    Education for The Improvement of Student Awareness on Cleanliness and Environmental Health

    The results of the situation analysis show that poor hygiene conditions and sanitation facilities that do not comply with health standards occur at SMAIT ANIC, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan. Based on the results of this analysis, the Community Partnership Program (PKM) seeks to solve this problem. The PKM program implemented as a solution is education about cleanliness, to increase the school community's knowledge and awareness of the importance of school cleanliness. School cleanliness plays a role in the implementation of education in schools. The method used in the activity is a lecture with questionnaires given before and after the activity as a means of evaluation. This activity also emphasizes active participation from all parties involved, including students and teachers, as well as school administration staff. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding and awareness of the meaning of school cleanliness and sanitation. These results indicate that the objectives of this PKM program have been achieved. Increasing knowledge will certainly have an impact on environmental cleanliness and clean-living habits of students

    Infectious diseases are still a public health problem in Indonesia, especially in Kupang Regency. Cases of infectious diseases in Kupang Regency are mostly suffered by the under-five age group. Limited access to health facilities, family economy and knowledge of parents causes children's health care to be less than optimal. Public health services cannot be evenly distributed without consider the existency of traditional medicine systems. Therefore, the solution offered from this program is to provide training on the use of local plants for health maintenance, disease prevention and treatment of minor illnesses or symptoms of disease that is carried out at home before going to health services. The target of this training is posyandu participants in Naibonat Village, Kupang Regency. The application of solutions includes counseling and training as well as assistance with practical methods and simulations regarding the introduction, processing and how to use local plants as alternative family medicine. The results obtained were an increase in the knowledge and skills of posyandu participants in utilizing local plants as an economical alternative medicine for families, especially for toddlers

    Application of the Six Sigma Method to Minimize Leaking in Pillow Pack Cooking Oil Packaging at PT. ABC

    PT. ABC is a company that has a cooking oil production business. In order to remain competitive with similar companies, the quality of the product must be maintained and improved. One of the problems of PT. ABC is the existence of leakage in the pillow pack packaging. The Six Sigma method can be used to identify the triggers for the leaking. This community service activity provides suggestions for improving the pillow pack cooking oil packaging process so that the amount of leaking can be reduced. Proposals are prepared by identifying the packaging process with reference to the Six Sigma method assisted by several statistical tools (check sheets, stratification, Pareto diagrams as well as fishbone diagrams). It was found that the highest leakage occurred on the horizontal side of the pillow pack (55%). On the basis of these findings, the proposed improvements lead to making a machine repair schedule at certain hours and then carrying out maintenance on the filling machine

    Scientific journals are publication media that contain articles that present the results of research and scientific studies. Management of journals by departments at universities is essential in improving the quality and reputation of departments, especially in supporting the implementation of tridharma in research. Based on the results of observations, the management of the Jeumpa Journal carried out by the Department of Biology Education at Samudra University is still not optimal. Through the Community Partnership Program (PKM), efforts were made to solve problems related to the not yet optimal management of the journal. Together with Jeumpa Journal editorial partners, efforts to optimize the journal were carried out through four stages, namely optimizing the appearance of the journal's website, compiling author guidelines, compiling article templates, and socializing and promoting the journal. Evaluation with Jeumpa Journal editorial partners on all stages of optimization activities that have been carried out is used as a benchmark in preparing follow-up programs in the development

    Graphic design is a skill that is much needed today. With the existence of a women's community at the Nies World learning house, it is a good opportunity to open graphic design classes for young women only. Classes will only focus on making desk calendars and wall calendars, both print and digital. The method used is giving lectures related to introductory material and direct practical assistance. Products that were successfully designed by the participants were very good, seen from the type of template chosen, the type of writing, the color of the writing and the selection of images that were appropriate and balanced between existing elements. Some of the best calendars were printed and given back to the participants concerned. With this training, it is hoped that young women can express ideas and be creative in providing their best designs to create quality products. This potential can be beneficial for oneself, as entrepreneurial capital through selling production results or opening design services

One of the elementary schools that regularly takes part in the Olympics is SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang.     Ngeposari Village, Semanu District, Gunung Kidul Regency, DIY, is 40 km from the campus. Most people work in the agricultural sector. In particular, the community uses a rain-fed agricultural system. Rain-fed agriculture has limited water availability and relies on rainwater as a source. Rain-fed agricultural land is at high risk of drought. Therefore, through the PPK ORMAWA program, students are trying to contribute, educating the public on agricultural development, through the concept of smart farming in cultivating horticultural plants. The community can implement the concept of smart farming, horticulture, and tilapia cultivation through the aquaponics method. This is an effort to meet the need for healthy food and increase the income of village communities. The program uses a community empowerment system through 3 stages, namely awareness, capacity building and empowerment. The awareness stage is intended to provide understanding and awareness for the community regarding the potential they have and the sectors that can be developed. The community awareness stage is a crucial first step and is the basis for community empowerment. At the capacity building stage, the community is given counseling and assistance to be able to actively implement smart farming as an empowerment stage.
