Existência viva: a emergência de fenômenos não existenciais na experiência do sono sem sonho.
Full text linkoai:oquenosfazpensar.fil.puc-rio.br:article/703In this paper, I examine the problem of the emergence of non-existential phenomena in the field of historical existence. According to hermeneutic ontological pluralism outlined in the fundamental ontology of Being and Time, life and existence are two autonomous and irreducible modes of being. Based on the results of the recent science of sleep, I will emphasize the relevance of a formal indication, formulated by Heidegger in the Fundamental Concepts of Metaphysics, to explain the ontological commitments entailed by the interpretation of a special kind of phenomenal experience in the stage of deep dreamless sleep. Based on the concepts of existential feeling and bodily feeling, I will present the interpretation of the experience in dreamless sleep as the feeling of being alive. This interpretation leads to the conclusion that the ontological commitments involved in dreamless sleep reach the metaontological level, suggesting the need to elaborate a dynamic mereology of modes of being.No presente artigo, examino o problema da emergência de fenômenos não existenciais no campo da existência histórica. De acordo com o pluralismo ontológico hermenêutico esboçado na ontologia fundamental de Ser e Tempo, vida e existência correspondem a dois modos de ser irredutíveis. A partir de resultados da recente ciência do sono, ressaltarei a relevância de uma indicação formal, formulada por Heidegger nos Conceitos fundamentais da metafísica, para a explicitação dos compromissos ontológicos implicados na interpretação da experiência fenomênica no estágio do sono profundo sem sonho. Tomando por base os conceitos de sentimento existencial e sentimento corporal, apresentarei a interpretação da experiência no sono sem sonho como sendo o sentimento de estar vivo. Essa interpretação conduz à conclusão de que os compromissos ontológicos implicados no sono sem sonho alcançam o nível metaontológico, sugerindo a necessidade de elaborar uma mereologia dinâmica de modos de ser

Full text linkThis article aims to discuss bodily distancing, a step recommended by public health agencies facing COVID 19, in the perspective of hermeneutic solidarity. Seeking to understand social distance in solidarity terms, not only deepening its sense during the pandemic but visualizing it as an opportunity to philosophically resignify the sense of health promoted by entities and in the engagement of communities affected by the disease. Such discussion, although located in a pandemic moment, allows both a review of the reach of social health promotion processes, going beyond the biomedical protocols of individual and collective care, as advocated by WHO, as the practical awareness of the need of a healthy common environment, as Gadamer claims.O presente artigo tem como objetivo discutir o distanciamento físico, medida recomendada pelos órgãos de saúde pública no enfrentamento da Covid 19, na perspectiva da solidariedade hermenêutica. Busca-se compreender o distanciamento social em termos solidários, não somente aprofundando seu sentido por ocasião da pandemia, mas também visualizando-o como uma oportunidade de ressignificar filosoficamente o sentido da saúde promovida tanto pelas entidades da área quanto pelo engajamento das comunidades afetadas pela doença. Tal discussão, embora situada em um momento de pandemia, permite tanto uma revisão do alcance dos processos sociais de promoção de saúde, para além dos protocolos biomédicos de cuidado individual e coletivo, tal como é defendido pela OMS, quanto a conscientização prática da necessidade de um ambiente comum saudável, como reivindica Gadamer
O que nos fazem pensar Exu e Criolo?
Full text linkI interact with the doctoral thesis titled “Nos (Des)Caminhos da Exu: poética: As encruzilhadas afrossurealistas da criação de Criolo”. I produce commentaries in the style of Roland Barthes, and graft my reading to the thesis seeking a textual overflow effect. In the present text, that is nothing more than a possible preface or a footnote to reflect upon a thesis on a canvas, I use a derridian “an-architecture” and, upon following the traces of Andrade’s writing, compose another thought at the edge of a way of thinking, to articulate and write a thesis. It’s about the “promise” sustained by a text-commentary, a general “grafting” where movement does not have a beginning, an end and not even the certainty of contingencies, which points us to “another discussion”.Dialogo com a Tese de doutoramento intitulada “Nos (Des)Caminhos da Exu: poética: As encruzilhadas afrossurrealistas da criação de Criolo”. Produzo comentários à moda de Roland Barthes e enxerto minha leitura à tese, buscando um efeito de transbordamento textual. No presente texto que não é mais do que um possível prefácio ou uma nota de rodapé, para refletir sobre a tese em tela, utilizo-me de uma “an-arquitetura” derridiana e, ao seguir os rastros da escritura de Andrade, componho um pensamento outro nos limites da forma de pensar, de articular e de escrever uma tese. Trata-se de uma “promessa” sustentada por um texto-comentário, um “enxerto” generalizado, cujo movimento não tem começo, não tem fim nem certezas que não sejam contingenciais, acenando para “um discurso outro”
Desvios de uma escolha original: Foucault e as políticas da filosofia
Full text linkWould Philosophy be just one more discipline in curriculum or an original choice? This paper debates Foucault’s allegations in 70’s, especially in interviews, in which he defines philosophy, philosopher and the relations between them in society, i.e., what are politics of philosophy. For such, we draw on many author’s improvisations on the subject: the program of philosophy appears as fantastically dreamed by a “Chinese Borges”; an innovative graduation in it on Vincennes University would be a “trap”; there would be philosophers, but not philosophy; it would have lost its subversive power or its original choice character in some determined societies. Debating the ways of this bracing reflection, we suggest how Foucault runs from many traps out and emphasizes the importance of thinking politically what philosophy is. In the end, we hope to get forward with our reading less in the direction of a full definition of philosophy than defending its practice as an autonomous activity, sui generis, responsible for the social resistance of the art of reflecting.
Seria a filosofia só mais uma disciplina do currículo ou uma escolha original? Esse artigo discute alegações de Foucault na década de 70, especialmente em entrevistas, em que define o que são a filosofia, o filósofo e suas relações, i.e., quais as políticas da filosofia. Para tanto, recorre-se aqui a improvisos do autor sobre assunto: o programa de filosofia aparece como sonhado fantasticamente por um “Borges chinês”; a formação inovadora na universidade de Vincennes seria uma “armadilha”; haveria filósofos, mas não filosofia; ela teria perdido seu poder subversivo ou seu caráter de escolha original em determinadas sociedades. Ao discutir os caminhos dessa reflexão revigorante, sugerimos como ele escapa de diversas armadilhas e enfatiza a importância de se pensar politicamente o que é a filosofia. Por fim, espera-se com essa leitura avançar menos na direção de uma definição cabal de filosofia e mais em defender sua prática como uma atividade autônoma, sui generis, responsável pela resistência social da arte de refletir
O vírus e a redescoberta da natureza
Full text linkThe article points out how the pandemic of the new coronavírus interrupted the illusion that prevailed in the western civilizing project of dominance over nature. We were surprised by how a microorganism paralyzed the organization of the world. Through philosophy and art, the article explains the origin of that illusion in the anthropocentrism and humanism that gave man centrality in the universe, with the aim of showing that our actions on nature led to a new unpredictability. We are, therefore, in a moment of rediscovery of nature in its untamed potency.O artigo aponta a forma como a pandemia do novo coronavírus interrompeu a ilusão que imperava no projeto civilizatório ocidental de domínio sobre a natureza. Fomos surpreendidos pelo modo como um micro-organismo paralisou a organização do mundo. Reconstitui-se assim, através da filosofia e da arte, a origem daquela ilusão inerente ao antropocentrismo e ao humanismo, que concederam ao homem centralidade no universo, ficando explícito que nossas ações sobre a natureza levaram até ela uma nova imprevisibilidade. Estamos, portanto, em um momento de redescoberta da natureza em sua potência indomada
Pandemia pensante: notas sobre o que estamos nos tornando
Full text linkThe article highlights the Bergsonian concept of perception in Matter and Memory, in order to stress the present reduction of our possible actions and its consequences. It discusses some effects of the isolation and social distance that jeopardize the porosity of the skin and the openness of the body to the world and develops the notion of a teflon-skin. All those issues are then articulated with Heinrich Von Kleist’s essay Über die allmähliche Verfertigung der Gedanken beim Reden (“On the gradual construction of thoughts during speech”). In this essay Kleist examines the intricate intertwining of thought, speech and the atmospheric changes of the Gemüt. Also explored in Deleuze and Guattari’s A Thousand Plateaus, Kleist’s discussion of the lively production and exchange of ideas helps us to evaluate some relevant implications of the situation of isolation and confinement due to the pandemy.Partindo da retomada do conceito bergsoniano de percepção em Matéria e memória, o artigo tematiza certas implicações da retração atual de nossas ações possíveis. A seguir, discute efeitos da situação de isolamento e distância social sobre o fechamento do corpo e da porosidade de pele, propondo a noção de pele-teflon. Articula tal fechamento a perspectivas elaboradas por Heinrich Von Kleist no ensaio Über die allmähliche Verfertigung der Gedanken beim Reden (“Sobre a fabricação gradativa dos pensamentos durante a fala”), privilegiando as relações entre pensar, falar e as alterações atmosféricas da Gemüt geradas por interações entre corpos em presença. A partir do texto de Kleist, também explorado por Deleuze e Guattari em Mil platôs, ressalta o aspecto problemático do isolamento e do confinamento em tempos pandêmicos, no que concerne à produção viva e à troca de ideias
