No full textThis article reports statistics and some activities in the student guidance office as 2016annual report. From the reports of activities and statistical results, the number of students to utilize free space in student guidance office has been increasing for this 12yearsand free space functioned as “ibasyo” for many students. In addition to this, through UPI test and post-interview, six students sought support from student guidance office and four students continuously had counseling. Finally, statistical results addressed a variety of student’s problems for learning and career to developmental disorder and mental disease. In order to support these students, it is required for counselor in student guidance office to collaborate closely with other faculties and staffs inside the university and outside
Studies of Web Server Implementation and Navigation System for Autonomous Proximity Operations of the Weeding Robot “TAMBA”
No full textIncreased public interest in food safety and clean agriculture (e.g., ecological agriculture, organic culture and agrochemical-free cultivation) is driving a production system change from dependence on and use of agrochemicals toward their elimination. However, this raises a huge time- and labor-consuming problem with weeds. The weeding robot “TAMBA” decreases weeds in paddy fields without resorting to herbicides. ”TAMBA” autonomously travels while avoiding rice plant rootstocks. Final goal is to runs on schedule, return to the docking station and recharge like “ROOMBA”. In this time, we installed WebIOPi and set up Web Server on the Raspberry Pi in order to control and monitor the robot “TAMBA” in any browser under any operating system. And, we studied navigation system for autonomous proximity operations to the docking station using RSSI of bluetooth

Development of the Gel Indicator Using PVA and KI
No full textIn recent years, use of radiation beams or particle beams have been put to practical use for cancer therapy. In cancer radiation therapy, visualization of radiation patterns is absolutely necessary for precisely evaluating the dose distribution. In this study, we developed a new type of gel dosimeter using a doped polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based solution. We irradiated different gel samples with X-rays from a Hitachi MBR-1520R-3 source under different configurations to test the gel performance. We used UV-VIS spectrometry to measure the absorbance of transmitted light through the gel. The absorbance had a peak in the vicinity wavelength of 490nm. The results confirmed the absorbance to be proportional for increasing applied dose. In summary, a color transition gel was developed for use in detecting irradiation dose from X-rays. This technique has potential application for visualization of dose during medical procedures
