    Pelatihan Keterampilan Las Bagi Anak Asuh Panti Asuhan Bundo Saiyo

    Keterampilan  merupakan salah satu  modal  yang  harus dimiliki oleh setiap  individu dalam menunjang  kehidupannya.  Salah  satu  keterampilan  yang  ada  dalam  ruang  lingkup  ilmu keteknikan pada umumnya, teknik sipil dan teknik mesin khusunya adalah keterampilan las. Berbagai  benda dan barang  yang ada disekeliling kita dibuat dan dirangkai dengan  sistem las,  seperti  pagar  besi,  kursi-kursi  dari  besi  yang  biasanya  terdapat  di  taman  atau  ruang terbuka dan masih banyak benda/barang lainnya. Bahkan selama berlangsung masa pandemi hingga sekarang, benda/barang yang sangat banyak diminati adalah tempat tatakan bunga dari besi, baik yang berdiri maupun yang digantung di dinding. Panti Asuhan Bundo Saiyo merupakan salah satu panti asuhan yang berada di Kota Padang, yang berkomitmen tinggi dalam menampung, mengasuh, dan mendidik anak-anak yang tidak mampu, yatim piatu dan anak-anak terlantar baik yang berasal dari daerah sekitar bahkan banyak dari daerah luar kota Padang. Anak-anak tersebut memiliki usia yang bervariasi, mulai dari usia balita hingga ada yang sudah kuliah. Namun demikian pihak panti selain menyekolahkan mereka, juga memberikan keterampilan-keterampilan yang sekiranya berguna bagi masa depan mereka kelak. Bertitik tolak dari hal tersebut dan adanya keinginan pengurus panti untuk memberikan keterampilan yang bermanfaat dan berhasil guna bagi anak-anak asuh nya serta dari hasil diskusi tim maka pemberian keterampilan las kepada anak-anak panti terutama yang laki-laki yang sudah berada di bangku sekolah menengah akan menjadi bekal yang baik bagi anak-anak tersebut nantinya. Kegiatan pengabdian di Panti Asuhan Bundo Saiyo dilakukan oleh 2 orang staf pengajar yang berasal dari beberapa prodi di Jurusan Teknik Sipil dengan dibantu oleh 2 orang mahasiswa yang telah menguasai keterampilan las/welding. Kegiatan ini sebelumnya didahului dengan pengarahan atau penyuluhan. Disamping itu juga akan diberikan percontohan dan pelatihan. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah adanya sharing ilmu dan keterampilan dari pihak perguruan tinggi kepada masyarakat dalam hal ini adalah keterampilan las bagi anak asuh pada Panti Asuhan Bundo Saiyo

    Basically the characteristic of steel products that is widely used in the construction process is structural steel. In order to compete with structural steel foreign-made, a standards compliance is a minimum requirement that must be done. To meet the JIS G 3302 grade SGC 400 standard, the results of the cold rolled process and continued with Cyclic Spheroidizing on 0,11% carbon steel, resulted in an elongation value that met the standards, but the yield strength and tensile strength were below standard. So that a heat treatment process substitution is needed so that 0,11% carbon steel can meet the JIS G 3302 SGC 400 standards. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of temperature and holding time with the cyclic treatment method on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 0,11 steel % carbon. Also in this research , 0,11% carbon steel was subjected to a heat treatment process with a 3-cyclic method at temperatures of 575, 625, 675°C, then cooled in air blower then given a holding time of 4, 6, 8 minutes. Then 0,11% carbon steel was subjected to tensile test, Vickers hardness test and scanning electron microscope as well as energy dispersive spectroscopy-Mapping. From the temperature variation of 625°C with the cooling medium of the blower produces mechanical properties that meet the JIS G 3302 SGC 400 standard.   &nbsp

    Perancangan Mesin Penggiling Padi dan Penepung Sekam Padi Skala Rumah Tangga

    Rice milling machines and rice husks that are in the community have helped a lot for farmers in terms of rice milling. From the data obtained after conducting the survey, it was found that the rice milling machine and rice husk flour had several shortcomings, including large size and requiring large space, also having a relatively expensive price. To produce bran requires two processing machines, so it is less effective because it takes a long time. The purpose of designing this machine is to combine two milling and flour systems into one to be efficient, and to design a machine with a small size so that manufacturing costs are affordable to farmers. The machine is designed to be operated using the power of a gasoline driving motor which is converted to a mill and flour movement for a one-time rice capacity of 15 Kg and 5 Kg of rice husks. The motor power is 5.5 HP with engine speed of 3600 rpm. The machine uses 3 pulleys with a size of 3 inches, 7 inches, 4 inches and there are 2 V-belts with a length of 76.89 inches and 63.48 inches so that the rotation of the motor which is originally 3600 rpm is reduced by the pulley engine speed to 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm. For the calculation of the pegs, the pin length of the mill shaft is 7.4 mm and the length of the peg shaft is 17 mm. The selection of bearings on the grinding shaft is bearing number 6204 and on the flour shaft bearing number 6202. This rice mill and rice husk flour machine has frame dimensions of 440 mm x 430 mm x 940 mm. Overall, the design results data are declared to fulfill the requirements to be designed and built

    Pengadilan Negeri yaitu sebuah lembaga peradilan tingkat pertama dilingkungan peradilan umum yang bekedudukan di ibu kota kabupaten atau kota. Pengadilan berfungsi untuk memeriksa, memutus, dan menyelesaikan perkara pidana dan perdata bagi rakyat pencari keadilan pada umumnya. Pengadilan Negeri Magelang tidak hanya sebagai lembaga penegak hukum dan memutuskan perkara saja, namun juga memiliki ciri khas tersendiri yang membedakannya dari pengadilan negeri lainnya, yaitu melalui inovasi teknologi yang diciptakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh inovasi didunia peradilan dalam hal melayani masyarakat dan untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap efektivitas kinerja pegawai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, kuesioner, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan pendekatan kualitiatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa inovasi yang telah diciptakan sudah dijalankan dengan sebaik mungkin dan dapat memacu kinerja pegawai menjadi lebih baik

    Pembandingan Perancangan Bangunan Tahan Gempa Menggunakan SNI 1726:2012 Dan SNI 1726:2019

    Indonesia has a code for designing a seismic-resistant building, which has always improved year after year. Start from Peraturan Perencanaan Tahan Gempa Indonesia Untuk Gedung (PPTI-UG) 1983, SNI 1726:2002, SNI 1726:2012, and the latest one is SNI 1726:2019. SNI 1726:2019 experienced some renewal on designing a seismic-resistant building. This research aims to compare spectrum response design and the structural behavior between seismic-resistant building design using SNI 1726:2012 and SNI 1726:2019. The reviewed structure behaviors are base shear force (V), drift (δmax), and story drift (Δ). The study compares the detail of the structural components as well as using SNI 2847:2013 and SNI 2847:2019. The research uses a 10-story building modeling that serves as an apartment building and located in the city of Banda Aceh. Seismic analysis using a spectrum response analysis with Special Moment Resisting Frame (SMRF) structure. The result showed that the peak acceleration (Sa) for the class sites of Medium Land (SD) and Hard Land (SC) were 11% and 26%, respectively, while for Soft Land (SE), there was no increase. The shear force in SNI 1726: 2019 has increased by 19.75% for the X direction and 19.97% for the Y direction. The increase in the shear force is directly proportional to the increase in drift and story drift. In the beam detailing and beam-column connection, there were no significant changes. While in the column detailing, there are additional provisions that cause the transverse reinforcement to be tighter

    Currently, the world's energi needs are still dominated by depleting fossil fuels, where the largest consumption produced from these fossils is electrical energi. For tropical country conditions, on average, every house and in city buildings use split AC as a tool to condition the room so that it feels comfortable for its residents. Where about 60% utilize electrical energi. In this study, split AC uses solar power as an alternative to electrical energi by using a solar photovoltage (PV) system as a medium for absorbing solar radiation to be converted into electrical energi in split AC. The goal is that the use of solar radiation is able to reduce the use of electricity from PLN, which so far requires a large amount of money. The research method begins by making a model of a device that is modified by an electric panel on a split AC connected to an inverter to convert DC to AC current from the PV cell. From the use of solar cells as electrical energi then the test results are compared with conventional split AC. The results obtained from the conventional split AC test can be seen that the efficiency is 85% while the solar-powered split AC has an efficiency of 73%, but for the use of electrical power that operates for 2 hours on a solar-powered split AC, it is more efficient with a power of 376 Wh per day

    Rapid prototyping is closely related to 3D printers (additive manufacturing). Rapid prototyping is a technique for making a prototype model from a CAD file which is the final result, while a 3D printer is one of the processes. The 3D printer process is by melting the filament layer by layer to form a component or product. The 3D printer melting process uses a heater on the nozzle. This study aims to analyze the effect of nozzle diameter and layer thickness on the accuracy (dimensional measurement) of 3D printer objects. To determine the precision, a test object was made based on ASTM D995-08. The variation of nozzle diameter used is 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm, while the variation in layer thickness is 0.1 mm and 0.3 mm. In this study, delta type 3D printing was used with polylactic acid (PLA) material to make test objects. Dimension measurement using ASTM D5947-06. Analysis of the measurement results used ANOVA with a 2-level factorial design type and a 2 factorial interaction (2FI) model design using Design-Expert®. software. From the actual measurement results, the most accurate (precise) results are obtained on the test object with a variation of the nozzle parameters with a diameter of 0.2 mm and a layer thickness of 0.1 mm. From the analysis of the specimen measurement data, it can be concluded that the nozzle diameter significantly affects the response of length, width and height while the thickness of the layer affects the response of the length and width of the specimen

    Permasalahan yang dialami oleh  Kelompok Unit Pengelola Sarana Air  “Tirta Sukapura” adalah  terjadinya kerusakan pada instalasi jaringan perpipaan mulai dari tempat pengambilan sumber mata air sampai ke bak penampungan. Kurang besarnya ukuran diameter pipa, sehingga volume debit yang dapat dialirkan kurang besar. Perlunya perbaikan pada instalasi pipa air, sehingga pada musim kemarau, masih bisa melayani kebutuhan masyarakat akan air bersih. Saat ini  manajemen pengelolaan air secara manual dan belum tertata dengan baik sehingga belum mampu memberikan pelayanan yang memadai. Sehingga, kondisi saat ini kelompok mitra belum bisa memanfaatkan sumber air bersih bagi warga secara optimal. Melalui Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini akan dilakukan beberapa tahap kegiatan sebagai solusi dari permasalahan yang dihadapi saat ini yaitu : penyempurnaan jaingan instalasi pemipaan, penambahan sarana instalasi pipa air, pelatihan keterampilan teknis dalam pemeliharaan instalasi pemipaan. Pemahaman dan kemampuan manajemen dan keterampilan teknik dalam pengelolaan kelompok air bersih ini diharapkan akan dapat meningkatkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, khususnya anggota kelompok air bersih..   &nbsp

    Pengaruh Penggunaan Abu Daun Bambu sebagai Filler pada Campuran HRS – WC (Hot Rolled Sheet)

    Perkerasan jalan di Indonesia umumnya menggunakan Lataston atau dikenal dengan istilah Hot Rolled Sheet – Wearing Course (HRS – WC) dimana pada campurannya menggunakan aspal, agregat kasar, abu batu, dan bahan pengisi (filler). Pada penelitian ini menggunakan daun bambu sebagai filler,karena tanaman bambu banyak ditemui di Indonesia terutama di Pulau Jawa. Berdasarkan studi literature, daun bambu memiliki kandungan silika yang hampir sama dengan abu sekam padi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan abu daun bambu sebagai filler terhadap karakteristik campuran HRS – WC terdiri dari VIM, VMA, Stabilitas, Flow dan Marshall Quotien. Penelitian ini menggunakan variasi kadar abu daun bambu 1%, 2%, dan 3% terhadap berat campuran dengan varias kadar aspal 6%, 6,5%, 7%, 7,5%, dan 8% pembuatan campuran mengacu pada spesifikasi Bina Marga 2018. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian abu daun bambu mempengaruhi nilai Karakteristik Marshall pada benda uji. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan nilai KAO pada persentase kadar abu daun bambu sebesar 2 % dan kadar aspal 7,5% dengan nilai stabilitas sebesar 1941,67 kg, flow 4,23 mm, VIM 5,10 %, VMA 22,57 % dan marshall quotient sebesar  459,00 kg/mm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa abu daun bambu berpengaruh terhadap karakteristik marshall sebagai filler

    Combustion Conduct Of A Single-Cylinder Spark-Ignition Affected By Ethanol Fuel Mixtures of Supplement Hydroxy Gas (HHO)

    Ethanol is an alternative fuel to replace fossil fuels. Ethanol's high octane value can substitute for power in spark-ignition engines (SI). Gasoline mixed with ethanol will reduce the calorific value generated and intensify the combustion process in the combustion chamber. Through the engine performance test, we can find out the increase in the performance of the SI engine. Several essential variables can improve engine performance, such as gasoline-ethanol variations, iridium spark plugs, and hydroxy gas generators (HHO). This research uses an experimental method by utilizing gasoline (octane-92)-ethanol variations (35%, 45%, and 55% v/v) with the intake of hydroxy gas during the combustion process. The SI automatic transmission engine has a capacity of 124.8 cubic centimeters (one cylinder-four stroke), a compression ratio of 11/1, fuel injection, and iridium spark plugs. Engine performance test using chassis dyno test with engine speed variations of 4000-9000 rpm. This study resulted in optimal performance on a 55% increase in gasoline-ethanol mixture with an intensify in output-power, pressure, and thermal efficiency at an engine-speed of 8000 rpm.
