Pengomposan Sampah Organik Sebagai Upaya Pengelolaan Lingkungan di Sekolah Dasar
School is one of waste generation source other than residential. Appropriate school waste management shall be conducted to avoid health problems and environmental pollution. Composting is one of the method in organic waste treatment. Organic waste from Tanah Tinggi Elementary School, Tangerang was composted in composter drum. Raw organic waste was mixed with manure with ratio 2:1, 3:1, and 3:2. Temperature increase during composting and end result composition were observed. Through composting process, the temperature increased from 33-35oC to 40-41oC. Temperature increase implied microorganism activity in decomposing organic waste. Compost product quality indicated the best C/N ratio was resulted from organic waste which waste mixed with manure in 3:1 ratio. Organic waste composting at school will reduce the quantity of waste which shall be transported to final disposal site. Another benefit is to improve awareness in environmental protection. School roles in composting program consist of providing location for composting and disseminating information about the benefit of organic waste composting

Densely populated settlements in the Kediri have their own problems in the livestock sector. Starting from the problem of narrow land for raising livestock and the availability of feed. Raising rabbits is one of the ways of the Sumber Rejeki livestock group, Ngronggo Village, Kediri City so that they can continue to raise livestock. The ability of rabbits to use various types of feed makes it easier for rabbits to be kept, especially in urban areas by utilizing the potential of local feed resources. However, farmers are still lacking information about local urban waste that can be used to feed rabbits as well as how to prepare rabbit rations. The solutions that can be given are counseling on the types of local feed ingredients that can be used as rabbit feed and training on forage handling and how to prepare complete rations for rabbits. The methods used in this community service are participatory, outreach, mentoring, and training for partner group members and there will be an evaluation at the end of the activity. The resulting output is an increase in the understanding of farmers about local animal feed ingredients and an increase in the ability to prepare rabbit rations. The resulting product is in the form of feed as biscuits,it’s easy to bite because rabbits are rodents. This feed product will later be referred as rabbits biosupplement biscuit

The method of implementing the activities were: socialization and field survey, the design of the calcium oxide-making system, trials, and discussions / questions and answers with partners. The results achieved were (1) partners have an effective calcium oxide making system (furnace using heating element / heat storage), (2) partners have knowledge in making calcium oxide through an effective limestone combustion system so as to increase and accelerate production activit
