Intercultural Communicative Competence: A Pedagogical Critic in English Language Teaching
Get PDFResearch about Intercultural Communicative competence with its relation to English language has been discussed among scholars. However, the discussion about how to integrate it into teaching and learning English in the classroom remains lacking exploration. This research investigated the lecturers’ ways of integrating ICC components in teaching and learning English. This research involved four lecturers of the English Education Department IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo which was taken purposively. The participants were the lecturers who taught receptive and productive skills. It employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through interviews and observation sheets and analyzed using thematic analysis. It found three lecturers’ ways of integrating ICC in teaching English, first, the teachers guided students to have intercultural knowledge, intercultural attitude, and intercultural skills in teaching the English language. Second, the teachers contrasted between English language culture and Indonesian culture. Third, the teachers asked the students to practice the activities which addressed to intercultural knowledge, intercultural attitude, and intercultural skills. This research implied that ICC is competence should be mastered by the English learners in the digital era

Get PDFThis research discusses community interaction in a village with various religions, thus creating a culture by the characteristics of Indonesian society. This research uses George Herbert Mead\u27s mind, self, and society theory. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were observation, documentation, and interviews. The results showed that the Balerejo Village community is a plural society, that respects and appreciates differences, they realize it by holding celebrations of several religions that are celebrated together, they also closely maintain unity and integrity which is realized through cooperation. Leadership in this village is also important in realizing several activities. Islam as the majority religion also has several activities that other villagers commonly carry out. In addition, the Balerejo Village community is a community that still upholds the ancestral values of Javanese society

Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi mekanisme pelaksanaan mediasi berbasis pendekatan restoratif di Pengadilan Agama Kota Gorontalo Kelas 1A pada tahun 2024, serta menilai sejauh mana pendekatan ini efektif dalam mengurangi angka perceraian. Pendekatan restoratif, yang berfokus pada penyembuhan hubungan dan dialog emosional, diterapkan sebagai alternatif untuk mediasi konvensional yang lebih menekankan pada resolusi hukum formal. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan implementasi pendekatan restoratif dan mengkaji pandangan pasangan yang menjalani mediasi terhadap dampak mediasi terhadap konflik pernikahan mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan restoratif efektif dalam mengurangi angka perceraian dengan memberikan ruang bagi pasangan untuk menyelesaikan konflik secara mendalam dan memperbaiki komunikasi. Namun, berbagai kendala seperti kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat, stigma sosial, dan keterbatasan mediator terlatih menghambat implementasi yang optimal. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya peningkatan edukasi masyarakat, pelatihan mediator yang lebih intensif, dan dukungan kebijakan yang lebih mendalam untuk mengatasi kendala-kendala tersebut. Dengan langkah-langkah tersebut, diharapkan mediasi berbasis pendekatan restoratif dapat diimplementasikan secara lebih efektif di Pengadilan Agama Kota Gorontalo Kelas 1A, memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mengurangi angka perceraian dan memperbaiki hubungan pasangan

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran hukum keluarga Islam dalam mengatasi krisis rumah tangga yang disebabkan oleh judi online. Menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis literatur terkait fiqh keluarga, fatwa-fatwa ulama, dan dampak judi online terhadap keluarga. Fokus utama penelitian adalah mengeksplorasi bagaimana hukum keluarga Islam dapat memberikan solusi atas dampak negatif judi online, yang merusak stabilitas ekonomi, sosial, dan emosional keluarga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa judi online bertentangan dengan prinsip-prinsip syariat Islam yang menekankan keharmonisan keluarga, sebagaimana dilarang dalam Al-Qur\u27an dan Hadis serta pendapat para ulama kontemporer. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan preventif melalui pendidikan agama, mediasi, dan konseling keluarga sangat penting untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Selain itu, lembaga-lembaga agama seperti KUA memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan pembinaan kepada masyarakat, sehingga hukum keluarga Islam dapat berfungsi sebagai pelindung keluarga dari kerusakan akibat judi online.
MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI SHALAT DHUHA MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL)
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Untuk mengetahui upaya guru dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi shalat dhuha kelas IV SD Inpres Layoa 2) Untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran problem based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kelas IV SD Inpres Layoa. Teori yang dipakai terdiri dari teori model pembelajaran PBL dan teori hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian PTK. Sampel penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas IV yang terdiri dari 10 orang peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan model PBL pada materi shalat dhuha peserta didik kelas IV SD Inpres Layoa dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik ke arah yang lebih baik. Pada siklus I terdapat 5 peserta didik yang belum meningkat hasil belajarnya, jadi hasil rata-rata kemampuan peserta didik pada materi shalat dhuha secara klasikal mencapai 50%, sehingga kemampuan belajar peserta didik secara klasikal pada siklus I sudah tercapai namun belum maksimal. Pada siklus II rata-rata kemampuan peserta didik dalam materi shakat dhuha meningkat menjadi 90%. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan model pembelajaran PBL sangat berperan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah pembelajaran
UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN PROJECT-BASED LEARNING (PJBL) PADA MATERI KETELADANAN KHULAFAURRASYIDIN
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Project-Based Learning terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar, kreativitas siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kognitif siswa pada pembelajaran Pendidikan agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti terutama di materi Keteladanan Khulafaurrasyidin. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini menggunakan rancangan “The Non Equivalent Pretest-posttest Control Group Design”. Berdasarkan uji lanjut LSD menunjukkan bahwa project based learning dapat mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa lebih tinggi 14%, kreativitas siswa meningkat 31,1%, kemampuan berpikir kritis meningkat 34% dan kemampuan kognitif siswa juga meningkat 28,9% dari pada pembelajaran yang diberikan tanpa melalui proyek. Pembelajaran berbasis proyek memotivasi siswa untuk belajar mandiri menemukan informasi sendiri dari berbagai sumber, seperti tim ahli, lingkungan sekitar, media dan internet. Siswa termotivasi bekerjasama dengan tim untuk menghasilkan ide-ide kreatif yang kemudian diwujudkan dalam suatu produk. Pembelajaran proyek ini juga melatih agar siswa berpikir kritis terhadap permasalahan kontekstual yang berkaitan dengan materi Keteladanan Khulafaurrasyidin melalui tema-tema yang mereka pilih, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa mulai dari menganalisis, mensintesis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta
Pengaruh Cash Flow dan Profitabilitas Terhadap Cash Holding Perusahaan Property dan Real Estate
No full textThis study examines the effect of capital expenditure, cash flow, leverage, and profitability on the company\u27s cash holding. This research uses a quantitative approach method. The population in this study is all property and real estate sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2020 – 2022. The sampling technique uses the purposive sampling method, with predetermined criteria obtained samples of 34 companies. The data used is secondary data obtained from the financial statements of the companies that are sampled. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques with the help of SPSS 23 software. The result of this study is that profitability has a significant effect on cash holding because the significance level of profitability is 0.042 < 0.05 and t-stat value of 2.058 > 1.985 (table t value). Meanwhile, Capital expenditure has no effect because the significance level is 0.064 > 0.05 and the t-stat value is 1.873 < 1.985 (table t value). Cash flow does not affect cash holding because the significance level of cash flow is 0.977 > 0.05 and t-stat value is 0.029 < 1.985 (table t value). Leverage does not affect cash holding because the significance level is 0.101 > 0.05 and the t-stat value is -1.658 < 1.985 (table t value).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis cash flow dan profitabilitas terhadap cash holding perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan sektor property dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2020 – 2022. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 34 perusahaan. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari laporan keuangan perusahan yang menjadi sampel. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan software SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian ini adalah profitabilitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap cash holding. Sedangkan cash flow tidak berpengaruh terhadap cash holding. Cash flow dan profitabilitas berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap cash holding
