    Tuturan Ritual Be’eula dalam Upacara Kematian pada Masyarakat Desa Oetutulu Kecamatan Rote Barat Laut Kabupaten Rote Ndao

    This study aims to describe the meaning and function contained in the Ritual Speech of Be'eula in the death ceremony at the Oetutulu Village Community, North West Rote District, Rote Ndao District. Be'eula's ritual speech is the process of handing over betel nut sites from families who are grieving to parents or traditional elders who have selected the same age as those who have died after the funeral process. Attitudes to maintain cultural traditions, especially beeeula in the community of Oetutulu Village, North West Rote Subdistrict, Rote Ndao District illustrate people's obedience to ancestral heritage. The people of Oetutulu Village, North West Rote Subdistrict, Rote Ndao District are aware that Be'eula Ritual speech has meaning and function that is very important for their lives. The intended meaning and function also describe their existence or identity as a civilized society. The results of the study showed that in the ritual speech of be’eula in the death ceremony that occurred in the community of Oetutulu Village, Rote Barat Laut District, Rote Ndao District contained several meanings. The meanings meant here are (1) Religious Meaning; (2) Meaning of Togetherness; and (3) The Meaning of Affection.     The aim of this research is to describe and explain the values ​​contained in the legend of Oe Honis in the Babuin Village community, TTS Regency. The problem proposed in this research is: “what kinds of values which ​​are contained in the Oe Honis Legend in the community of Babuin Village, Middle Amanuban District, South Central Timor Regency?†The benefits of this research are as follows: (1) to increase knowledge and broaden the horizon about Oe Honis legend; and (2) as one of the references for the government of South Central Timor Regency in compiling and developing the local content material (Muatan Lokal) for the elementary and secondary schools. The theory used in this research is Anthropology of Literature which is a literary work that emphasizes the cultural heritage of the past. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this research indicated that the Legend of Oe Honis is formed by two words namely Oe which means 'water' and Honis which means 'life'. So, Oe Honis means the water of life. The term Oe (water) for the people of Babuin Village, TTS Regency is one of the important elements on earth that is needed very much for human life and other types of living creatures. Therefore, for the people of Babuin Village, South Central Timor Regency, Oe Honis is a source of life for human life. Or in other words, where there is Oe (water) there is life. The values ​​contained in the Oe Honis legend, such as: (1) A historical Value as evidence of the legacy that is still preserved to this day like a cattle footprint being digged and found water namely Oe Honis; (2) Religious Value as a Prayer before digging and using the water; (3) Values of life as the attitudes and efforts to utilize the nature; and (4) The values of togetherness as a relationship in the community, such as building the Sonaf (king palace) and mutual cooperation to find water for the need of Babuin community. &nbsp

    Moderasi Islam Dalam Pembelajaran PAI Melalui Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual

    This study aims to examine the moderation of Islam in PAI learning through contextual learning models. PAI learning is a planned activity that conditions and stimulates students to learn well in accordance with the learning objectives. In the learning process, PAI teachers must use appropriate learning models in order to optimize the potential of the students so that learning objectives can be achieved properly. Through the contextual learning model, PAI learning objectives to internalize the values of Islamic moderation to students can be achieved. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. By using a qualitative approach researchers are expected to be more flexible in understanding, observing and conducting a more accurate review regarding Islamic moderation in PAI learning through contextual learning models. The results showed that: 1) the implementation of PAI learning by using contextual learning models can improve students' cognitive aspects of Islamic moderation values. 2) The implementation of PAI learning by using a contextual learning model can improve students' active aspects of Islamic moderation values. 3) Implementation of PAI learning by using a contextual learning model can internalize Islamic moderation values to students

    The Effect of Teacher Social Support on Student Achievement Motivation

    The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of teachers' social support on the motivation of achievement students of class XI language department at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang City. The research method used is quantitative, with a simple linear regression data analysis technique. The number of respondents was 35 students, and the sampling technique used was random sampling. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence on student achievement motivation (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). While the effective contribution of the teacher's social support to achievement motivation was 58.8%, and the remaining 41.2% was influenced by other variables not included in this study

    Problem solving is one of the competencies of students developed in the mathematics learning curriculum in dealing with every problem both in learning and in everyday life. The focus of this research is to get a picture of the difficulty of students in solving mathematical problems in one of the State Junior High Schools in East Lombok district, NTB, Indonesia. Participants in this study were 29 students of class VIII consisting of 14 male students and 15 female students in the 2017/2018 school year. The selection of participants was done by purposive sampling. The research methodology used is a qualitative approach using test instruments for problem solving skills, interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results showed that: (1) students were not able to understand, identify, and interpret problems properly, (2) students were not able to make representations of problems into mathematical models, (3) students were not able to carry out problem solving strategies that had been made correctly, (4) students are not able to do calculations correctly and thoroughly, (5) all students are not able to make alternative strategies for solving problems, and (6) almost all students are indicated difficulties in aspects of language, a quarter of students in aspects of concepts/modeling, and almost half the students in applied aspects

    The purpose of this study is to find out (1) The use of media in learning history that has been taking place in the XI class of Sudirman Kupang Senior High School so far; (2) historical awareness of class XI Sudirman Kupang high school students; (3) Development of historical learning media based on the Japanese Cave Visualization in Kupang to increase historical awareness of class XI students at Sudirman Kupang High School; and (4) Effectiveness of the application of the Japanese Cave Visualization Media in Kupang in history learning in class XI of Sudirman Kupang High School. This research was conducted at Sudirman Kupang High School. This research is a research or development called research and development (R & D). The results showed that (1) the use of media in history learning that took place so far in class XI of Sudirman Kupang high school was still said to be minimal; (2) after learning in the classroom using the Kupang Japan cave visualization media, class XI students at Sudirman Kupang High School felt it was important to visit the Kupang Japan cave site; (3 development of historical learning media based on visualization of Japanese caves in Kupang was carried out through several stages including (a) the stage of material selection ie the researcher chooses the subject used in the development activity; c) producing a learning video, at this stage, the researcher utilizes Adobe photo shop CC 2015 software, Vegas pro 13, Adobe After Affact and Adobe Audition, (d) product validation.After validating the expert both material and media, the resulting product is declared (4) learning media based on Kupang Japan cave visualization is very effective in increasing the historical awareness of class XI students of Sudirman Kupang High School
