Exploring the Path of Integrating Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture into Ideological and Political Education in Universities
Get PDFExcellent traditional Chinese culture is the spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation. There are many problems in the current excellent traditional culture education in universities, such as students’ inadequate understanding of traditional Chinese culture, incomplete traditional culture curriculum system, relatively weak specialized teaching staff, and a weak atmosphere for traditional culture education on campus. As far as Jiangsu University is concerned, We can select content which aligns with the spirit and motto of Jiangsu University such as the patriotic sentiment of assuming responsibility for the country and nation, the enterprising spirit of self-perfection, the scientific attitude of seeking truth and pragmatism, and the ideal personality of cultivating profound virtues and characters. We can integrate excellent traditional culture into the ideological and political education by incorporating it into the curriculum and teaching system, compiling textbooks and reading materials with distinctive characteristics of the university, integrating it into online culture and campus culture, and practicing based on the unity of knowledge and action. This will aim to achieve an organic integration of excellent traditional culture and ideological and political education in universities

Applying knowledge graph to curriculum construction caters to the need for systematic knowledge integration and requirements of personalized learning, and provides convenient means for dynamic curriculum content update. However,The knowledge graph of the College English course (General English course) also has its own characteristics. Taking the course “College English 1” in the author’s university as an example, it demonstrates the design case of the knowledge graph construction, like multi-module integrated design, association of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills, incorporation of cultural background. The case also covers the relevance of the knowledge points, managing and operational details of the knowledge graph. Applying knowledge graph to English curriculum construction is beneficial for English learning and teaching, but it is still in the exploratory stage and has some limitations, so it’s necessary to fully explore its potential in future.

How FinTech Influences Green Industry Development: A Causal Inference Study Based on Double Machine Learning
Get PDFThis study employs panel data from 30 provinces between 2011 and 2023 to conduct an empirical analysis on the impact of tech finance on green industry development using a double machine learning model. The findings demonstrate that the advancement of tech finance contributes positively to the growth of green industries. The regression results remain consistent after a series of robustness tests. Mechanism analysis indicates that tech finance fosters green industry development by promoting the agglomeration of technological talent and facilitating industrial structure upgrading. Heterogeneity tests reveal that tech finance has a significant promoting effect on green industry development in eastern and central regions, while its impact is not statistically significant in the western region
Developing a Multi-dimensional Framework for Cultivating Intercultural Critical Thinking in College English Listening-Speaking Teaching
Get PDFBased on the theory of communicative language ability, this study integrates international and domestic standards such as the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) and China’s Standards of English Language Ability (CSE) to construct a cross-cultural and critical-thinking-oriented framework for English listening and speaking skills through localized adaptation. The research demonstrates how to flexibly reference existing language frameworks and make personalized adjustments to meet the practical needs of teaching and assessment at the local university. Employing a mixed-methods approach, which includes literature analysis, expert discussions, and empirical investigation, a three-level (Benchmark-Milestone-Capstone) descriptor bank comprising 149 core descriptors was established, covering both cognitive skills and affective dimensions. The study not only integrates international and domestic standards with institutional characteristics but also explores a pathway for cultivating cross-cultural critical thinking abilities rooted in the local educational ecosystem and aligned with institutional training objectives. Further refinement of the framework will be conducted through questionnaire validation and teaching practice, providing a solution for reforming English language teaching in higher education that combines global perspectives with institutional distinctiveness
