Ownership Structure and Firm Performance: Evidence from United Kingdom Listed Companies
Get PDFThe published empirical and analytical corporate governance literatures on the influence of ownership structure on company performance are still controversial. In our study, the correlation between ownership structure and firm performance is explored for 66 non-financial listed companies in UK over period from 2011 to 2015. Meanwhile this paper utilized value of Tobin’s q and ROA as the firm performance respectively in order to clarify comprehensive analysis. The results illustrated that institutional ownership does not have impacts on firm performance. Meanwhile, as the widely diffuse ownership structure is common in UK, our study shows that there is no correlation between first largest shareholder and company performance. Moreover this paper found the relation between government ownership and company performance is non-linear. In the final analysis, shareholding by the domestic shareholders is negatively correlated to corporate performance

Traditional static exhibition models are no longer sufficient to meet contemporary audience expectations, leading to the rise of new media-driven interactive exhibition formats. Interaction design plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between audiences and exhibits by facilitating multi-sensory, multi-layered, and immersive experiences. This study examines the evolution of exhibition viewing in the digital media era and establishes design principles that enhance interactivity. Through an analysis of case studies from the past three years, the paper explores the core components of interaction design in exhibitions: interaction object design, interaction behavior design, and interaction feedback design. This research identifies emerging innovations and technological advancements that shape the future of exhibition design. The Role of Culture Role in Motor Development
Get PDFMotor development is the process through which children acquire new motor skills and physical abilities, influenced by both biological and environmental factors, with culture being a key environmental factor. In Western developmental psychology, milestone research is commonly used to study motor development; however, traditional milestones are based primarily on a Western cultural context, neglecting cultural differences. This paper primarily analyzes cultural differences in infant motor development, focusing on four key milestones: sitting, crawling, standing, and walking. Through multiple research cases, it explores differences in maternal caregiving practices, parental beliefs about infant motor development, and other cultural factors, as well as how these differences affect the process and pace of motor development. The findings indicate that culture plays a significant role in infant motor development, with developmental speeds varying across cultural contexts. However, infants who develop more slowly do not necessarily exhibit deficiencies. Traditional motor milestones lack a cross-cultural perspective, and future research and policy development should account for cultural differences to gain a more comprehensive understanding of and support for infant motor development
