A Study for an Image Processing System that Judges a Line of Rice Plants on the Weeding Robot “TAMBA”
Increased public interest in food safety and clean agriculture (e.g., ecological agriculture, organic culture and agrochemical-free cultivation) is driving a production system change from dependence on and use of agrochemicals toward their elimination. However, this raises a huge time- and labor-consuming problem with weeds. The weeding robot “TAMBA” decreases weeds in paddy fields without resorting to herbicides. ”TAMBA” autonomously travels while avoiding rice plant rootstocks. Final goal is to runs on schedule, return to dock and recharge like “ROOMBA”. In this time, we studied an image processing system on the weeding robot “TAMBA” that judges a line of rice plants in an ideal environment that only rice plants grew on a paddy field
Two-Photon Ionization of Benfluralin in the Presence of Cyclodextrin
Photoionization of benfluralin(N-butyl-N-ethyl-α, α, α-trifluoro-2, 6-dinitro-p-toluidine: Benf.) of typical agricultural chemical was achieved with two-photon two-step excitation by using 266-nm laser pulse irradiation in the presence of cyclodextrins (CDs). The formation of the Benf./CDs inclusion complex was studied by minimize energy of Molecular Mechanics program 2. Ionization of Benf. within the laser flash (5 ns)produced a radical cation of Benf. and hydrated electrons. The ionization quantum yield (Φion) of Benf. in the presence ofα-, β-and γ-CD calculated to be 6.2±0.1%, 16.0±1.0%and 3.3±0.1%, respectively, and it is due to the property of the Benf./CDs inclusion complex. The Φion of Benf. in the presence of CDs(1.0×10-2M)was dependent on the stabilization energy of solvation. In the case of CD concentration (1.0×10-3M),Φion of Benf. was also dependent on the stabilization energy of solvation. Additionally, we found that bulky substituted amino groups is important for the two-photon ionization (TPI)of agricultural chemical when compared with TPI of carbamate based agricultural chemicals. These results suggest the possibility of the photolysis of agricultural chemicals in aqueous solution by using TPI of UV light irradiation
Fabrication and Characterization of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell by using Biomass Material
We demonstrated the fabrication and characterization of dye-sensitized solar cells by using biomass material. Specifically, we fabricated the biomass base platinum-electrodes. The solar cells had a photovoltaic conversion efficiency (η) of 1.36% under AM 1.5G at 100 × 10-3W m-2. Additionally, the photovoltaic performance at the higher efficiency was obtained by using counter-electrode with a platinum-thickness of~100 × 10-9m. These results indicate that our techniques can be used for future research on the fabrication of biomass materials based eco-devices
About the Southeast Asia Chinese Literature and "Anti-fascism"
Last year in China, there were a lot of commemorative activities to celebrate the “70th anniversary of the victory of the anti-fascism”. Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping participated in the military parade which was held to celebrate the “70th anniversary of the victory of the anti-fascism”. Even for Japanese, it is still a fresh memory. This is also reflected on various ceremonies in China. The author of this article is a member of the Southeast Asia Chinese Literature Research Society. The seminars of the research were held last year as “the Forum of Southeast Asia Anti-fascist Literature in Chinese, and for the 11th Southeast Asia Chinese Literature Symposium. The seminar started with the comment “China and the Southeast Asia shared the sufferings of the anti-Japanese”.For most of the Japanese, it is necessary to realize that China has been trying hard to share the “historical consciousness” with the surrounding countries obviously in recent years

Leg Control based on Human Motion Prediction Using Motion Sensor for Power Assist Suit without Binding Knee
Recently, power assist suits which support human physical activities have been researched. We are developing a power assist suit for workers in a nuclear power plant. If a
disaster happens, the workers have to wear heavy radiation protective equipment. The power assist suit is supposed to support the wearer so that it reduces the load of the radiation protection equipment during an operation. This paper proposes a power assist control method based on motion prediction using 9-axis motion sensors. The power assist suit enables rapid power assist because the motion sensor can detect the start of walking motion in real time. A motion database consists of angles and angular velocities of wearer’s chest, lower limbs, and joint angles of the power assist suit. The power assist suit recognizes the motion of the wearer based on the database.
Then, it assists the wearer based on the estimation of the motion of the wearer. We conduct experiments to evaluate the proposed method
