Study of Effectiveness of Chitosan from Pearl Oyster (Pinctada maxima) Shell as Antibacterial in Bone Scaffold Application

    Chitosan is a functional material with potential for bone scaffolds due to its antibacterial properties, biocompatibility, biodegradability, low toxicity, and ability to support tissue regeneration and prevent infections in graft implantation.This study aims to identify changes in functional groups in each isolation process and identify the effect of chitosan concentration  on the activity of Straphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. Chitosan isolation methods are demineralization, deproteination, decolorization, and deacetylation by microwave irradiation. Analysis of chitosan functional groups using FTIR, while antibacterial activity test using diffusion method. Isolation of chitosan from pearl oyster shells (Pinctada maxima sp.) obtained a degree of deacetylation of chitosan of 95.37%. Pearl oyster shell powder identified typical peaks of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). The demineralized powder sample had calcium carbonate (CO₃²⁻) peaks that disappeared. Furthermore, the deproteinated powder sample produced peaks with amide groups (C=O dan N-H) of reduced protein. Decolorized powder samples did not show drastic changes in the bands of the deproteinated powder spectra, but the spectra could show cleaner and clearer peaks without any interference from pigments. The last, deacetylated powder sample showed a decrease in peak intensity in the 1650 cm⁻¹ (C=O amide). The analysis of the ability of chitosan to inhibit the growth of E. Coli and S. Aureus bacteria was effective at a minimum chitosan concentration of 20%. In comparison, antibacterial activity in S. aureus is better than in E. coli. Chitosan from this shell can serve as an antibacterial, but its manufacturing techniques need optimization for better efficacy

    Performance of Multipurpose Plants as Plant Enrichment in Community Managed Forest in Karang Sidemen Village, Central Lombok

    Forest areas enrichment with multipurpose plants could increase the success of forest area management by the community. This study describes the performance of multipurpose trees as plant enrichment in community managed forest in Karang Sidemen Village, Central Lombok, and to analyze the factors that influence it. Data were collected in August 2023. Respondents were farmers who received plant enrichment assistance in 2017 sponsored by the Millennium Challenge Account Indonesia (MCAI). Vegetation data were collected from 36 sample plots of 20x20m with subplots of 10x10m and 5x5m. The results showed that the enrichment plants found were avocado, durian, mangosteen and langsat, with the population of 157 individuals/ha (5% of stem diameters (f) 10-<20cm and 96% of f 2-<10cm), which was less than that of banana population of 466 individuals/ha. The population without banana was 1383 individuals/ha with 5.93%, 45.86% and 89.66% belong to f >=20cm, 10-<20cm and 2-<10cm, respectively. The average f at 120cm height for enrichment plants of avocado, durian, mangosteen and langsat were 6.16cm, 5.48cm, 4.26cm and 3.77cm respectively, while the average plant height was 5.26m, 4.07m, 2.39m and 4.86 m respectively. Low soil organic content and dense plant populations tend to result in smaller diameters of multipurpose plants

    Penguatan Pemahaman Keislaman bagi Mualaf di Desa Mauleum

    Artikel ini membahas kegiatan pengabdian kolaboratif antara dosen dan mahasiswa Program studi Ahwal Al-Syakhshiyah terkait penguatan pemahaman keislaman bagi Masyarakat mualaf di kampung kium Desa Mauleum Kecamatan Amanuban Timur Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS). Tujuan dari pengabdian ini ialah memberikan pemahaman dan penguatan Keislaman bagi masyarakat mualaf di kampung Kium terkait nilai-nilai Islam dengan menggunakan musolah Al-Muhajirin Kium sebagai media pengabdian. Adapun metode dari pengabdian ini ialah Participatory Action Research (PAR), Dimana yang menjadi orientasi dari kegiatan ini adalah melakukan pemberdayaan terhadap Masyarakat atas permasalahan yang mereka hadapi, dimana mereka sendirilah yang akan menjadi aktor (juru dakwah) dalam melakukan pemberdayaan atau dakwah selanjutnya kepada orang-orang yang ingin masuk Islam sebagaimana yang terjadi pada diri mereka saat ini. hasil yang didapatkan adalah masyarakat mualaf kampung kium dapat memahami dan mempraktekan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
