    Two HIU students give their testimonies of how long they have been a Christian and how God has influenced their life: Taylor was in an abusive relationship where drugs and alcohol were prevalent. Once she got out of the relationship, she went to HIU where her new boyfriend asked her to convert. Once she did, she stated that God made it easier for her to get through her past, with a spirit of transformation. Austin grew up in church in Compton and felt like he needed to make something of himself. He wanted God to become real and individual. He talked about the blessings that God gave him when he started doing things for God rather than himself
