Exploring Spiritual Intelligence: Are there Implications for Classroom Practice?
Christian educators strive to provide classroom environments that tap into all recognised intelligences that have the added incentive of helping prepare their students for a relationship with Jesus Christ. This chapter provides information pertaining to the intelligence that is most important in the Christian School context. For the past half-century, scholars have been working to understand how the brain interprets, comprehends, and examines the world. The recognition of nine intelligences has provided teachers with the potential for engaging with students and enabling them to perform at their best. This chapter explores spiritual intelligence, ascertaining its origins and evolution. It introduces those scholars who have contributed to the concept\u27s development, providing evidence of the acknowledgement and advancement of this intelligence within organisations and educational settings, with a focus on its practice and application
Christian Early Childhood Leadership: Relational Values and Practices
Using the tools of constructive grounded theory, this research investigated the relational values and practices implemented by Christian early childhood leaders. Data was collected through a survey-questionnaire from leaders in Christian early childhood centres in New South Wales, Australia as well as four in-depth case studies using semi-structured interviews, observations and document analysis. The findings showed that these leaders placed their relationship with God at the centre of everything they did. Based on this relationship they implemented six relational values of accepting, welcoming, loving, respecting, empathising and caring. These Christian values were then reflected in their daily relational practices, and were identified as empowering others, supporting others, modelling authenticity, providing social justice, ministering, helping and serving

The New Covenant of Exodus
While the concept of the new covenant is well testified to and expressed in the New Testament, it is directly mentioned only once in the Old Testament (Jeremiah 31:31–34). Yet a careful reading of the book of Exodus indicates that the new covenant was actually declared and offered to God’s people as they camped at the foot of Mount Sinai and is therefore deeply embedded in God’s approach to His chosen people throughout history

An Evaluation of Teacher Stressors in an era of COVID-19: An Initial Analysis
School lockdowns prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic has required teachers to work in a climate of rapid and significant adaptation. In this paper, which is part of a larger study, we provide a summary of the effects the COVID-19 school lockdowns in 2020 had on teacher stress. The paper outlines firstly the specific teacher stressors that existed before 2020 as well as the additional stressors that became apparent during and since the COVID-19 pandemic, as identified in scholarly literature. Secondly, the paper provides a brief overview of the responses from teachers in the 48 schools within Adventist Schools Australia (ASA) to an online survey designed to explore their workplace stressors surrounding the school lockdowns in 2020. Overall, there was a general increase in workplace stress during the COVID-19 school lockdowns, but it was not the degree that has been reported in previous literature
