    FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT TRENDS

    The beginning of this century is characterized by deepening globalization and one of the main features of this process is global foreign direct investment flows. The relevance of foreign direct investment as a source of economic growth is inevitable and it has sound theoretical foundation. Despite this fact, many forces shaping the global economy receive a significant amount of attention, but foreign direct investment is often overlooked. Technological progress, trade and foreign direct investment are interrelated. Namely, foreign direct investment has greatly accelerated the spread of innovation and technology, while the technological advances especially in the era of Industry 4.0 have been driving the dynamics of foreign direct investment. Due to expected positive impacts, many countries are continuing policy efforts aimed at attracting foreign direct investment. However, foreign direct investment is experiencing new trends. Over the last few decades the global map of inward and outward foreign direct investment has changed significantly. There are new players with increasing roles in the global foreign direct investment area which are reshaping the world economy. Global foreign direct investment is undergoing a shift as emerging markets countries both inflows and outflows rise dramatically. For example, China’s outbound foreign direct investment has been growing dramatically in recent years, and impacted significant shifts in the global economy. Motives for foreign direct investment, as well as the type are changing due to globalization and new trends, especially high liberalization of trade. The proliferation of global value chains also influenced foreign direct investment trends. One of the examples is necessity of rethinking the framework on motives of foreign direct investment when analyzing emerging market multinational enterprises and their interdependent relationships within global value chains. The contribution of the paper is three-fold. Firstly, the paper gives an overview of key global and regional foreign direct investment trends. Secondly, key factors, as well as potential impacts of these changes are explored. Thirdly, paper offers recommendations for new investment policies

    The Importance of the Nurse as Part of a Multidisciplinary Team in Care of Children With Disabilities

    Previously, the general opinion was that the nurse was only in charge of patient care, but research to date has shown that the scope of work of a nurse is extremely complex and therefore, it occupies an important place in the treatment and care of them.Multidisciplinary teamwork has contributed to more effective treatment, better disease outcomes, shorter hospital stay, prevention of complications and a better quality of life. This way of working, besides the child itself, emphasizes the whole family, which makes it possible active involvement of parents through all stages of treatment, rehabilitation, professional therapy and support. Through this research, parents and caregivers of children with disabilities have acknowledged the involvement of the nurse as an important role, that she is an integral part of the care team for atypical children, that the scope of her work responsibilities and daily activities contribute to improving the quality of care, communication and social care as well as integration. The survey instrument was an anonymous questionnaire, and the obtained data were compared using Fisher’s exact test and Chi-square tests to examine whether there was statistical significance.The results change the awareness of the work, roles and importance of the work of the nurse with children with disabilities and emphasize active participation in all spheres of life of atypical children

    E-learning is the growing in modern education.We developed a system of e-learning for the specific subject(history), which we named e-teacher. The aim of this e-teacher isto make teaching and specifically testing and knowledgeassessment easier and more objective. System is basically website, at which students can register and participate in teachingand testing. System consists of number of different types of tests(two-week, monthly, three-months, final test), which on regulartime periods make assessment of student’s knowledge and theirprogress. Finally, this platform makes final mark for everystudent. The system tends to make teaching and testing objectiveand in a sense force students to study on the regular basis.System can also be used for evaluation of teachers and theirwork

    Настава има задатак да васпита и образује ученике, развија осјећај према друштву и преноси знања и искуства претходних генерација. На тај начин се ученици припремају за живот тако што у току пколовања стичи потребна знања и вјештине. Настава ликовне културе је важна како би се развијао естетски доживљај свијета, машта и емоције. На тај начин развијамо код ученика осјећај за лијепо, хармонично али и шта је то друштвено прихватљиво. Путем наставе ликовне културе ученик треба да усвоји знања о свим потребним начинима како да ствара хармонично друштво али и да га одржава. Како за циљ имамо стварање хуманог друштва у којем се поштују индивидуалне разлике појединца, тако је и настава ликовне културе веома важан фактор у развоју и васпитању тих особина како би се ученик развијао у зрелу личност која ће својим дјеловањем утицати да се међуљудски односи у једном друштву хумано развијају. Како би развој ученика био потпунм осим учења језика, математике, историје и других наука, веома важно је научити га да машта, уочава специфичности природе и свијета и да своје мишљење изражава слободно путем ликовног стваралаштва организованог у настави.     Approach in the development of lightweight microservice architecture for small data center monitoring system

    In the past decade there is a significant trend of implementing IoT technologies and standards in different industries. This trend brings cost reductions to the companies and other benefits as well. One of the main benefits is real-time and uniform data collection. The data are transferred using diverse communication protocols, from the sensor nodes to the centralized application. So far, current approaches in developing applications are not proved itself to be efficient enough in scenarios when a significant amount of data needs to be stored and analyzed. The focus of this paper is on development of software architecture suitable for usage in Internet of Things (IoT) systems where the larger amount of data can be processed in real-time. The software architecture is developed in order to support the sensor network for monitoring the small data center and it is based on microservices. Besides the system and its architecture, this paper presents the method of analysis of system performances in real-time environment. The proposal for lightweight microservice architecture, presented in this paper, is developed with .NET Core and RabbitMQ, with the utilization of MongoDB and SQLite databases systems for storing data collected with IoT devices. In this paper, the system evaluation and research results in different stress scenarios are also presented. Because of its complexity, only the most significant segments of architecture will be presented in this paper. The proposed solution showed that proposed lightweight architecture based on microservices could deal with the larger amount of sensor data in the case of using MongoDB. On the other hand, the usage of SQLite database is not recommended due to the lower performances and test results

    U radu se razmatra teorijski konceptreformske promene kurikulumai odnos nacionalnog i školskog kurikuluma,te nova struktura školskogkurikuluma. Cilj rada je da predstavikoncept obrazovanja usmerenogna ishode i kompetencije, te na otvaranjeprostora za stvaralački radnastavnika i učitelja.Kvalitet u svetu smatra se najznačajnijimfenomenom našeg doba, sastalnim trendom njegovog poboljšanja.Reč je o novoj filozofiji življenja.Vreme koje je pred nama, posmatrajućisa aspekta obrazovanja,sve više karakteriše porast potrebaza što kvalitetnijim znanjem. Reformskipokret strukture novog kurikulumadonosi važne promene posebnou shvatanju važnosti kurikuluma.Proces kreiranja kurikuluma akcentpomera sa teorijskog modelovanjana plan prakse i konteksta – društvenazajednica, škola, razred, porodica.Reformska promena sa klasičnihnastavnih planova i programana kurikulum predstavlja premeštanjetežišta obrazovnog procesa sasadržaja na kompetencije i ishodeobrazovanja, te razvoj sistema evaluacijei samoevaluacije u obrazo-vanju i zasnivanje obrazovnih sadržajana obrazovnim oblastima.Predmet ovog rada je sagledavanjenove strukture plana i programa ukoncept evropskog kvalitetnog obrazovanja.Osnovni korak u prelaskukurikularnog koncepta obrazovanjazasnovanog na ishodima podrazumevadefinisanje ishoda obrazovanjaza znanja, umenja, stavove ivrednosti koje učenici treba da posedujunakon završetka određenognivoa obrazovanja, a nastavnikovafunkcija jeste u usmeravanju togprocesa

    In order to validate the research instrument used to identify student perceptions of the quality of service provided by higher education institutions in the Republika Srpska-(Pan-European Apeiron University in Banja Luka, University of Banja Luka, University of East Sarajevo, Prijedor College of Medicine and University of Business Studies Banja Luka) (within a broader empirical study), its metric characteristics were determined. In our study, respondents expressed their estimation by choosing one of the positions on a five-point Likert scale. The numerical values of the ordinal scale arranged in this way corresponded to the intensity of the assessment of thirty service indicators, namely: 1 (much less than my expectations); 2 (less than my expectations); 3 (according to my expectations); 4 (more than my expectations); 5 (significantly more than my expectations). The value evaluation of the response is interpreted in accordance with the rule: (a) the perception of the quality of service “as expected” (if the scalar average is close to the quantitative value of three), (b) the perception of the quality of the service “below expectations” (when the scalar average is well below quantitative values of three), (c) perception of service quality “above expectations” (if it is a scalar average well above quantitative value of three) (Klarić & Kulišan, 2011). Also, in order to rank the importance of indicators, in manifest space, values of scalar averages (Mean) are used in interpretation (Nešić et al., 2017).The questionnaire, based on the HEDUQUAL scale, was tested using two procedures: (1) factor analysis (Principal Components Analysis, Direct Oblimin) and (2) Scale Reliability Analysis - based on Cronbach’s alpha coefficient). The sample of respondents consisted of a population of students attending one of the higher education institutions in the Republika Srpska, a total of 863 students (M = 265; F = 598) with an average age of 21.5 years. The results obtained confirm the good metric of the scale, both in terms of validity (KMO = 0.972; Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity = 14292.613; Sig. = 0.000) and in the context of its reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.966). All statistical inferences were conducted at a significance level of 0.05 (Sig. <, 05). The good metric characteristics of the instrument defined the quality basis for further analytical observations of the study results.Based on good metric characteristics obtained in this part of the study (whose task was to validate the survey questionnaire), it is reasonable to expect that, in continuing the analytical examination of the empirical results of the study, the research conclusions can be reasonably based on accurate and academically correct statistical background. Which is a prerequisite for the correct dissemination of the information obtained and, accordingly, a scientifically correct interpretation of the overall results of the study

    Obrazovanje kao uslov razvoja turizma

    Obrazovanje svih nivoa zaposlenih sve više postaje resurs koji utiče nakonkurentno poslovanje svake nacionalne ekonomije. Turizam, kao jedna odnajprofitabilnijih i najvećih industrija u svetu, ima ekspilicitan uticaj namakroekonomske agregate i povećava makroekonomsku stabilnost nacionalneekonomije, uz istovremeno ubrzanje lokalnog i regionalnog razvoja i porastzaposlenosti. Reč je o delatnosti koju karakteriše brz razvoj i primenainovativnih rešenja, te se sa pravom očekuje da ljudski resursi u turizmuposeduju odgovarajuće formalno obrazovanje odgovarajuće struke, kao i da sekonstantno stručno usavršavaju. Sve češće se nameće tvrdnja da za uspehsavremenog turističkog preduzeća (time i turističke destinacije) nije presudankapital, već nivo obrazovanja i znanja zaposlenih. Uporedo sa razvojemturizma, razvijaju se i kadrovi koji svoje životno i radno opredeljenje vezujuza ovu granu privrede. Paralelno, razvojnu evoluciju doživljavaju i obrazovneinstitucije koje školuju visokostručan i specijalizovan kadar iz oblasti turizma.U ovom radu želi se ukazati na značaj formalnog obrazovanja kadrova uturističkoj delatnosti, kao i značaj njihove permanentne obuke i treninga ucilju podizanja na viši nivo profesionalnosti. Poseban osvrt pružen je naznačaj obrazovanja u turizmu Republike Srpske
