Inventory Analysis of Spare Part Using Always, Better, Control (ABC) and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Method in PT. XYZ - Medan
Inventory plays a pivotal role in a company's logistics, serving both to fulfill external customer demands and to enhance internal production efficiency. However, PT. XYZ in Medan did not address yet several cost factors that could significantly influence the overall procurement expenses of spare parts, particularly given that certain spare parts carry notably high purchase prices. While PT. XYZ has been placing orders for spare parts, these are typically initiated only when stock is depleted, based on the assumption that spare parts fall under the category of slow-moving goods. Consequently, it is imperative to conduct an inventory analysis to identify gap between the existing conditions and the outcomes derived from the proposed methodological approach. The methodology used in this study is Always, Better, Control (ABC) method to classify spare parts based on their cost percentage and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to analyze the economic order size, order frequency and optimal ordering time. From the results of data processing that has been done, there are 7 types of spare parts that fall into category A and there is a decrease in Total Variable Cost (TVC) ranging from 13% to 40% from existing conditions. Ordering costs consist of telecommunications costs, labor costs, fuel costs and loading/unloading costs; while storage costs consist of electricity costs and maintenance costs. Scheduling the time of reordering or sending purchase order (PO) to the vendor, the number of spare part units to be ordered and the estimated arrival of spare parts are carried out based on the EOQ calculation that has been compared and adjusted to the previous existing conditions
The Impact of Chamotte Sand on the Mechanical and Physical Characteristics of Ceramic Molds Made of Chromite Sand
Casting flaws are common in the high-temperature steel casting process, particularly surface flaws and rough surfaces. One option to avoid these surface defects is to use sand with a higher melting point, like chromite sand. This study is an extension of the previous research, which found that chromite sand, a ceramic mold material, frequently fractures during the sintering process. Chamotte sand material of 3% and 5% by weight has been applied as a binder to chromite sand to improve this. With an ideal sintering temperature of 1,050°C, two ceramic sintering processes, the Shaw and the Unicast processes—have been used. To determine the chromite-chamotte sand mixture's potential as a ceramic mold material, tests for cold crushing strength (CCS), modulus of rupture (MoR), permeability, and refractory were conducted. The mixture with 3% wt chamotte sand with the Shaw sintering technique provided the highest results and was appropriate for ceramic mold
Penerapan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular pada Desain Pusat Kerajinan Rajut Surabaya
Kerajinan rajut adalah lebih dari sekadar kegiatan kreatif, tapi juga salah satu bentuk ekspresi budaya yang tetap berkembang di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Pada zaman sekarang, produk buatan tangan semakin populer karena ciri khas, nilai estetika, serta kesadaran konsumen yang meningkat mengenai isu keberlanjutan. Dalam dinamika kota metropolitan seperti Surabaya, permintaan akan tempat yang dapat menampung aktivitas kreatif, khususnya rajut, semakin mendesak. Dengan demikian, Pusat Kerajinan Rajut didesain untuk mendukung berbagai aktivitas mulai dari pelatihan, produksi, pameran, hingga interaksi komunitas yang bersifat kolaboratif. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui studi literatur dan studi kasus lapangan. Penerapan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular diwujudkan pada tatanan lahan yang mengadaptasi skema rumah Jawa, di mana pola hierarki dan keteraturan ruang diolah kembali agar sesuai dengan konteks tapak. Bentuk atap tradisional dimodifikasi dengan material modern untuk tetap mempertahankan identitas lokal sekaligus menjawab kebutuhan fungsional di iklim tropis. Selain itu, penerapan secondary skin bermotif rajut pada fasad bangunan berfungsi ganda, yakni memperkuat karakter budaya lokal sebagai identitas visual serta mengontrol cahaya dan panas matahari guna menciptakan kenyamanan termal di dalam ruang. Dengan demikian, hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa konsep Neo Vernakular tidak hanya menghadirkan nilai kearifan lokal, tetapi juga mampu beradaptasi dengan tuntutan fungsi, estetika modern, dan prinsip keberlanjutan
Eksplorasi Karakteristik Pecinan dalam Arsitektur Vernakular Ruko Jap Loen di Bandung: Warisan Budaya dan Adaptasi Lokal
Ruko (rumah toko) adalah elemen arsitektur khas yang mendominasi kawasan Pecinan di berbagai kota Indonesia, menjadi simbol peran etnis Tionghoa dalam perkembangan ekonomi melalui perdagangan. Salah satu contoh bersejarah adalah Ruko Jap Loen di Jalan Pasar Andir, Bandung, yang didirikan pada 1923 oleh Jap Loen, seorang pengusaha tekstil dan properti. Awalnya, bangunan ini berfungsi sebagai pasar ikan asin dan telah menjadi saksi perkembangan sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya Tionghoa di Bandung. Secara arsitektural, Ruko Jap Loen mencerminkan perpaduan budaya Tionghoa dan pengaruh lokal, dengan elemen-elemen desain tradisional yang khas. Namun, seiring berjalannya waktu, kawasan Pecinan Bandung mengalami transformasi menuju arsitektur modern, mengurangi jumlah ruko tradisional yang tersisa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik arsitektur Pecinan pada Ruko Jap Loen, dengan fokus pada nilai-nilai budaya dalam desainnya serta adaptasi etnis Tionghoa terhadap lingkungan lokal. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dan studi kasus, penelitian ini mengandalkan wawancara mendalam dan analisis dokumen historis. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan pemahaman komprehensif tentang pentingnya pelestarian warisan budaya untuk menjaga identitas kawasan Pecinan di tengah pesatnya perkembangan arsitektur modern
ANALISIS TINGKAT KENYAMANAN TERMAL MENGGUNAKAN METODE TEMPERATURE HUMIDITY INDEX SERTA KAITANNYA DENGAN KEBERADAAN RUANG TERBUKA HIJAU DI KOTA SURABAYA
Comfort conditions based on climatology parameters can be considered the comfort level of population in an area. Development in Surabaya area over the past few years has inevitably led to a shift in the function of green land into new buildings, especially residential and industrial ones. This indicated an effect on the condition of thermal comfort due to an increase in surface temperature. Therefore, calculations are carried out to determine the thermal comfort index in Surabaya and spatial analysis to see its distribution. Remote sensing using Landsat imagery is carried out to determine the classification and distribution of vegetation, buildings and water bodies. With overall accuracy about 93%, this land cover of Landsat data is considered good enough to represent the current state of land cover in Surabaya. The results show that there has been a significant change in land cover in almost a decade (2013-2021). The comfort level is best seen at the beginning of the research year (2013) and the lowest one is seen in 2016. Based on these two data, it can be seen that there is a link between the decrease in the quality of the thermal comfort level and the availability of green open spaces. Several things affect the thermal comfort conditions in Surabaya, i.e. geographical conditions, global climate anomaly conditions and the availability of vegetation stands or green open spaces
Review Pengaruh Metode Adsorpsi sebagai Pre-Treatment dan Metode Pemurnian Kering dalam Pembuatan Biodiesel Menggunakan Minyak Jelantah
Biodiesel is an alternative fuel used in diesel engines. Biodiesel can be produced from various types of biomass that exist in nature. Biodiesel processing is the process of converting from triglycerides into fatty acid methyl esters (FAME). The biodiesel production method develops with a variety of processes selected based on the conditions of the raw material and the quality of biodiesel to be achieved. Biodiesel production can use conventional methods such as esterification with acid catalysts and transesterification with base catalysts. Despite there are also new methods such as subcritical and supercritical processes in the absence of a catalyst. The general method of purifying biodiesel is the wet washing and dry washing process, a conventional method for removing biodiesel impurities such as soap, catalysts, glycerol, and alcohol residues using water as a washing agent. Acids can also be used as washing agents, such as phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, and hydrochloric acid. Dry-washing is a purification method using an ion exchange resin. The biodiesel refining process can also be done using membranes. Besides, there are also ionic liquids and eutectic solvents formed from a mixture of organic halide salts and organic compounds that can be applied in the purification of biodiesel
The Impact of Information Management Systems on Supervision and Control of Construction Projects
Construction projects frequently encounter supervision and control challenges, leading to delays and cost overruns, primarily due to inadequate information management. This study examines the impact of Information Management Systems (IMS) adoption on project supervision and control in Banda Aceh, with a focus on information quality, technological readiness, and user competency. Using a quantitative survey of 95 construction professionals and multiple linear regression analysis, the findings reveal that IMS enhances real-time data accessibility, transparency, and process integration. However, its effectiveness depends on technological infrastructure, user training, and management support. These insights offer strategic recommendations for optimizing IMS adoption to improve project performance
Optimization of Mechanical Performance Polymer Insulators SiR Using CFA Waste as Filler
This study investigates the use of coal fly ash as a filler in Room Temperature Vulcanization (RTV) silicone rubber to enhance its mechanical properties. Fly ash, which contains silica, has the potential to improve the strength of the polymer. The research aims to optimize the composition of fly ash in RTV silicone rubber composites using the quadratic regression method, focusing on tensile strength and elongation performance. Tests were conducted according to ASTM D 412 standards for tensile strength and elongation. The results showed that the optimal fly ash composition for tensile strength was 38.11%, resulting in a tensile strength of 0.19 and a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 13.64%. For elongation, the optimal composition was 14.95%, with an elongation value of 192.094 and a MAPE of 24.75%. This study provides valuable insights into how fly ash can be used to enhance the mechanical properties of RTV silicone rubber composites
Rancang Bangun dan Analisis Kinerja HRD Menggunakan Metode Agile Scrum Berbasis Website
Pertumbuhan jumlah Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) di PT Primamas Segara Unggul berdampak signifikan terhadap tata kelola dan organisasi perusahaan. Manajemen SDM yang efektif adalah kunci keberhasilan perusahaan, terutama dalam pengembangan, pelatihan, dan pembinaan karyawan. Kompleksitas tugas-tugas Human Resource Development (HRD) memerlukan pendekatan terintegrasi dan efisien. Pada penelitian ini menerapkan metode agile scrum dalam pengembangan aplikasi merupakan proses yang melibatkan analisis kebutuhan dari target penelitian yang dapat dilakukan dengan peneliti melakukan survey dan wawancara sebelum melalui tahap perancangan desain. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis melakukan kegiatan survey dan wawancara. Kegiatan survey dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan data informasi yang dibutuhkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan implementasi sistem Human Resources Information System (HRIS) menggunakan metode Agile Scrum, beberapa kesimpulan dapat diambil sebagai berikut: Sistem HRIS yang dikembangkan berhasil diimplementasikan sesuai dengan rencana yang telah ditetapkan. Fitur-fitur utama yang mencakup pengelolaan data karyawan, laporan SP, surat perjanjian PKWT, surat pengunduran diri, surat keterangan karyawan keluar, serta data mutasi kerja berhasil diterapkan dan berfungsi dengan baik. Implementasi sistem HRIS telah menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan data SDM. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil evaluasi yang menunjukkan peningkatan persentase persetujuan dari 64% saat perancangan lalu menjadi 76% setelah implementasi. Mayoritas responden merasa bahwa sistem ini membantu meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas dalam pengelolaan tugas-tugas manajemen SDM
Sistem Monitoring PLTS Hybrid Off-Grid pada Instalasi Pengolahan Limbah Pabrik Kripik Kawasan Mojokerto
Paper ini berfokus pada perancangan dan implementasi sistem monitoring untuk PLTS Hybrid Off-Grid 1,2 KWp dengan penekanan pada penggunaan protokol Modbus sebagai standar komunikasi data. Protokol Modbus TCP/IP dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam mengintegrasikan berbagai perangkat pengukuran seperti sensor PZEM-017 dan Multifunction Power Meter melalui media komunikasi RS485. Node-RED digunakan sebagai platform SCADA untuk visualisasi parameter listrik secara real-time, seperti tegangan, arus, daya, dan energi (kWh). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem monitoring yang dirancang berhasil memberikan data dengan rata-rata error yang berada di bawah batas toleransi standar 5% untuk sistem monitoring PLTS. Error tertinggi tercatat sebesar 1.82% pada parameter daya solar panel, yang disebabkan oleh fluktuasi intensitas cahaya matahari dan ketidaksempurnaan konversi daya oleh inverter. Sementara itu, parameter lainnya menunjukkan rata-rata error di bawah 1.66%
