Developing a Scale for Mothers' Reasons for Breastfeeding
New Biometric System Using Accelerometer on Android Terminals
In this paper, we developed the wrist motion-based authentication system using accelerometer on Android terminals. In the previous researches, hand moving of writing the letter in field was set to target, although our system is using the wrist motion to improve visual silence and availability. Our system requires the moving after the vibration to improve the accuracy of authentication. We got characteristics of motion in 8 subjects. As the result, we got 11.25% of FRR at 10.357% of FAR on change the threshold estimation value
Active Learning Support System by the Student Reaction Using the Web Technique
In this study, we investigate active learning support system using the web technique. We suggest a technique to support an interactive lecture to improve the interactivity in the large lecture. In previous research, we developed two-way communication system between lecturer and students. In this study, we develop new class support system to be used during a lecture mainly. The lecturer writes a text of lecture contents on the Web page for lecturers. The students use the text written in web page for students. In addition, the students become able to return some reactions by utilize the reaction button. This system works on web browser. Therefore we can use it by simple operation on PC and smartphone
Study of the Flow Structure of a Newtonian Fluid through a Rectangular Channel with a Cavity (Flow Visualization and PIV Measurement)
The flow of fl uid through a rectangular channel with a cavity is a combination of basic fl ows. In
this paper, the fl ow structure of a Newtonian fl uid through a rectangular channel with a cavity in a low Reynolds number region was examined. We performed fl ow visualization and PIV measurement
using experimental equipment made by us. The swirling flow occurred in the cavity. The fluid in
the cavity fl owed around the central plane of the channel, spiraled, and moved toward the sidewall before fl owing out near the sidewall. The area where the swirling fl ow was generated changed by the Reynolds number. The swirling fl ow was strong around the central plane of the channel; however, it became weak toward the sidewall
Method for Evaluating the Form of Yarn in False Twist Yarn
Currently, Japan's textile industry has been declining because the cheap fiber product of
neighboring Asian countries is expanding the market. Therefore, Japan's textile industry differentiates itself by making fancy yarn of fiber products. Fancy yarn has a high added value. We researched the creation of false twist yarn from the fancy yarn. We are considering applying a 1/f fl uctuation to the yarn shape to add high value to the false twist yarn. However, these methods of production and evaluation have not yet been published. Construction of this method is desired. The object of our research is to provide the design materials for making yarn shape fl uctuations possible. We made the yarn shape imaging apparatus capable of shooting from various directions to evaluate the hreedimensional
shape of the false twist yarn. As a result, both yarn tension and twist count influence yarn thickness
First Design of an Indoor Robotic Plane
Recently, unmanned aerial vehicles (UVAs), called Drones , and unmanned ground vehicles (UGAs) have been developing rapidly. Acquiring knowledge of these vehicles will be very important for
students of a technical college. We have designed an indoor robotic plane for the university education of information engineering departments.
Considering safety, an airplane with a 1.3-m span and a 160-g fl ight weight that can fl y within
the confi nes of the general gymnasium was made of soft materials, such as expanded polypropylene
(EPP). This plane can fl y slowly (under 3.0 m/sec), and the turning radius is 3.2 m. The payload is over 160 g—suffi cient to accommodate a control microcomputer. It would be possible to learn elementary technology based on UVA
