Analysis of Interest and Scientific Literacy Skills of Senior High School in Learning Physics
Scientific literacy is a person's ability to understand science, communicate science, and apply scientific knowledge to solve problems so that they have high attitudes and sensitivity to themselves and their environment in making decisions based on scientific considerations. This study aims to determine the understanding of high school students regarding scientific literacy and to determine the effect of high school students' interest in learning on science literacy learning outcomes. This study involved 201 high school students in Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Gresik. This study uses a mixed-method, namely, by using a quantitative approach and a qualitative approach. Quantitative analysis was perform using regression and correlation tests. The qualitative research obtains from questionnaires and interviews with students. The answers from students categorized into four levels, namely a score of 0 (did not answer the questions), score 1 (responded to questions but not quite right), score 2 (answered correctly) and score 3 (answered correctly) with exact categories). From the research results, it can conclude that students' understanding of scientific literacy is still low. The regression test where the significance value is 0.095> 0.05, which means that there is no influence of students' interest in learning on the results of students' scientific literacy skills, while the correlation test shows that the correlation between students' interests and the effects of scientific literacy skills (r) is 0.118. This indicates that there is a shallow relationship between students 'interest in learning and the consequences of high school students' scientific literacy skills. This research recommended that students can improve their understanding of scientific literacy by getting used to reading scientific literacy before learning begins so that students' interest in reading scientific phenomena increases
Quality Analysis of Briquettes based on Waterding with Variation of Pressure and Pellet Geometry to Water Content and Value of Calories
This study is a research on water hyacinth-based briquettes which shows the calorific value of each form of briquettes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of water hyacinth briquettes with variations in pressure and pellet geometry. The quality analyzed includes moisture content and calorific value. The method of making briquettes starts from charcoal, pounding, then mixing with tapioca starch adhesive. The composition of the mixture used is 90% water hyacinth charcoal with 10% tapioca starch adhesive. 4 geometric variations are used, namely, solid box, hollow box, solid tube and hollow tube with 3 pressure variations, namely, 10 PSI, 20 PSI and 30 PSI. Test results and analysis,briquettes at a pressure of 20 PSI produces a calorific value range of 91.15 - 150.14 cal / gram. The resulting calorific value is higher than the briquettes at a pressure of 10 PSI and 30 PSI with a heating value range of 93.84 - 148.79 cal / gram and 89.81 - 135.39 cal / gram. Hollow briquettes produce a calorific value range of 107.24 - 150.14 cal / gram higher than solid geometric briquettes which produce a heating value range of 89.81 - 148.79 cal / gram. So that the contribution of the results of this research is that the community makes briquettes with shape and pressure with good results shown in this study
The Impact of Environmental Based Physics Learning on Students' Concept Mastery and Ecopreneurship Management
Strengthening ecopreneurship plays an important role in preparing students for success in the life and career of students, but this skill is not well trained in learning physics. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of environment-based physics learning on students' mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship. This research is a quasi experimental research with one group pretest and posttest design. The research subjects were 29 students of the physics education study program, Surabaya State University, Indonesia, who programmed basic physics courses. The data collection technique used a conceptual mastery test instrument and ecopreneurship. The data analysis technique used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Paired t-test, Wilcoxon test, and N-Gain. The results showed a significant increase in students' mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship at α = 5%, with mean N-gain of 0.63 and 0.60, respectively, within the moderate criteria. Thus, environment-based physics learning has a significant impact on increasing student mastery of concepts and ecopreneurship
Ecotourism-Based Learning Models in Efforts to Implement Effective Learning: A conceptual research
Various previous studies have shown that ecotourism has great potential and benefits when associated with education and especially in learning. This review study aimed to explore an ecotourism-based learning model at the high school level in Malang, East Java. The focused in the review were (1) competencies and indicators of learning outcomes of all subjects in all subjects that could apply ecotourism-based learning 2) the potential for regional ecotourism (especially school environments in East Java) which could be used for ecotourism-based learning based on competencies and outcome indicators learning, and 3) drafted recommendations for learning models based on ecotourism. Based on the results of a review of various references, it can be stated that four things need to be considered in the application of an ecotourism-based learning model, namely the conceptual framework, planning, implementation, evaluation, and furthering the ecotourism-based learning model. Furthermore, It was necessary to develop an ecotourism-based Learning Model that follows an appropriate development model, so that an implementable model is produced
Pembuatan Filter Penangkap Emas (Au) Menggunakan Kitin dan Kitosan dari Cangkang Kepiting
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisa perbandingan kapasitas penyerapan antara kitin, kitosan dan campuran kitin-kitosan dari cangkang kepiting sebagai filter penangkapEmas (Au).Pembuatan kitin dan kitosan dari cangkang kepiting dimulai dengan melakukan demineralisasi menggunakan HCl 1,5 M, deproteinasi menggunakan NaOH 3,5% dan deasetilasi menggunakan HCl 60%. Kitosan yang terbentuk dikarakterisasi dan dianalisa kemampuannya dalam menyerap emas menggunakan AAS (Atomic Absorbsion Spectroscopy). Hasil analisa menggunakan AAS menunjukan, kitin mampu menyerap 67,76 %, campuran kitin-kitosan 83,57 % dan kitosan 87,82%, Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kitosan memiliki persentasi penyerapan lebih baik terhadap Emas (Au)
Pengaruh Metode Konsep Map terhadap Hasil belajar siswa
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; bagaimanakah pengaruh metode konsep map terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MA NW Kotaraja tahun pembelajaran 2016/2017.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan post test control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X-IPA yang berjumlah dua kelas.Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes ganda yang diberikan diakhir proses pembelajaran. Uji prasyarat analisis yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas data menggunakan rumus Lilliforsdan homogenitas data menggunakan uji-Barleth, dari hasil uji didapatkan semua data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Berdasarkan hasil uji menggunakan uji-t didapat t-hit = 7,148 dan t-tab = 1,671, atau t-hit > t-tab, dan rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen = 75 dan kelas kontrol = 57, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pengaruh metode konsep map lebih baik dari metode konvensional terhadap hasil belajar siswa
Efektivitas Pembelajaran Berbasis Daring pada Mata Kuliah Profesi Kependidikan
Perkuliahan daring (online) merupakan sarana utama dalam pembelajaran ketika wabah Pandemi Covid-19. Tidak terkecuali jurusan pendidikan olahraga dan kesehatan FIKKM UNDIKMA Mataram yang menggunakan sarana aplikasi online, seperti whatsapp grup, google classroom, dan media aplikasi lain ketika perkuliahan daring. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektifitas perkuliahan daring pada mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan olahraga dan kesehatan FIKKM UNDIKMA yang mengampu MK Profesi Kependidikan di Semester tiga di saat Pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survey melalui google form secara online. Hasil pengujiannya dihasilkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan olahraga dan kesehatan FIKKM UNDIKMA yang mengampu MK Profesi kependidikan mengikuti perkuliahan daring dirumah menggunakan gadget (hp) dengan koneksi data dalam keadaan sinyal internet yang cukup baik. Perkuliahan daring memberikan gambaran umum tentang kurang optimalnya pemahaman materi dan banyaknya tugas yang diberikan pada mahasiswa sehingga mengakibatkan proses perkuliahan yang kurang efektif. Sedangkan untuk sistem perkuliahan yang efektif selama pandemi adalah daring dan luring secara bergantian dengan memperhatikan prinsip protocol pencegahan Covid-19
PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS ANIMASI SWISH MAX 4 UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tingkat kelayakan media yang di kembangkan pada materi perpindahan kalor dan untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Media Animasi dikembangkan dengan menggunakan softwareswishmax 4 dan menggunakan tahapan sesuai Model pengembangan 4D tetapi hanya sampai pada 3D. Media Animasi dikembangkan dengan prosedur (1) define, (2) design, (3) development, tanpa melalui (4) dissimination. Skor rata-rata uji validasi adalah 3,45 dengan presentase keseluruhan 87% dengan kategori sangat valid. Uji coba dilakukan di SMKN 1 Lingsar kelas X yang berjumlah 31 siswa untuk mengukur tingkat kreativitas siswa, telah menerima materi perpindahan kalor. Soal tes digunakan pada penilaian tingkat kreatif siswa, Rata-rata kreativitas siswa yang diperoleh dari soal tes yaitu 85,28 dengan skor presentase keseluruhan 85% dengan kategori sangat kreatif. Berdasarkan skor rata-rata dari data yang diperoleh melebihi skor 25%. Sedangkan angket digunkan untuk melihat respon siswa terhadap media yang dikembangkan, skor rata-rata keseluruhan yang didapat yaitu 3,4 dengan presentase hasil sebesar 88% dengan kategori sangat setuju. Disimpulkan bahwa media animasi yang telah dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran perpindahan kalor dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa
Penggunaan Media TIK untuk Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa pada Pembelajaran Al-Quran di SDN 6 Mataram
The purpose of this study is to improve student achievement through the use of ICT media in learning the Qur'an in class IV SDN 6 Mataram. This study uses a class action research method which consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The research instruments used were observation sheets and tests. While the technical analysis of the data of this study uses descriptive qualitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The results of this study concluded that (1) problem-based learning has a positive impact in improving student achievement which is marked by an increase in student learning completeness in each cycle, namely cycle I (58.33%), cycle II (77.77%), cycle III (88.88%). (2) The use of ICT media in learning the Qur'an has a positive effect, which can improve student achievement shown by the results of observations of students during the learning process
Pembelajaran Kooperatif Berbasis Tutor Sebaya untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPA Materi Pesawat Sederhana di SMPN 1 Kayangan
The research aims to describe the cooperative learning strategies of peer tutor types that can improve the learning outcomes of Science students grade VIII SMP Negeri I Kayangan. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research done is research into class action. This research was conducted at SMPN I Kayangan in Juli- September 2019 in 2 phases, namely pre action and stage of action. The action phase is implemented in 2 cycles and each cycle consists of 3 meetings. The results of this research can be concluded that the steps of Science learning that can improve student learning results are initiated by the presentation of the class by the teacher, the formation of groups heterogeneous, each group led by tutors Peers, teachers control when discussions take place, giving students time for class presentations, and ending with guiding students to conclude the material they are learning. Meanwhile, the increase of learning to learn students from cycle I test results and cycle test results II 65.39%.
