Pengembangan Petunjuk Praktikum Biologi SMA melalui Metode Daring untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa
The purpose of this study was to develop online methodology for high school biology practicum instructions and their effectiveness on students' science process skills. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA SMA Al-Hamzar Tembeng Putik, Wanasaba District, East Lombok Regency. The type of research used is development research that produces products in the form of high school biology practicum instructions with online methods. The development procedure carried out in this study is in accordance with the steps based on the Borg & Gall model, with the following stages: 1) research and data collection; 2) planning; 3) development of the initial product draft; 4) initial field trials; 5) revised trial results; 6) field test of the main product; 7) product revision; 8) wide-scale field trials / feasibility tests; 9) final product revision; and 10) dissemination and implementation. This research is only up to the 7th stage. The research instrument used was the observation sheet and the validation sheet. The results showed that the high school biology practicum guide developed using the online method, based on the results of the validation that has been done, the score is 2.96 which is included in the valid category. As for the students' science process skills, the score was 70.5 in the skilled category, 81.5 in the highly skilled category, and 92 in the very skilled category
Pengembangan Handout Berbasis Penelitian Uji Daya Antibakteri Ekstrak Daun dan Kulit Batang Mahoni (Swietenia mahagoni)
The purpose of this study was to develop a handout based on the results of research on the antibacterial power of mahogany leaf and bark extract (Swietenia mahagoni). This research is a development research which refers to the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. The research object was students of the Biology Education Study Program, FSTT, Mandalika University of Education who had taken the Microbiology course. Handouts were validated by material expert validators, media experts, and a readability test to assess the practicality of handouts was carried out by students of the Biology Education Study Program, FSTT, Mandalika University of Education. The data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The percentage of results from the validation of experts in microbiology material was 97.61%, the validation of the instructional media experts was 97.72%, and the readability test by students was 91.79%. The results showed that handouts based on the results of research on the antibacterial power of mahogany leaf and bark extracts were very valid and suitable for use as teaching materials
PENENTUAN NILAI SPF DAN UJI ANTIBAKTERI Staphylococcus aureus EKSTRAK DAUN DAN KULIT BATANG TANAMAN BANGKAL (Nauclea Subdita)
Tanaman bangkal adalah tanaman khas kalimantan selatan. Umumnya masyarakat kalimantan selatan menggunakan kulit tanaman bangkal untuk kosmetik dan daun tanaman bangkal untuk pengobatan tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan tabir surya yang ditentukan melalui penentuan nilai SPF (Sun Protection Factor) dan uji antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada ekstrak etanol daun dan kulit batang tanaman bangkal (Nauclea subdita). Penentuan nilai SPF dilakukan menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dan uji antibakteri ekstrak terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Klindamisin sebagai kontrol positif digunakan untuk menjadi pembanding aktivitas antibateri. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa nilai SPF meningkat sesuai dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi ekstrak, baik untuk ekstrak daun maupun ekstrak kulit batang tanaman bangkal. Secara keseluruhan nilai SPF ekstrak daun lebih tinggi dibandingkan ekstrak kulit batang tanaman bangkal. Uji antibakteri pada ekstrak daun dan kulit batang tanaman bangkal menunjukkan bahwa zona hambat yang terbesar dihasilkan oleh aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak daun tanaman bangkal dengan konsentrasi 300 ppm dan kekuatan antibakterinya termasuk kategori sedang, sedangkan ekstrak kulit batang tanaman bangkal tidak menunjukkan ada zona hambat.
Description of Student Discipline Attitudes at SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City
Attitude is a form of one's perception of an object which is depicted through the expression of accepting, rejecting, or ignoring. Discipline attitude is the accuracy in following the rules of the game that has been agreed upon. The purpose of this study was to describe the disciplinary attitudes of student learning towards four indicators in SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City. The research method uses descriptive research. The instrument used was a learning discipline attitude questionnaire. The sample in the study amounted to 69 students. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. The research instrument used was a learning discipline attitude questionnaire. The questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with the help of SPSS 21. The results showed that the learning discipline attitude of dominant students in the category always consisted of 2 indicators, namely obeying and obeying school rules and good attention when learning in class, and also The attitude of student learning discipline is dominant in the frequent category which consists of 2 indicators, namely managing study time at home diligently and regularly studying and doing assignments. Based on the results of the study, it was found that students' learning discipline attitude at SMP Negeri 16 Jambi City in 4 indicators had a positive attitude in the always and often category
Exploration of Student Thinking Process in Proving Mathematical Statements
A mathematical statement is not a theorem until it has been carefully derived from previously proven axioms, definitions and theorems. The proof of a theorem is a logical argument that is given deductively and is often interpreted as a justification for statements as well as a fundamental part of the mathematical thinking process. Studying the proof can help decide if and why our answers are logical, develop the habit of arguing, and make investigating an integral part of any problem solving. However, not a few students have difficulty learning it. So it is necessary to explore the student's thought process in proving a statement through questions, answer sheets, and interviews. The ability to prove is explored through 4 (four) proof schemes, namely Scheme of Complete Proof, Scheme of Incomplete Proof, Scheme of unrelated proof, and Scheme of Proof is immature. The results obtained indicate that the ability to prove is influenced by understanding and the ability to see that new theorems are built on previous definitions, properties and theorems; and how to present proof and how students engage with proof. Suggestions in this research are to change the way proof is presented, and to change the way students are involved in proof; improve understanding through routine proving new mathematical statements; and developing course designs that can turn proving activities into routine activities
Multidimensional Analysis of Environmental Literacy (Sensitivity, Knowledge, Belief, and Behavior of Environment) of Prospective Teachers
Sensitivity, knowledge, belief, and behavior to the environment will bring out good behavior that leads to environmental literacy (EL). This study aimed at analyzing the students’ EL based on the multidimensional perspective. This study comprised of two types, namely library and field research. Questionnaire was developed from The Second Minnesota Report Card on EL. This study was conducted in FKIP-UMM at undergraduate level, from July to October 2020. The types of data were in the form of qualitative and quantitative. The data were obtained from the results of Google Form. The population of this study was the students of FKIP-UMM, in which it consisted of 2.750 students. The subjects were chosen randomly by sharing the link of Google Form thru the WhatsApp group so that 139 students (5%) were obtained. The data and EL findings were analyzed descriptively qualitative analytic. Scaling multidimensional analysis was carried out by using ordination that continued with scaling and percentage processes. The results indicated that (1) Environmental sensitivity tends to show various conditions. (2) Environmental knowledge also tends to vary. (3) Environmental beliefs tend to be good. (4) Environmental behavior in students tends to be good
Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Kognitif dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation (GI) Pada Siswa Kelas X MIA SMAS NW Mataram Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019
The purpose of this study was to improve students cognitive learning outcomes through Cooperative Group Investigation learning model in 10th grade student MIA 2 of NW Mataram senior high school 2018/2019. The subjects of this study were 10th grade student MIA 2 of NW Mataram senior high school 2018/2019. This is a classroom action research (CAR) using two cycles. The instruments used in this study were lesson plan observation sheets (RPP) and student cognitive learning outcomes test sheets as many as 20 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. The results in the first cycle of the first meeting reached 63.63% with good categories and at the second meeting reached 88.8% with very good categories, while for students' cognitive learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average value of 59 with the classical completeness reached 46% with category is not complete. Meanwhile, in the second cycle at the first meeting of learning implementation (RPP) reached 72.72% with a good category and at the second meeting reached 94.44% with a very good category and for cognitive learning outcomes students in the second cycle obtained an average value of 72 with a classical completeness achieved 76%. Thus, it can be concluded that the results of this study indicate an increase in the cognitive learning outcomes of 10th grade students through cooperative learning model type Group Investigation in MIA 2 NW Mataram 2018/2019
PENERAPAN MODEL PARTICIPATORY RURAL APPRAISAL (PRA) DALAM MEWUJUDKAN PROGRAM “MEMBANGUN DESA” DAN “DESA MEMBANGUN”
Abstrak: Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk peningkatan kualitas hidup adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat Desa dalam rangka mengembangkan kemandirian dan kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, keterampilan, perilaku, kemampuan, kesadaran, serta memanfaatkan sumber daya melalui penetapan kebijakan, program, kegiatan, dan pendampingan yang sesuai dengan esensi masalah dan prioritas kebutuhan masyarakat Desa tersebut. Fokus tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran program kemasyarakatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Desa Sepapan. Lokasi penelitian mengambil dua dusun yaitu Dusun Orong Bukal dan Batu Golok. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan mulai Juli-Oktober 2020. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif karena Desa Sepapan merupakan desa baru, yang berdiri tahun 2012. Model karakteristik penelitian kualitatif akan sangat memudahkan peneliti dalam menemukan dan memahami pertanyaan penelitian, karena kualitatif menggunakan multiple methods that are interactive and humanistic. Penelitian ini akan menghasilkan output peneitian yaitu publikasi ilmiah di jurnal prodi (di kampus luar Undikma). Hasil penelitian ada dua yaitu program pembangunan infrastruktur perdesaan (PPIP) dan program posyandu desa. Hal penting dalam PPIP adalah 1) Pelibatan masyarakat miskin dalam program PPIP, 2) Manfaat yang diperoleh, 3) Pelaksana yang ahli, 4) Sumberdaya, 5) Strategi program, 6) Karakteristik lembaga penyelenggara dan 7) Respon masyarakat terhadap program PPIP. Rekam data pada program posyandu adalah terakit 1) Tujuan, sasaran dan fungsi posyandu, 2) Program Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA), 3) Program KB, 4) Program imunisasi dan 5) Pencegahan dan Penanggulangan Diare atau mencret. Artinya dari hasil penelitian, peneliti tidak menemukan Model PRA dalam pelaksanaan program desa karena Desa Sepapan tergolong desa bar. Kata kunci : PRA, Infrastruktur, Perdesaan dan Posyand
INFLUENCE OF COLLABORATIVE STRATEGIC READING (CSR) IN TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION
This study is aimed to find out whether there is a significant difference in reading achievement between the students who are taught by using CSR and that of the students who are taught by using another technique. This study used quasi experimental design. This research was conducted from January 13 to February 17, 2014. The participants of this study were the second year students of State Islamic Junior High School of Yogyakarta II. There were two intact classes taken as the subject of this study. Each class consisted of 32 students performing as experimental group and 32 students as a control group. The pretest and posttest were used as the instrument to collect the data. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. The research findings showed that after students were taught by using collaborative strategic reading, the students’ mean score of the experimental group was higher (68.12) than that of the mean score of the control group (60.75) with mean difference 7.22. The F value (12.74) was higher than the F table (4.00) with 5 % level in the degree of freedom was 60 and the p value (.001) was lower than (.05)
SOLVING THE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING DIFFICULTIES THROUGH INTERVIEW AND JOKE AT MTS AL-MUSLIMUN NW TEGAL BATULAYAR
This Action Research has been conducted to see how interview and joke are effective in solving the students’ speaking difficulties at MTs AL-Muslimun NW Tegal. This research is aimed at conducting an enjoy strategy to teach speaking. This research have been conducted since March 2015, it is done in four procedures in giving the treatment; planning, action, observing and reflecting. Then, pre-test and post-test are also the applied in collecting the data. Meanwhile, the students consists two classes A and B, each class there are 23 students. B class was chosen as the sample. They are chosen because of a reason: the students do not have motivation to learn English. It is proved with the findings in pre-test, most of them in answering and expressing their ideas got a lot of mistaken and do not know what to do. After the treatment done, the significant change happen. It could be seen from the finding at post-test, most of them in understanding and answering the question they got better. It also proved with their pronunciation, vocabularies, fluent and accuracy getting better and better. It means that the interview and joke is one of the method teaching and learning good to be applied. This analyzing is temporarily dealing with the findings; it will be completed at the final report
