Keith Ham and his family worked with the Turkana people in the North-Eastern part of Kenya, then moved to Nairobi in 2003 to work in the Mathari Valley slums. They run a child sponsorship program, plant churches, minister to people, and make spiritual, community changes in the Mathari Valley. He speaks about urbanization and the negative image of cities, but God has a plan for the city. Jesus thought of the people in the cities. Cities are places of power and the poor. One reason that there could be lows is that there are seeds of doubt that are planted which take a long time to regain faith. The speaker states that it may feel like you don't know how to make sense of anything and nothing feels true, like a cognitive dissonance; but it's the only way faith is going to be your own.
