    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF REALITY COUNSELING TO OVERCOME ANXIETY EXPRESSING OPINIONS FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. This study aims to test the effectiveness of reality counseling to overcome the level of anxiety express opinions of students in junior high. This research uses pre experimental pre-test type post test one group design. The data analysis used is paired test of T-test, to see the change of anxiety level in experimental group between pretest and post test by looking at t table price at degrees of freedom (dk), that is the magnitude is N-1, and at a significant level α = 0,05 (95%) then we get t-table = 1,833, assuming if t count> t-table then Ha “received”. From the test results using T-Test proves that effective reality counseling in overcoming anxiety expressed the opinion of junior high school students. Because t arithmetic 16,628> t table 1,833 on the significant level α = 0,05, then Ha “accepted”. Based on the findings of the research, for the next researcher, with the findings of reality counseling implementation to overcome the level of anxiety to express the opinion of the students, should be an inspiration in doing further research by applying counseling with other therapies, especially in an effort to overcome the anxiety level express opinion to the students

    CAREER INFORMATION SERVICES BASED ON FIELD TRIP TO IMPROVE STUDENTS UNDERSTANDING. The aims of this study is to: (1) find out the implementation of career information services in Magelang Regency; (2) produce career information service models with field trip techniques to improve career understanding of vocational students; (3) determine the level of career understanding of students in Muhammadiyah 1 Mertoyudan Vocational School; and (4) knowing the effectiveness of career information services with field trip techniques to improve career understanding of students at Mertoyudan 1 Muhammadiyah Vocational School. The population in this study were students of class XII of Muhammadiyah 1 Mertoyudan Vocational School with 29 students who were used as samples. The study design used pre-experimental: one group pretest-posttest design with saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used is Paired sample t-Test with consideration in this study using one independent variable (Independent Variable). The result of the effectiveness test of this study is that there is an increase in students' career understanding through career information services with field trip techniques. The level of career understanding of students has increased after participating in career information services with field trip techniques. This is seen from the increase in the results of the student's career understanding scale before and after being given career information services with a field trip technique of 28% and strengthened through the effectiveness test using a t-test that shows the -t count <-t-table, which is -9,583 <-2,045 or data Sig (0,000) < 0.05

    Perception Assessment of Guidance and Counseling Services among Educational Stakeholders in Selected Secondary Schools in Oyo State, Nigeria

    Guidance and Counseling is a service that all human beings need at one point of their life. There is no human being that has never got a problem at one point or another. This study focused on the assessment of perception of guidance and Counseling services among educational stakeholders in selected secondary schools in Oyo State, Nigeria. Descriptive research design of ex-post-facto type was used in the study. Simple and purposive sampling techniques were used in sampling 300 participants from 10 local government areas (50 schools) in Oyo state. The respondents were measured with validated scale of 0.91 reliability coefficient and the data obtained was analyzed using simple percentage statistical analysis. Three (3) research questions were raised and answered. The results showed that school administrators, teacher and parents (educational stakeholders) had negative perception of guidance and Counseling services. In view of these findings, the study recommended that educational stakeholders need guidance in order to understand and appreciate guidance and Counseling services and that parents should be made to realize that the times are fast changing and that they have to gradually change from the old ways so as to change positively to guidance and Counseling services

    EXISTENTIALISM APPROACH IN GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING PRACTICE. Existentialism could not be detached from Soren Kierkegaard’s idea, Nietzche’s, Karl Jaspers’s, then was developed by Martin Heidegger and Jean Paul Sarte who made existentialism become more outstanding. In psychology and Counseling, Existentialism approach get many influences from Kierkegaard opinion that opposes every efforts that view human being as an object, simultaneously opposes the subjective perception as only one human reality. Kierkegaard and many further existentialists, emphasize balancing between free-will and responsibility. Guidance and Counseling with existentialism approach appreciate democratic principle, emphasize dialog process, because freedom is one of choices. Based on this principle, every counselor has responsibility about value system which adopted by their counselee as long as it is not against with moral principle. Every counselor are demanded to behave ethically and rationally, and build value deeply and push their counselee to be responsible with their choice

    SOCIO-EMOTIONAL COMPETENCIES OF STUDENTS IN THE INCLUSIVE EDUCATION SETTING. The study aims to know the level of emotional-social competencies of gifted students and their implications for the program of appropriate personal-social guidance services to help gifted students improve emotional-social competence. Descriptive research methods were chosen to provide an overview of the phenomena that occur in the field. The research was carried out at Bandung Public High School 4 with the first high school background to carry out inclusive education. The sampling process is done by purposive sampling approach, with the meaning of the sample in the study selected based on predetermined criteria, namely based on the level of intelligence, creativity, and endurance of students who are above the average ability of students in general. The number of samples involved in the study amounted to 39 gifted students of class X in the academic year 2015/2016. Research to measure students' emotional-social competencies in addition to involving personal assessment, also involves peers and teachers who know gifted students. The results showed that the social-emotional competencies of gifted students were generally at the level of competency or were on average abilities based on personal, peer, and teacher ratings. Also, the results of the research were used as the basis for the preparation of a personal social program. The results of the program validation test show that the design of the program is considered feasible to implement

    KRR AS A PROGRAM FOR DEVELOPING HEALTHY SEXUAL BEHAVIOR IN INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0. Adolescents are in a transition period characterized by drastic physical changes, psychological instability, and adjustment of new social environments. The era of industrial revolution 4.0, which was marked by the acceleration of information and digitalization of life increasingly added to the challenges of adolescents to be able to achieve the task of sexual development. When adolescents fail to carry out their sexual development tasks, they can have negative implications for adolescent sexual behavior. Understanding and awareness of adolescent reproductive health (KRR) can be an alternative in developing healthy and responsible sexual behavior. This study aims to test KRR as a mode of intervention to develop healthy sexual behavior in adolescents. The research method uses a mixed-method by combining quantitative and qualitative data that supports each other. The research population of tenth-grade high school students was 250 students with a sample of 30 people. Purposive sampling technique by considering the pretest score on the average class is taken into consideration in the selection of samples—data collection by providing a scale of sexual behavior, observation, and interviews. The results of the study show: (1) in general the sexual behavior of students is at a level of caution towards the need for development; (2) The KRR consists of nine guidance content with an audio-visual based group guidance strategy; and (3) the KRR program is effective in developing healthy sexual behavior in adolescents

    THE LEVEL OF PARENTS SUPPORT TO LEARN CHILDREN. This study aims to describe the level of parents support to learn children. The results of this study serve as the basic design of home visit services as one way to improve the parent support system in learning children. This research is a quantitative research. The subjects of this study were students of grade VIII at SMPN 31 Purworejo which amounted to 31 students. The research data was collected using Parent/Guardian Support Questionnaire to Child Learning and Questionnaire of Child's Opinion on Support of Parent/Guardian developed by the researcher from Ariffin concept (1992) with the number of items of each instrument as much as 40. Reliability  value of instrument were calculated using Cronbach Alpa formula of 0,886. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistic using mean, mean, average, and standard deviation. Descriptions go through the categorization of normal distribution by category: very high, high, medium, low, and very low. The findings of this study show that 41% of parents/guardians have support for children's learning in very high category, 45,1% of high category, and 12,9% of moderate category. Based on the opinion of the students, there are 45,1% students who believe that the carrying capacity of the parents/guardian to the learning of the child is in very high category, 45,1% of the high category, 6,4% of the medium category, and found 3,2% of the low category. These findings serve as a basis for providing trajectory to parents to improve parental support systems for child learning.&nbsp

    ANALYSIS OF EXPRESSION THEORY OF ADOLESCENT LOVE AS PREVENTION OF SEXUAL BEHAVIOR BY USING EXPRESSIVE SUPPRESSION STRATEGY. Love is a form of positive emotion expressed differently by each individual. As a positive emotion, love should be interpreted as an element of emotion in which there is mutual respect, trust and respect for each other in order to maintain the relationship of sexual attraction that cause feelings of pleasure. Expression of love is now interpreted as a negative emotion in which the urge of passions that play a big role in a relationship. Sexual impacts will affect teenagers when the relationship is sustained, including increased rates of pregnancy out of wedlock, dropping out of school, and increased HIV/AIDS transmission. Based on a survey conducted by several agencies stating that Indonesia is an emergency against teenage sexual behavior. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim to find solutions to adolescent problems in order to prevent excessive love expression. Expressive suppression strategy as a response modulation strategy is expected to be a solution for teenagers. Use of this strategy by applying the stages in emotional regulation. The effectiveness of this technique to prevent excessive love expression needs to be proven in further research so that it can be used to assist school counselors in dealing with students

    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GROUP COUNSELING SERVICES USING PROBLEM SOLVING TECHNIQUES IN REDUCING STUDENTS TRUANT BEHAVIOR. Various problems faced by the student counselor at school. One of the problem is truant during the school hours. Truant behavior of the student with a wide variety of reasons as a form of defending himself in order not to get a penalty. This research was conducted in order to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services to problem solving techniques in reducing truant behavior among students of class X SMAN 2 Palangkaraya. This type of research is the approach of the Pre-Experiment without any form of class control with One-group pretest-posttest design. Subjects were students of class XI in High School Mathematics 2 Palangkaraya of 8 people identified as having truant. Research data collection using a scale. Data analysis using Paired Samples T Test with rocky SPSS software version 20.00. The results showed that the group counseling services to problem solving technique was effective in reducing the truant behavior of students at SMA Negeri 2 Palangkaraya
