PENGARUH DOSIS ARANG AKTIF TERHADAP PERKECAMBAHAN EMBRIO SOMATIK KEDELAI (Glycine max L.)
Soybeans (Glycine max L.) are a type of leguminous food crop that is important as a source of protein and vegetable oil, making them a good potential for human growth. Efforts that can be made to increase production and productivity while reducing imports and soybean development include the assembly of superior varieties through tissue culture, with regeneration through somatic embryogenesis. Somatic embryos that have been produced are matured to obtain seedlings by adding activated charcoal. This research aims to determine the effect and the appropriate dosage of activated charcoal for the germination of somatic embryos of soybeans. The research was conducted in the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University, Padang, from May to August 2023. The research was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatment levels of activated charcoal dosage, namely 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 g/l. The data were analyzed using a 5% level F test, and if the calculated F was greater than the Pr(>F), it was followed by a post hoc test using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results of the research show that the addition of activated charcoal to the media can germinate somatic embryos of soybean plants. In the media containing 2 g/l of activated charcoal, seedlings emerged at 27.15 days after sowing (DAS), and 96.67% of somatic embryos germinated. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produksi dan produktivitas dalam menekan jumlah impor dan pengengembangan kedelai yaitu dengan perakitan varietas unggul melalui kultur jaringan yang regenerasinya melalui embriogenesis somatik. Embrio somatik yang telah dihasilkan dilakukan maturasi untuk mendapatkan kecambah dengan metode penambahan arang aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan dosis arang aktif yang tepat untuk perkecambahan embrio somatik kedelai. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Andalas Padang, pada Mei sampau Agustus 2023. Penelitian disususn dalam Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 taraf perlakukan dengan dosis arang aktif 1, 1,5, 2, 2,5, dan 3 g/l. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji F taraf 5%, jika F hitung lebih besar dari Pr(>F) maka dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut dengan menggunakan Duncan Multipel Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian arang aktif pada media dapat mengecambakan embrio somatik tanaman kedelai. PENGARUH PEMANGKASAN STOLON DAN APLIKASI ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN STROBERI (Fragaria chiloensis L.)
This research aims to determine the effect of stolon pruning and the application of growth regulators on the growth and production of strawberry plants (Fragaria chiloensis L.). This research was located in Barus Jahe Village, Barus Jahe District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, with an altitude of 1,367 meters above sea level from March 2023 to May 2023. This research used a split plot design (RPT) consisting of a main plot; Stolon pruning consists of 4 levels, namely P0 = pruning all stolons, P1 = pruning 1 remaining stolon, P2 = pruning 2 remaining stolons, P3 = without pruning stolons. Subplot; The concentration of growth regulators consists of 4 levels, namely; K0 = Without giving ZPT, K1 = 1 cc/L water, K2 = 3 cc/L water, K3 = 5 cc/L water. The research results show that stolon pruning has a significant effect on the number of fruits per plant. Penelitian ini berlokasi di di Desa Barus jahe, Kecamatan Barus jahe, Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara, dengan ketinggian tempat 1.367 meter dpl pada bulan Maret 2023 sampai dengan Mei 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan petak terpisah (RPT) yang terdiri dari petak utama; Pemangkasan Stolon terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu P0 = Pemangkasan seluruh stolon, P1= Pemangkasan stolon sisa 1 P2 = Pemangkasan stolon sisa 2, P3 = Tanpa pemangkasan stolon. Anak petak; Konsentrasi Zat Pengatur Tumbuh terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu; K0 = Tanpa pemberian ZPT, K1= 1 cc/L air, K2 = 3 cc/L air, K3 = 5 cc/L air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pemangkasan stolon berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah buah per tanaman. ADAPTASI VARIETAS PADI INPAGO DAN INPARI DI LAHAN RAWA LEBAK DANGKAL PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
In the dry season, shallow lebak swamp lands experience dryness more quickly compared to other typologies so suitable varieties are recommended to be varieties that are tolerant to drought. The research aims to look at the growth performance, yield components, and productivity of the varieties studied in shallow lebak swamp lands. This activity was carried out in Sidakersa Village, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency, South Sumatra with a shallow lebak swamp agroecosystem, starting from April 2021 to August 2021 during the dry season. The treatment consisted of the rice varieties Inpari 22, Inpari 32, Inpago 10, and Inpago 9. The method used was a quantitative method by looking at the performance of each variety studied. The data obtained were compiled tabulated and analyzed using the one-way anova test and followed by the Duncan 5% test. The results showed that the growth of all varieties was good, none of them fell over and the number of productive tillers was moderate. The highest productivity was achieved by Inpari 9 and Inpari 10, namely 6.6 tons GKP/ha and 5.9 tons GKP/ha. Key-words: Adaptation, Rice, Shallow lebak swamp.INTISARI Pada musim kemarau, rawa lebak dangkal lebih cepat mengalami kekeringan dibandingkan dengan tipologi lainnya sehingga varietas yang sesuai dianjurkan varietas yang toleran terhadap kekeringan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat keragaan pertumbuhan, komponen hasil dan produktivitas dari varietas yang dikaji di rawa lebak dangkal. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sidakersa, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), Sumatera Selatan dengan agroekosisten rawa lebak dangkal, dimulai April 2021 sampai Agustus 2021 pada musim kemarau. Perlakuan terdiri dari varietas Padi Inpari 22, Inpari 32, Inpago 10 dan Inpago 9. Metoda yang digunakan adalah metode kuatitatif dengan melihat keragaan dari masing-masing varietas yang dikaji. Data yang diperoleh disusun secara tabulasi dan dianalisis dengan uji one way anova dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan 5%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan semua varietas baik tidak ada yang rebah dan jumlah anakan produktif tergolong sedang. Produktivitas tertinggi dicapai oleh Inpari 9 dan Inpari 10 yaitu 6,6 ton GKP/ha dan 5,9 ton GKP/ha. Kata kunci: Adaptasi, Padi, Rawa lebak dangka
PENGENDALIAN HAMA KUMBANG TANDUK MENGGUNAKAN POC AIR NIRA DAN NANAS PADA TANAMAN KELAPA SAWIT DI DESA BINANGA DUA KABUPATEN LABUHAN BATU SELATAN
This research aims to test the effectiveness of using liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from sap and pineapple water in controlling horn beetle pests (Oryctes rhinoceros) on oil palm plants in private plantations in Tandikat hamlet, Silangkitang. The approach used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four treatments, namely N0 (control), N1 (100% pineapple starch), N2 (500 grams of pineapple + 1 liter LOF of palm juice), and N3 (500 grams of pineapple + 2 liters of LOF sap water) each repeated four times. The parameters observed included the number of horn beetles caught and those that died. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the significance value of the treatment was <0.05, indicating that there was a real effect of the treatment on the number of horn beetles caught and killed. Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) further test indicated that the N0 treatment was significantly different from the N2 and other treatments. N2 treatment proved to be the best treatment, showing high effectiveness in controlling horn beetle pests. The conclusion of this research is that the use of LOF from pineapple and palm juice is significantly effective in controlling horn beetle pests on oil palm and is an environmentally friendly alternative to the use of chemical pesticides.Keywords: pests; horn beetles; liquid organic fertilizer; pineappl
STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHA KRIPIK UBI PADA KELOMPOK USAHA OPANG MADANGU DI DESA BIDIPRAING KECAMATAN LEWA TIDAHU KABUPATEN SUMBA TIMUR
The aim of this research is to analyze internal and external problems consisting of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as well as strategies for developing the sweet potato chips business in the Opang Madangu business group in Bidipraing Village, Lewa Tidahu District, East Sumba. This type of research uses descriptive and quantitative research methods. This research involved 12 informants. The accidental sampling method was used in sampling. The data analysis method used is SWOT analysis to determine the evaluation matrix of internal factors (IFE), external factors (EFE), internal external (IE), strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT) and strategic plans, as well as a quantitative matrix (QSPM) . The research results show that the internal element which is the most important strength is the abundance of raw materials and the biggest weakness is the lack of knowledge and the external factor which is the biggest opportunity is cooperation from other industries or market partners. The biggest threat to the sweet potato chips business in the Opang Madangu business group is changes in consumer tastes. The main strategy for developing Opang Madangu commercial chips is product innovation so that consumers have more diverse choices. INTISARI Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis permasalahan internal dan eksternal yang terdiri dari kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman serta strategi pengembangan usaha kripik ubi pada kelompok usaha Opang Madangu di Desa Bidipraing Kecamatan Lewa Tidahu Sumba Timur. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 12 informan. Metode accidental sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT untuk penentuan matriks evaluasi faktor internal (IFE), faktor eksternal (EFE), internal eksternal (IE), kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, ancaman (SWOT) dan rencana strategis, serta matriks kuantitatif (QSPM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur internal yang menjadi kekuatan terpenting adalah banyaknya bahan baku dan kelemahan terbesar adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan faktor eksternal yang menjadi peluang terbesar adalah kerjasama dari industri lain atau mitra pasar. Ancaman terbesar usaha kripik ubi pada kelompok usaha Opang Madangu adalah perubahan selera konsumen. PREFERENSI KONSUMEN TERHADAP PEMBELIAN BUAH PEPAYA (Carica papaya L) DI PASAR TRADISIONAL GIWANGAN KOTA YOGYAKARTA
Consumers have preferences that must be understood by producers, sellers, and marketers, as these preferences influence consumer likes and dislikes. Consumer preferences for the attributes of papaya (Carica papaya L) aim to determine the most preferred attributes by consumers in the Giwangan traditional market. The research was conducted using survey techniques, interviews, and questionnaires. The research location was deliberately chosen at the Giwangan fruit and vegetable traditional market due to the consideration that it is the main fruit market in the city of Yogyakarta. The researcher took a sample of 32 respondents. The analysis used is the chi-square analysis. The chi-square analysis shows that consumer preferences for papayas at the Giwangan market are for papayas that have a sweet taste, a skin color with a yellow blush, a firm flesh texture, and a medium sized fruit
PENGARUH PUPUK KANDANG SAPI DAN BERBAGAI JARAK TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BAWANG DAUN PADA TANAH GAMBUT
Scallions ( Allium fistulosum L.) are a horticultural crop commodity that is worthy of intensive development in Indonesia, especially in Pontianak, West Kalimantan Province. Peat soil has great potential for the development and cultivation of spring onions. Efforts that can be made to overcome the very low availability of nutrients are cow manure. One cultivation technique that can be used to increase leek production is by adjusting plant spacing. This research was carried out on research land located on Jalan Sungai Raya Dalam, Alam Mulia Housing Complex starting on 15 September – 2 November 2023. This research aims to obtain the best dose of cow manure for the growth and yield of leek plants on peat soil and to obtain the best planting distance for the growth and yield of leek plants on peat soil. This research was carried out using a field experimental method with a Split Plot Design pattern , namely: The first factor is the distance between the plants for the main plot: j 1 = 20 cm x 20 cm, j 2 = 20 cm x 25 cm and j 3 = 20 cm x 30 cm. The second factor is cow manure as a sub plot: p 1 = 10 tonnes/ha, p 2 = 20 tonnes/ha and p 3 = 30 tonnes/ha. The observation variables consist of: Root Volume, Plant Dry Weight, Number of Leaves/clump, Plant Height, Number of Saplings/clump and Fresh Weight of the plant. From research that has been carried out, the interaction of using a planting distance of 20 x 25 cm and 10 tonnes/ha of cow manure shows the best growth and yield of leek plants on peat soil
TINGKAT KETERGANTUNGAN PETANI TERHADAP SUMBER DAYA HUTAN DI HKM ALAM LESTARI RESORT JANGKOK LOMBOK BARAT
Penelitian ini dilakukan di HKm Alam Lestari, Resort Jangkok, Kabupaten Lombok Barat dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat ketergantungan petani terhadap sumber daya hutan serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi ketergantungan terhadap sumber daya hutan. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian yaitu metode deskriptif. Perhitungan ketergantungan menggunakan dua aspek, yaitu pendapatan dan serapan tenaga kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata pendapatan petani dari HKm sebesar 24.686.553,52/LLG/tahun atau sekitar 82,66% dari total pendapatan keseluruhan petani. Adapun rata-rata serapan tenaga kerja HKm sebesar 199.75 HOK/orang/tahun atau sekitar 70,77% dari total keseluruhan. Tingkat ketergantungan petani di HKm Alam Lestari masuk dalam kategori Tinggi dengan nilai skor 779,04. Adapun faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi ketergantungan petani antara lain sumber penghasilan, produktivitas hasil hutan, produktivitas kerja, dan kesempatan kerja di bidang lain
PENGARUH HERBISIDA ISOPROPIL AMINA GLIFOSAT 555 g/l TERHADAP PENGENDALIAN GULMA PADA TANAMAN KAKAO
Cocoa is a plant that is quite important for the national economy. However, in the production process there are several obstacles faced, such as the presence of weeds. Therefore, control measures need to be taken. An effective way to control weeds is to use herbicides. One of the herbicides that can be used is the herbicide isopropyl amine glyphosate 555 g/l. The aim of the experiment was to test the effect of the herbicide for weed control in cocoa cultivation. The experiment was carried out in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra Province from August to December 2020. The design used was a Randomized Block Design consisting of 7 treatments and 3 replications. Isopropyl amine glyphosate herbicide treatment 555 g/l with doses of 0.75, 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 1.75 l/ha, manual weeding and control. The research results show that: (1) The herbicide isopropyl amine glyphosate 555 g/l can generally control weeds in cocoa cultivation for up to 12 weeks after application; (2) The effective dose to control weeds in cocoa cultivation is 0.75 – 1.50 l/ha because it has relatively the same results as manual weeding and a dose of 1.75 l/ha; (3) Isopropyl amine glyphosate herbicide 555 g/l with a dose range of 0.75 – 1.75 l/ha until observation 6 weeks after application did not show any symptoms of poisoning on cocoa plants. Namun dalam proses produksinya terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi seperti adanya gulma. Oleh karena itu, tindakan pengendalian perlu dilakukan. Cara efektif untuk mengendalikan gulma adalah dengan menggunakan herbisida. Salah satu herbisida yang dapat digunakan adalah herbisida isopropil amina glifosat 555 g/l. Tujuan percobaan adalah untuk menguji pengaruh herbisida terhadap pengendalian gulma pada budidaya kakao. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, Provinsi Sumatera Barat pada bulan Agustus sampai Desember 2020. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 7 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan herbisida isopropil amina glifosat 555 g/l dengan dosis 0,75, 1,00, 1,25, 1,50, 1,75 l/ha, penyiangan manual dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Herbisida isopropil amina glifosat 555 g/l secara umum dapat mengendalikan gulma pada budidaya kakao hingga 12 minggu setelah aplikasi; (2) Dosis efektif untuk mengendalikan gulma pada budidaya kakao adalah 0,75 – 1,50 l/ha karena mempunyai hasil yang relatif sama dengan penyiangan manual dan dosis 1,75 l/ha; (3) Herbisida isopropil amina glifosat 555 g/l dengan kisaran dosis 0,75 – 1,75 l/ha hingga pengamatan 6 minggu setelah aplikasi tidak menunjukkan gejala keracunan pada tanaman kakao. KETERKAITAN TEKNIK BUDIDAYA MANGGA DENGAN PENDAPATAN PETANI (SUATU KASUS PADA PETANI MANGGA MAJALENGKA DAN CIREBON)
West Java is one of the provinces that has potential for mango cultivation because it has a climate that is suitable for this plant. However, in 2023 there will be a decline in mango production, followed by an increase in the level of mango consumption in Indonesia, which is indicated to be influenced by the way farmers cultivate mango plants. The aim of this research is to identify farmer characteristics and relate mango cultivation techniques to farmer income in two mango production centers in West Java, namely Majalengka and Cirebon. The research method used is descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests. Respondent selection used a two-stage stratified sampling technique. The sample for this research was 258 mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon. The research results show that the majority of mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon have a productive age range of 45 - 60 years with an elementary school education level and their main job is as mango farmers. Meanwhile, judging from the cultivation techniques, the majority of mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon plant mangoes in gardens/fields with the majority of farmers in Majalengka implementing a polyculture planting pattern, while Cirebon is more dominant in implementing a monoculture planting pattern with the gedong gincu variety as the main variety. Then, the majority of mango farmers in Majalengka and Cirebon have implemented off season technology in their mango cultivation activities. Mango farmers who have a risk-averse nature carry out harvesting independently and control pests. The majority of mango farmers use pesticides as a means of controlling pests. Then, there is a significant relationship between planting location, use of off season technology, and pest control and farmer income in Majalengka and Cirebon.Key-words: Mango cultivation techniques, farmer income, planting location, off season technology, pest control
