This study proposes a reform framework for structural mechanics courses that integrates interesting mechanics experiments. By Reconstructing teaching content, innovating teaching methods, and optimizing the evaluation system, a “theory-practice-political ideology” teaching model is constructed, providing strong support for better cultivating applied talents

I plan to use the conclusions to state avidly, poverty is not a fixed product of civilized life. To even try to believe this, we are taught, is a sin. Yet somehow our targets for eradicating poverty lag. Evidence for the Scientific Nature of Jurisprudence in the Context of the Philosophy of Science
Get PDFGiven that jurisprudence has long faced accusations of being a “pseudo-science”, establishing its scientific nature can provide a genuine justification for “why law deserves people’s faith and obedience.” The philosophy of science, as a theoretical framework for understanding science, should be applied to examine the scientific character of jurisprudence. Legal research methodologies not only align with the “verification principle” and “paradigm principle,” but legal knowledge itself also possesses objectivity and relative stability. Pure rationality and value-neutrality should not be the sole criteria for judging the scientific status of jurisprudence. Rather, jurisprudence is a discipline that integrates scientific rationality with humanistic concerns, and the methodologies of natural sciences do not fully encapsulate the essence of its scientific validity

Genre Analysis of Movie Trailer Discourse: A Systemic Functional Linguistics Perspective
Get PDFGenre analysis from functional perspectives has been extensively applied to various discourses in recent decades. However, movie trailer discourse (MTD), as a crucial promotional tool, remains understudied. This research conducts a generic analysis of 20 English movie trailer transcriptions drawing on Hasan’s Generic Structure Potential (GSP) theory and Martin’s Schematic Structure framework. Adopting a descriptive and qualitative methodology, the study investigates the generic properties of MTD and explores its semantic realizations through the three metafunctions (ideational, interpersonal, and textual) within Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL).The study addresses a gap in genre research by tentatively applying SFL to MTD analysis. Findings reveal that MTD exhibits a fixed schematic structure with distinct stages for meaning realization. Furthermore, MTD serves three key functions: (1) providing a narrative preview, (2) engaging audiences, and (3) integrating seemingly fragmental elements into a cohesive unit. This study not only expands the application of SFL to MTD but also offers insights into enhancing language mechanism for language learners to express their ideas appropriately in multimodal discourse

The current English language skills curriculum standards for vocational junior colleges and regular undergraduate education make it difficult to meet the special needs of vocational and undergraduate education regarding curriculum positioning, teaching content, and evaluation systems. This phenomenon of standard absence seriously restricts improving the quality of talent cultivation. Given this current situation, systematic research is urgently needed. Firstly, a comprehensive investigation should be conducted on the implementation status of language skills courses in English courses in vocational undergraduate colleges to grasp the teaching demands accurately. Secondly, conducting an in-depth analysis of the specific requirements of industry enterprises for the English proficiency of talents is necessary. Finally, combined with the characteristics of vocational and undergraduate education, the curriculum system for English language skills should be innovative. This research is related to improving English teaching quality and has important strategic significance for perfecting the standard system of vocational undergraduate education
